The valve was of good quality and the plumber commented on it. So far all good.

Pressure relief on hot water system. The last like this lasted over twenty years but is now leaking slightly. Good service life

I was experiencing strong pressure oscillations under changes in flow. I bought this device hoping to stamp out the oscillation. It kind of helped but it streams water continuously out the bypass. This is not “California Friendly”. Reading the instruction manual carefully, it does exactly what it is supposed to. I returned the device and bought piston pulsation dampener.

Used for a coolant bypass on my 04 cummins. Wish they were cheaper but works great. So far so good.

Contains lead. Apparently not allowed for plumbing applications in California. Other than that, it's adjustable.

Used to replace a 75lb pressure relief valve installed by Ryland Homes, on a county water line, that a county employee told me gets up to 100 PSI. Every other time I ran the Rainbird system, the old valve on the main from the street would open and not shut. If I was away the water ran out into the street. You would think a neighbor might come over and shut it off, it is outside on the house, or ring the bell. I got a $580.00 water bill one month. Tampa, Hillsborough County, FL. Moreover, the old valve would not close again, until you shut the main off and turned it back on. This one I set at 105 PSI and it has not opened once. I think I might turn it lower, until it does open and see if it closes on its own, once excess pressure is released by it. I have not done that yet.

Extremely fast shipping. Played with pressure adjustment. Markings may not line up exactly with actual pressure needed to open the valve but it's close enough. I can finally rest at ease because I was able to easily adjust it to the range I need.

Accurate enough and good quality

minor negitive issues no visual indicator if open or closed and you need a pair of plyers to turn and adjust the presssure setting. Also would have been better if the outlet was also 3/4" NPT male the same as the inlet. Minor thing you just have to add and adapter. Then you can just attach flexible hoses for easier replacement or repair. On a positive note the relief valve works great. Set at the lowest setting (50 psi) works great in my house's hot water recirculating system with pex plumbing. I would recommned it.

Arrived with a visible crack inside the cut pipe thread at point of manufacture. Currently waiting its replacement.
