I used this traction tape to replace the worn‑out grip on my mower’s running board, and it’s held up extremely well. It’s been on all summer through heat, rain, and regular use, and it still grips just like the day I put it on. The adhesive bonded firmly to the metal, and the surface gives solid traction even when the mower is wet. For an inexpensive fix, it performs better than I expected and has handled the weather without peeling or lifting at the edges. If you need a durable, no‑slip surface for outdoor equipment, this tape works great and lasts.

I have a wooden ramp up to my front door. When it snows, it can get really slippery. I love this anti slip tape! It’s the perfect width and sticks to the wood well. I have used other anti slip tape in the past but it always ends up being to smooth and I have slipped before. I haven’t slipped once, since I put this Life Grip anti slip tape on my ramp. Glad I found it!

It was good stuff work fine putting on my ladder stairs so I wouldn’t fall. Appearance was good, Bility was great, sticking us was very sticky. And durability you could use it on anything. I guess I give it five stars and I’d buy another roll if I had to.

I needed to improve the traction on a pair of steps on a lightweight 3-step ladder that I use frequently when washing my truck. The bare aluminum steps always seemed extra slippery when stepping down. I tried out the Lifegrip Anti-Slip Traction Tape (2" wide) - the surface is definitely sandpaper-like, close to 120 grit, which is perfect for my use, but the adhesive didn't seem very tacky - edit Dec 8, 2025 - I've found that this traction tapes adhesion is still holding exceptionally well after getting wet several times over during a SUV wash and hit a few times with a pressure washer. I was wrong; the adhesion appears to withstand a good beating. This is what I did to prep the surface area to give it every chance to adhere at its best: I cleaned all of the surfaces where I was going to appy the traction tape with isopropyl alcohol (90%), then I broke out my heat gun and heated the surface prior to applying the tape. Once I laid down the tape, I used a 2" rubber roller to apply even pressure throughout the contact areas and using the heat gun along the areas I rolled. For the plastic top step, I did the same, but I also applied a thin layer of 3M adhesion promoter. The results came out as expected and after a week of use with some water overspray, the tape is still adhering, even at the corners. I was able to press the traction tape into the crevice areas of the top step (see photos) - the roller definitely helped with this and the tape still holds its adhesion to those uneven surfaces. I think this is a win and definitely worth its modest price.

This tape is so expensive, but I wanted this color and the brand has a good reputation, so bit the bullet. It was easy to cut and apply where I needed it. We used this tape on a wooden ramp for our camper - our bigger senior dogs and the small breed dog have issues with the stairs, so a ramp was necessary, but ended up being slippery and steep. This tape was a dream, us humans & the dogs had no issues sliding on the ramp anymore. The portions not protected by the awning of the camper quickly washed off with just sun and rain after a week or so....our free range chickens were also obsessed with this tape. I didn't think about that when I chose the color...ugh. Am I happy with the purchase? Yes because it really helped the slip factor. I just wish it held up a bit better in the elements on the portion not protected.

This is excellent tape. I'm using in on a hunting platform and it holds up well in ALL conditions.

I got this product specifically to fix a seemingly notorious problem with calf raise machines. Almost every machine ive used, the foot platform is so slippery and you can only get a few reps before your feet nearly slip off. I put this tape on the foot platform of the calf machine in my gym, and my feet were suddenly rock solid and rooted in place! No slipping off the platform! A couple other gym goers i asked also noticed the improvement and liked it! Will report back if it ends up falling apart

I got the thin reflective strip to put on a walkway with a nearly invisible drop down step. Works like a charm. Just cut a piece, press it down, and you've got a nice, grippy, reflective safety warning. The black part is extremely grippy, so I suppose you could use it to fix slick stairs or something too.

I like the product and had placed another order. The yellow band glows in the dark and also non skid material helps myself and my pets walking up and down the stairs. since the width of the stairsteps differ from the top to the bottom, I can cut from the roll accordingly. My children like the glow and now asked to place on more areas so that we don't need to turn on so many lights in the dark. One thing I don't like it captures a lot of my pets' hair on the steps, have to keep cleaning or vacuuming.
