This is a fantastic bolster. I ordered it because I was at a retreat center and they used this brand. It is very firm with just enough give and I believe it is filled with buckwheat. It has been great in my yoga practice and I use it as a supportive back rest when sitting on my couch too. No chemical smells whatsoever. I wish I had bought two because they are so handy.

Very comfortable, the right balance between firmness and softness. The carrying handle is a help, although I use the bolster only at home.

It's cotton. It is good quality The cotton was not like packed/shaped. So, when sit on, instead of compression of material straight down, it flattens and bulges out the sides. I dunno, but I had on years ago that could keep a pretty rectangle shape. It was 10 yrs before it bulges outward sideways. I gave 5 stars because I had looked over the competition and the value is there, price vs quality. And it's real cotton.

This extra firm bolster is perfect for those of us who practice yoga asanas in larger bodies. Very comfortable while lending support. Excellent for raising the floor in seated poses or to support upper body in plank, child's pose, and restorative poses.

I ordered this a day ago and it arrived the next day. I was expected to arrive in two weeks, so I was shocked to get it so fast. It is lovely, heavy, solid and well made. I have checked everything over, so it probably is just the smell of where it was stored. There is no mildew smell, just a strong "earthy" odor. No matter, because it is exactly what I wanted and it should be alright after it has time to air out. It is very firm and supportive. I look forward to using it for my Restorative Yoga practice.
