Using the subscription service eliminates the guess work as the product shows up every six months. The filter works as described. Price is fair. Best to automate delivery of filters.

I learned my lesson trying to be cheap last time, with an aftermarket water filter. So this time I bought the brand name and surprise!! It fits perfectly; no funny taste, and NO LEAKS! 🥳🥳🥳 With that being said, there's no replacement for quality filters, it's compatibility was flawless, it popped right in. The water tastes great now and I couldn't be happier. So do yourself a favor and buy the brand name. You can thank me later!!

The OEM filter is more expensive, but the water quality is much better. Trust me, don’t cheap out, get a genuine LG filter. Use the subscribe and save so you never forget to replace it. It’s definitely worth the extra money, you know exactly what you’re getting with an authentic filter.

The filter is extremely effective - we are using it in a costal area where the tap water tends to have a metallic taste. The filter effectively removes that flavoring, leaving nuetral flavored water. It is, however, a definite challenge removing the old filter, even once the light cover and shelf are removed, it is still a pain to remove. However, once the fridge decides to reelease the old filter, the new is easily installed, the locked and unlocked indicators make aligning the filter a snap, and the successful seating has a tangible physical feel as well as a sound.

This filter works exactly how you’d expect. Easy to install and the water tastes clean. No issues so far... just a reliable LG replacement that gets the job done.

This filter works for both LG and Kenmore. I have a Kenmore fridge. I ordered my filter from Water Filters Fast. I received my filter in 4 days. It looks like they changed the picture but at the time I ordered it they showed the "premium filter" label. I received the filter with LG in the top left corner, blue background, and small writing. I installed it and it works great. No issues or funny tasting water. I hope it lasts the full 6 months. Usually I can go closer to seven months on the water filter. I am including the seller information in my review because I seen other reviews complaining that it is not the same filter or a generic version. I do believe this is an LG filter. It does not look generic at all. My best guess is maybe this is the label they use for buying it in bulk and not individually boxed items. I'll try to update when I need to replace the filter :-)

Got this filter for my side by side LG refrigerator when it was time to replace the original one. It is exactly the same part, not an aftermarket cheap one (not that all aftermarket are cheap, but it's sometimes hard to differentiate on the web). No issues at all, still have great tasting water. For this price, nobody should go without a filter, it makes a big difference, even if our city water is pretty good here, but it does remove the chlorine odour that we have sometimes after a peak demand period. Amazon price for this is much cheaper than what the appliance stores charge. I just bought my second one to have on hand when my 6 months are out, as they are not always in stock.

Purchased for our LG Fridge Freezer, beyond that there's not much more for me to say except that it does an excellent job of filtering our very hard water.
