Works great!
I am attempting to make my own gummies for my kids since all store bought ones have dyes and “natural flavors”. This is perfect for what I need it for and doesn’t leave a strange flavor. Read the directions!

Homemade gummies
I purchased this to make gummies for my husband who is allergic to beef and isn't able to have gelatin. The agar agar isn't really the same texture as gelatin but overall its not horrible. They taste like fruit snacks instead of gummies but overall they are delicious. The instructions are clear and the taste is good.

Too fishy for a vegan
This Agar Agar power has a very strong fishy smell. It definitely is not the same content as the rectangular sticks that I’m used to. Those sticks of this plant in its original form actually have no fishy smell at all! Perhaps the manufacturer has incorporated all bits (maybe some shrimps and other sea creatures?) It stinks and definitely is not enjoyable to eat. Also, the item cannot be returned upon discovery of this problem adding to the pain of buying it.
