Is it dish washer safe?

YES it is dishwasher safe. Manufacturer says it is on their website. They have tested it in their kitchen and labs for 2 1/2 years of use and it is still in great shape.

What’s the difference between this one and the black one?

The difference is in the color of that piece in the handle. The "black" replaces the red. Otherwise, they are exactly the same. Hope this helps.

Is this made in China?

I don't know where it's made, but not very effective in warming butter to spread.
