The Turnip

Although I am a senior citizen, I am still enthralled with Jan Brett's books. Her illustrations are so wonderful, and it takes a minute or two to study each one and see all the details. The stories are always fun and interesting, even for adults! She is a premier author and illustrator of children's books. Loved this new one.

Like all of Jan Brett's books/illustrations, this is a magical big of fantasy and whimsy and who doesn't need that, regardless of their age! Great little book, and the very bright 8 year old young lady to whom I presented this was enchanted and proceeded to ask me all about - guess what? TURNIPS! I loved this book and so does she!

It’s a Jan Brett book. That speaks for itself. I got the hardback edition. So worth the investment!

Cute book grandson loves it

Always enjoyed telling this old folk tale to my preschoolers. This author modified the story, but it's still fun. Like the colorful illustrations. Especially like the bear's house. It's a fun winter tale and an old classic story.

Jan Brett is a master at her craft of writing and illustrating children's books. I go to her books when I get to read to my grandchildren because they are so captivating with her story and art. We never get tired of Jan Brett books. It is a pleasure to read them.

Our daughter absolutely loves this book. Illustrations are very nicely done and incredibly detailed. Charming story.
