This helmet is all about fit. The Cruiser Shorty half helmet is for the rider who is looking for styling and comfort as the Cruiser fits lower of your head unlike other comparable traditional DOT half helmets. Made with an injection thermoplastic alloy shell finished with premium automotive paint and clear coated for additional scratch protection. Plush breathable brushed nylon comfort interior and a double D-ring retention system. 3-snap bubble visor included. Meets and exceeds DOT FMSV218 standard. Available in sizes X-Small through X-Large.

Fits about right, and doesn't come with a decal on the front!
The fit is just about right - I have a 22 3/4" head, and the medium helmet is slightly loose. A complaint voiced by another reviewer was that he didn't want a helmet with someone's decal on it. Mine came with the decal in the box, so I could apply it or not, depending upon my desires. The visor attached easily and looks good. I also bought a quick-release buckle, and it's much easier than fiddling with the D-rings.

I bought two of them
The "Core" brand is surprisingly very nice overall quality at its price point. I bought two of them in matte black S. Along with a couple sets of Bear Claw ear inserts, they are perfect cruiser shorty's that fit great, very comfortable and have a decent low profile that looks good on. Not a melonhead! The red interior is a personal preference but adds a bit of definition. The Core brand sticker comes separate in the box and not emblazoned on the helmet itself which I elected to omit of course. I highly recommend the helmet.

Strap will not tighten
This is about what you might expect for a $35 helmet. There is no soft padding beyond the thin liner. The shell is whatever it says in the product description with about an inch of hard foam inside to caress your head.It is heavier than my full face helmet.I bought this to use when riding around town so was going to keep it no matter how bad it was but there is a problem. The chin strap will not tighten.I threaded the strap through the D rings as I have with every other helmet I have ever used. But when I pulled the end to snug it up, the strap would not slide in the D rings.I took the helmet off and threaded the strap through the D rings with the helmet in my lap. I had to pull really hard to get it to tighten. When I attempted to release the strap, it was very difficult to get it to slide backwards through the D rings. The strap appears to be too wide for the D rings or it might be too stiff or the D rings might be too sharp to allow the strap to slide easily. I do not know which.I normally wear an XL helmet but ordered a large based on the sizing chart that was on the Amazon’s description. Large size fits OK.With other helmets, there is a “break in” period where the helmet will more or less conform to your head. I do not believe that sort of thing will occur with this helmet because of the hard foam inner padding. The helmet comes with a helmet bag and a visor.Bottom line: For $35 it is a DOT approved helmet that does not look too much like a mushroom head.I would have kept it but without being able to tighten the chin strap, it is of no use to me.I think a better option for buying a helmet is to go to a motorcycle shop, bite the bullet on price and get a helmet that fits and works.

I like this helmet , very pleased
Got my Core cruiser shortie today and put 130 miles on my 1997 Honda Valkyrie, with stock windshield and pipes that are a little too loud. Buffeting and noise are totally acceptable. Was using my Shoei RF 1100 full faced with ear plugs and was having a miserable time with exhaust noise and buffeting. I’m 70 yrs old and riding since I was a young kid on doodle bugs, and must say this inexpensive helmet is really made nicely and good quality. Would have given it 5 stars but the double D ring fastener on chin strap needs a little more refinement. Would definitely buy again. The size is accurate to the measuring table, Fits great

Great value for the price
I am kind of in the middle of helmet shapes (intermediate oval and long oval) so finding one that fits good can be challenging. Overall fit is pretty good I'd give 4 out of 5 stars to fit (a little longer front to back and a wee bit less side to side would have made it perfect). It's not the heaviest helmet I've worn but not the lightest either. It kind of falls somewhere in the middle weight wise for me. For the price i paid for this helmet I don't think you will find a better deal on a D.O.T. helmet. Visor does rattle slightly at highway speeds but main function of this helmet is for around town when a full face is too hot to wear at lower speeds.

Nice helmet
This is my favorite helmet! I looks more feminine, matches the color of my scooter, fits great, and... Well, I just love the feel of it! Since I have it wear a helmet, this is a good match!

Light Weight
I got this helmet for riding my motoped around the neighborhood, with some light/easy trail riding, and I like it. Although I wouldn't use it on the highway with my bigger bikes (I wear a full face helmet for that), it's nice and light with exceptional ventilation at the motopeds' lower speed. I have a 23 1/4 inch circumference head, and usually wear a large, so I ordered a large and it fits well.

Fits true to sizing chart and made well
Its always a bit sketchy figuring out helmet sizes from helmet manufacturers online sizing charts. This helmet was sized true to the chart.I wear a 7 3/8 hat size and my large helmet purchase fits perfectly. The helmet looks to me to be very well made.I find it very comfortable and like the double strap attachment points on either side of the helmet. My old HJC 1/2 helmet had only 1 strap attachment to the helmet. The helmet construction is a bit lighter than my HJC but that makes it more comfortable for me on longer rides. Its not one of those thin Non-DOT approved type helmets you see riders using these days.Over all I'm happy with my purchase and would recommend this to other riders.
