Ajax us a bleach-based cleanser while Bar Keeper’s Friend uses gentle abrasives. The type of product best for you depends on how you plan to use it. For example, I use Bar Keeper’s Friend to keep my pots and pans sparkling. I would use Ajax to scrub my sink.

Is it safe to use on enamel?

I use bio cleaner for my enamel cast irons pans, works great.

No, it does not appear to remove scratches, with some elbow grease you can remove light rust stains, and accumulated soap scum and grime.
