One defective, one good; poor customer service
I have to give the product and the supplier both high marks, even though I got off to a rocky start. One of the two warmers in my original order did not work. I initiated a return, printed the labels only to get an email from Amazon saying no return was necessary and I would have a replacement sent, keep the originals. Was a Christmas gift, so certainly disappointed. One warmer flashed red/green when plugged in. Emails and calls never got me to anyone who could speak knowledgeably about the product and nothing even indicated a flashing red/green LED was even possible. I left both to charge as the manual indicated since flashing red/green is not described anywhere. After 4 hours on charge, one worked perfectly, one was just flashing red/green. Does not respond to holding button down. No troubleshooting. Manufacturer info given by Amazon is not really manufacturer. Email to manufacturer listed on box has not been answered. The second two arrived and worked perfectly. There are three settings and even the lowest keeps hands warm at the -7F temps we've had lately. One surface heats and the heating level is still comfortable next to skin. To close, it would have been better if the original set both worked, but mistakes do happen. Amazon's handling and the fact that the second pair work perfectly makes me a happy customer.

DON'T BUY - WASTE OF MONEY!!!!!
Save your money, frustration and hands and just buy the disposable hand warmers for a few bucks! These ones won't last even two hours. One keeps going off and on during those few hours. As much as these things cost, I expected they'd last at least through a round of golf. They didn't make it through the 1st nine holes! The disposable ones last much longer and get much warmer than these, even if these are set on high!

So-So Product
No problem with functionality. The heat production is less than hoped for, even on the high setting it's not much. It's okay if you put it inside mittens, but just okay.

Works well for my usage
Credit card sized and 3/8" thick, these hand warmers provide mild heat for a couple of hours on high. When held on the palm they feel warm but when held against the fingers no heat seems to be detected, however they are gently warming the fingers. Rechargeable battery operated hand warmers give off a gentle heat as compared to fuel driven versions which give off a more intense and higher temperature heat. These hand warmers work well for my situation, 1-1½ hour dog walks in 30-40°F weather. For colder temperatures and/or longer use times probably fuel-based hand warmers would be better suited.

Nice to have when it's cold
No, these aren't going to get super hot, but used in the right circumstances they are great!I bought these primarily because I coach track in the spring, and early in the season it is often cold (around freezing or a little above). It's also difficult to wear gloves many times because you're trying to use phones and stop watches to keep track of what is going on. Throwing these in my jacket pocket gives me a place to warm up my hands.I could use the chemical warmers, but because they are one-time-use I tend to avoid using them except on the coldest days so I don't waste them. Since these are reusable, I can turn them on at the start of practice or a meet and keep my hands comfortable even when the temperature is borderline. Even though they don't throw as much heat as some of the other options, in an enclosed space like a pocket they do make a big difference.I have also tried using them in gloves, and while they're not ideal they do work in a pinch. Being rigid, they're more awkward to fit into gloves so if that's your primary use I'd probably look for something else. I can live with the drawbacks though because it's nice on winter bike rides to be able to turn them on just for the first 10 or 15 minutes until I warm up enough to keep my hands warms without them. That way I don't waste an entire chemical pack for a few minutes of use.Overall, for the circumstances where I use them they are great! They may not be the best option for everyone, but the fact that they are reusable means I will turn them on at times where I wouldn't want to waste a chemical pack and that's a killer feature for me.

Battery power less than stated
My wife and I are avid skiers. We go through a lot of the packet handwarmers that use a chemical reaction to stay warm. So we thought these could replace those and make life in the cold a little easier. They heat up ok, but the battery life is nowhere near their claims. The claim is that the low setting would work for 6 hours. Best we could do new was about 4. Not adequate for our use. Great idea, poorly implemented. Up the battery power about twofold and we will be buyers. Or cut the price about 70% and we might by enough of them to last an average ski day.

Perfect for my needs
I needed something for a couple hours of dog walking or snow blowing or maybe even a bike ride. Six to eight hour chemical packs seemed a waste - when they worked. The size of these (2.9 x 1.6 x 0.5") is a perfect fit for the hand warmer pockets on my gloves. I loved that they were rechargeable with a micro USB port. Temps spec'd (104-122) seem fairly accurate. Pictures are at high setting and low setting. I can wear these inside my gloves next to my skin without them being too hot. I usually have them on high and would consider anything past a couple of hours a bonus. I haven't had them long enough to use them until they're dead but I have had them fail to start after (green light to red light) after attempting to use them a second day without charging. The price seems to jump around (ten more now than when I bought them last week) but when it's right these are a nice solution

Great size and Quality Pocket Warmer.
I purchased this from Amazon warehouse at a Great price. These warmers are the perfect size as they are slim and not bulky. The only issue I have is the power button is just a little bit high. I have turned mine up just by putting my hand in my pocket. Easy fix, just turn the warmer 180 degrees so the power button is not in your way. I will get another one if I can get it on sale. These are good warmers and should last a long time. Just make sure you Fully charge it before the first use.
