EE PAYG SIM Card Preloaded with 2 GB of 4GEE Data, 300011784

Was on the fence about purchasing due to bad reviews but tried my luck and glad I did! Bought two 2GB SIM cards. I originally tried to activate the cards here in the US but the online service does not give the option to activate the purchased data. I was again slightly worried, but still took them on my trip. Upon arrival in Germany, going to the site, add-on.ee.co.uk, now provided the "Activate" option on the pre-loaded data. Success! I was able to use my phone with 4G connection in all of Germany and Switzerland. No issues whatsoever. My partner was also able to add data on the fly by purchasing an extra 2GB for about $8, excellent deal! Here is also a plus: In Switzerland the data usage completely stopped tracking. I'm not sure if this is a feature or if there is a bug in their data tracking through the Switzerland carrier (Swisscom), but I was able to have UNLIMITED data in Switzerland! Would definitely recommend these SIM cards for Europe travels. Much faster speeds (4G) compared to friends that had T-Mobile overseas service added to their plan. Worked well our 14 day trip to Berlin, Germany and Hamburg, Germany. Signal strength was consistently good for chat, internet browsing, and YouTube. Sim card can only be activated after leaving the US. SIM does not work in the US.

I bought the sim card in the U.S., and when I installed the card in the Netherlands, it didn't work. I had to use Skype credit to call their tech support located in the UK, and that number cost a lot of money ($5 for less than 30 minutes). In the end, one of the tech support couldn't solve the issue, and the other one I talked to promised to call back but never did. I wasted half day of my trip dealing with this useless SIM card. Don't waste your money on this!!!

US guy that went on a UK visit, got one for myself and my wife. This worked out well in Verizon Pixel 3's with one exception. My wife comes from an unlimited plan and after about 10 days blew through 2 GB without flinching. Went to top up her sim online and the EE website just threw generic errors. Tried again an again as it told us to just keep retrying. In desperation went into an EE store top top up. The guy in the store told us online only works with UK bank cards / credit cards ( I wish the website was better about the error message) but you can top up in store with non-UK cards. The guy suggest 10 pounds, so our account got a 10 pound credit, it turns out that was an odd amount, 7 pounds got us 2 more GBs ( which is what we wanted) so I guess we have 3 pounds banked on EE, probably never to be used again. The system could be more clear for top up and more friendly to foreign credit cards which is the only complaint.

Buying a SIM on Amazon ahead of time is a gamble - this one paid off. I set it up when I arrived in London, then it automatically connected to local networks in Denmark, Sweden, and Finland. Perfect speed and reliability everywhere I went, even underground in subways. The key is the set up: put in the SIM card, turn your phone on, and leave it alone for a few minutes. Wait until "No service" changes to whatever the local 3 or 4G connection is. Then go to add-on.ee.co.uk - ignore the first step about registering your card, just click activate. I used it for a week of maps, social media, email, and other apps, making sure to connect to WIFI whenever possible to save data. After 7 days I received a notification that I had used 80% of my data. If you're worried, change the settings on some of your apps that you don't use to avoid having them run on data unnecessarily. I had plenty of data for my one-week trip.

First I am very cautious about my data plan, turning off apps that are hogs etc...did the same thing while in Italy and can not find out how I went thru 2gb in 4 days and when trying to reach help it is nonexistent. NOT worth it.

This was a total scam. Even though it connected just fine to the local cellular network ( I went to Germany), it did not have any data and would not even connect to the website for me to register initially. A total waste of money. I ended up using my US-based Verizon international data plan which cost me $10 per day. I want my money back !

I used the UK EE card to travel around Europe recently. It worked great!! Note, it took a couple of hours to connect, but once it did it was good to go!! It will definitely be my goto card when back in Europe.

セントマーチンで使用可能となっていたため購入。日本語の説明書はついていませんでした。 見開きの英語の簡易？説明書はついていたようですが。 だめもとで現地で取り付けてネットで調べつつ試しましたが結局通じませんでした。 日本語説明書が欲しかったという意味で☆３つです。 使い方がわかる人はいいのではないかと思います。

Great! Once I knew what to do, was up and running really quickly. I have an iPhone SE. Turn phone off. Insert the SIM. Turn phone on. Disable your home Wi-fi from your Phone Settings. Open browser on your phone and it will take you to a Registration page. Fill in your details to register. (Your phone number is on the SIM packaging). Click the Activate Button. It should then update with what package you bought. Done!

I am very pleased with this SIM card. It's been everything I wanted it to be. The coverage of EE is excellent in a place in the UK where I has almost completely unable to get any kind of signal with another major provider. Recommend this. But read the other reviews, especially if you intend international use, or are coming to the UK and intend to use it here, or abroad.
