Ticket to Ride: United Kingdom + Pennsylvania

Quality game! The two sides of this dual board game are very different. We love the very unique Pennsylvania game, where you never know who wins until stocks are tallied at the end. Multiple strategies are possible. Can’t say i like the UK game. It’s an exercise in frustration. You have to collect a bunch of locomotive cards to buy a myriad of “technology cards” in order to do anything. Too many steps to make progress. Whoever is lucky with drawing lots of engines will win, and others will be blocked while they are still mired on square one. The game as a whole is worth buying, because Pennsylvania offers satisfying entertainment.

This is a great expansion! Not a standalone game like some of the other expansion sets, but adds some really fun and different strategic variables.

Muy buen juego, el mejor de todos los que he probado (sin contar el Legacy Legends of the west). Ambos mapas presentan mecánicas nuevas e interesantes que le dan un toque muy distinto a las partidas clásicas. Sin lugar adudas UK me gusta más por lo innovador, ir desbloqueando todo lo que en lso demás juegos siempre estuvo desde un inicio, es genial.

We play these boards using just the "original game" rules. Both boards are nice and well laid-out. The Pennsylvania board also includes upstate New York and some cities in other surrounding states. The UK board includes Ireland and a somewhat-bizarre New York City route. The "stock scheme" for the Pennsylvania board seemed unnecessary to us. The UK board is almost all very-short routes that are a bit frustrating to play.

Great game

Note: you must have the original game!! My brother and my sister (sil) introduced us to the original game and while I was extremely hesitant, I’m absolutely addicted and is a must play everytime we’re together so when I saw this, I HAD to get it! It’s all the right things!! You get new destination cards, 2 new boards and a fresh deck of colored. It’s the same game, with a fresh new spin/twist! It’s easy to pick up!! I will say, I think this one is a bit harder then the original, less double track options (making you go the longer routes) and longer routes in general (but worth more points) I’m glad I decided to buy it and recommend it to anyone looking to add to their collection!!

I bought the UK + Pennsylvania extension and it was really worth the money. I like Pennsylvania extension more, which you need to invest in the companies. For the UK extension, you need to develop your technologies so that you can expand to other land. However, there's a card that you can draw 3 cards instead of 2, which makes the game a bit unfair. But really take into account that this is the extension only and you need the "Ticket to Ride" or "Ticket to Ride Europe" to be able to play the game - you don't have the trains / station in the extension.
