3M Hard Hat, White, Lightweight, Vented, UV Indicator, Adjustable 4-Point Ratchet, H-701V-UV

Love it! Rides high on my head, due to the design, but who cares about looks when you get head protection from low hanging branches. This helmet is light in weight and so comfortable to wear. I really like the handle which allows you to adjust the band so as to fit the helmet snuggly on your head. The royal blue color is as depicted in the photos. So nice to have ventilation, unlike my old helmet. Be sure to watch the video on how to install the band. This can be confusing until you watch the video from other customers or on You Tube. Great buy.

Really great hard hat, color is almost exactly as shown in the Amazon picture. I saw a bunch of people complaining about the color being too dark, maybe they got an old version, I have attached a picture of my neighbor wearing this hard hat. I made him wear it when he was doing some light construction in his garage. Inside head band is very comfortable and it's nice that it has the clickey adjustment knob in the back to make it tighter so it doesn't fall off. It's pretty light although this is the first hardhat i've ever used so I can't compare, I mostly use this for cutting branches in my back yard and other light construction stuff around the house.

Cheap, light and effective. Not hard to put together. I had to do a quick search for a YouTube video to figure out the proper orientation to slide the suspension tabs into the shell (see pictures). Once you get that, assembly is a snap.

It's a great hat, venting is a must-have or you're sweating instantly. But the instructions (and youtubes!) are TERRIBLE! about how you insert the inner webbing. You fold the insert-tabs like they say (fold them outward), but they don't show that you have to insert the *rectangular* piece of the tab, not the tab itself. I wrestled with that for about 20 minutes before catching on. Once you do that it goes together in seconds, no looking back. It's a nice shade of green.

This product was exactly what I needed to do work in the exposed-beam attic in our house. I like the color being a botanist (think chlorophyll!). Having had a few bumps and scrapes and even slivers in my head, it was an overdue purchase. This is light in weight but strong. The suspension keeps the plastic away from your scalp for evaporation and good skin "breathing." The adjustments were fairly easy, but did take a few moments to assemble. The adjustment knob is simple to operate, and it allows you to have it on loosely or snugly as you wish. I does seem to have a very large size range. I'm 7 7/8 (huge) size so it was nice that it accomodates my head and even larger sizes! I don't know what the Uvicator Sensor is all about...but it won't matter for me...I'm wearing it indoors! Highly recommended.

I have now owned this hardhat for a few years and use it at work a lot. I will try to describe the difference between this hat and the others I have used throughout my life. First off this is the most comfortable hat I have ever worn. The fit, the air vents, the feel makes this so when I have to wear a hard hat it is not a struggle. It also is very protective I have had poles, and ropes hit me in the head and the hard hat protected me very well. It has held up to high use over time, and when it comes time to purchase a new one it will be the one i buy. Unfortunately I'm not sure when that will be because this has held up so well.

El casco me parece muy bonito sin embargo es difícil de armar, no tiene instrucciones claras, ya he tenido casco 3 M pero traen una goma de protección de impacto; pero este no tiene ninguna protección de impacto, que absorba los golpes. Ese sería un punto de mejora.

Sorry, I can't include photos here. The hard hat itself is nice.... but getting the suspension installed properly is not obvious. The instructions accompanying the hard hat are TERRIBLE, and the video for installing the suspension does not focus on the crucial information. The "human factors" of this design are horrible because the keys on the suspension can fit two ways. The way that seems right/obvious is backwards, resulting in the suspension not being tucked up inside the hard hat shell. To install the suspension properly, you need to fold over the little plastic rings at the creases, and slide the keys into the slots the other way around. Other reviewers have criticized the bad instructions for "similar" 3M hard hat models that differ in color, whether they are vented or not, and whether the suspension ratchets. These all share the "same" design for the slots & suspension. The trick: FOLD OVER THE LITTLE PLASTIC RINGS AT THE CREASES AND INSTALL THE KEYS IN THE SLOTS THE OTHER WAY AROUND. Not sure why 3M doesn't just say that in the instructions, or post a video that shows the installer folding the plastic rings over. Summary: Good hard hat with nice fit & easy adjustment..... once you figure out how to install the suspension.

My previous one was of the same brand and model. Packaing was good and delivery was on time. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
