needs improvements
Few things for Amazon Kindle team to consider- Users of this type of product must purchase it every year. This is NOT a one time purchase. FAA makes mid year corrections and updates which are available with a hard copy and included in h/c price. We need electronic updates for the kindle version included in the price.- Users of this book mark the pages and highlight the details of the hardcopy for ease of use. When we by the next year's version we put the old and new copies side by side and transfer the bookmarks and highlights. There is no way to do this with kindle version except going page by page and redoing it. You cant open two copies at the same time.- it is much harder to find what you are looking for( comparing with the hard copy version). Kindle has to add hyperlinks to subsections' table of contents.- Recommended solution: following tne one time initial puchase provide rev update service (subscription) that updates revised sections and keeps everything else untouched.- as result I ended up buying a hardcopy as well.

this was great. The print edition is a thick book and ...
I have the kindle version and therefore am writing a review on it. The only reason I gave it three stars is because it does not have page numbers that correspond with the print edition. I was using this book as I studied for my written exam and missed having page numbers while discussing it with a group of friends who were also preparing for their written exams. Other than that, this was great. The print edition is a thick book and I was happy not to have to lug it around with me. My ipad goes into the plane with me and so I always have this along.

ASA: The Best in FAR/AIM's in My Opinion
... Sure, both ASA's and Jeppessen's versions contain the same information. I like the look of the ASA version better though myself. Can you do better than ASA for a FAR/AIM? Personally, I have to say "NO." As much as I might otherwise recommend Jeppessen, who also puts out a FAR/AIM with their name on it, they have at times fallen short on the quality I expected from them. (For instance Training videos produced in the 1980's, early 90's that were transferred to DVD completely unchanged or updated.) ASA has yet to let me down for ANYTHING to date.

Worthless!
It's a reprint of the FARs, formatted for kindle (no issues there). But the table of contents has an entry for each major section, for example FAR part 61, part 91, etc... These are the FARs. Part 61 is huge!!!, and there are no indexes for subparts. Moreover, the search function on my (recent) iPad never completes a search, because the document is huge. This document is formatted like a book that you'd read from cover to cover. It impossible to find anything!Don't bother with this version. Find another that has subsection indexes, or just buy the paper copy for 15 bucks.

ASA quality
Yes, it is an extremely boring publication that pilots should own.. However, I must say that ASA does a great job with quality control of their FAA publications. I've gone through a good part of the book, and all of the figures and diagrams are printed correctly and sharp (not blurry). I've been very pleased with everything that I have purchased from ASA, and will continue to purchase their aviation publications.

FAR/AIM manual. A must have for anyone in the aviation field.
When ever in doubt or have a question of aviation related things, this is the only book needed to answer those in full summary with nothing to misconstrue. In depth answer and facts on everything you could want or need to know. And goes beyond what is technically needed to fly. It also comes with lifetime updates and changes via email. So one purchase will last a lifetime.

A critical reference for pilots
FAR/AIM contains vast amounts of required knowledge for pilots and this book is a great reference for such. The analogue version (hard copy) is very large and bulky and the kindle edition will enable one to have this great reference with one at all times (without having a wheel barrow to lug it around). Additionally, the e-copy is much less expensive than the hard copy.

Very good and handy book.
I am starting to prepare myself for taking pilot lessons and this book is very useful in this case. Everything is shown and explained very clearly. I highly recommend it, if you are starting/preparing to do something in aviation sector.
