Worked in seconds!
Soo tired of always paying the 15$ extra to rent a modem so I bout a netgear modem/router combo! When I called century link to activate my account they told me I needed a dsl modem! Ughhh I drove around the whole of Iowa & I couldn’t find any centurylink modems in store so I ordered this hoping it’d work & literally as soon as I plugged it up. I don’t need to do anything else it was up & running. I’m so happy. Now I just have to worry about returning the first modem I bought

easy to install
I plugged it in, went and looked and there it was in modem choices. Put in the password, and off I went. Easy install. It takes a few minutes to get to the internet when you first install it. The DSL light blinks a lot, just wait it will become solid.

Boosted my WiFi signal a lot.
My WiFi signal was in and out until I received my new set up and now there are no problems.

Getting the job done.
I lost my previous DSL modem due to a nearby lightning strike. It would have taken CenturyLink more than a week to replace it. Since I work from home these days, that is obviously unacceptable. I did not realize that these DSL modems were available online independently from the carrier. This "refurbished" unit was at my house, plugged in and operational from Amazon 36 hours after the offending lightning storm. Amazing. Clearly it is used and a little shopworn, but it was clean, all the accessories were included and the unit is functioning well right now as this review passes through it.

Works great
This was a replacement for same model dsl modem/router which got fried by a lightning strike. Works great! Easy setup.

Worked great for Windstream
This worked great. Just had to change the PPPoe info and worked like a charm for windstream. A lot cheaper than $10 month when I don’t have any other service options.
