Weleda Calendula Baby Shampoo and Body Wash

I have bought this product 4–5 times already because it’s the best for my daughter . It has a light, natural scent and makes her skin and hair soft and clean. I love that it has calendula and gentle ingredients, perfect for sensitive skin. No irritation, easy to use, and I feel safe using it every day. Highly recommend to other parents!

Based on my experience this shampoo/body wash is a great choice for parents looking for a gentle product for their little ones. Instead of typical shampoo-bottle it comes in a plastic tube, rather suitable for some cream, for example. Though, the design is both practical and travel-friendly, ensuring less mess when dispensing. The formula features calendula, known for its soothing properties, and sweet almond oil, which leaves the skin moisturized and soft. One of the most important qualities is its gentle cleansing action, which doesn’t irritate the skin or eyes—a major plus for kids of any age. Talking about my, or rather my son's experience with this: we have noticed a slight improvement in skin and hair conditions after using this product. Son's skin feels soft to the touch, and his hair is easy to manage. The fragrance is both pleasant, and not overpowering. So! This product is reliable and healthy, and what else? I value and gentle, natural care products myself, and, of course, wish the same for my son. That's why, Weleda Baby Calendula is definitely worth trying. It's an excellent all-in-one solution for bath time, blending convenience with effective, gentle care.

For the first two years of my little girl's life I used Johnson & Johnson's baby wash products for bathing. She had a bit of eczema at one point but it cleared up with cream. No big deal. But eventually I noticed she was getting those icky bumps on the back of her arms known as K.P. (keratosis pilaris) that run in my husband's family. But hers were just awful and they got worse and worse after every bath. I know they make some products to treat it but I was worried about using them on my baby so I decided to start by switching her bath products to something less drying. The first ingredient I was avoiding was SLS. As it happened I'd recently tried another Weleda product and happened to spot this when I was reading something else on their website. I decided to give the Calendula Shampoo and Body Wash a try after reading the ingredients. Within a week of switching her bumpy arms showed improvement. I actually cried while giving her her bath one night there was such an improvement. I'd thought it wasn't going to improve without more severe medical treatment and the scarring I've seen from family members scratching the bothersome bumps was a constant worry. Not only does it smell great--it reminds me of lavender--and get her clean without over drying her sensitive skin, it's a decent shampoo for her too. It doesn't bother her eyes, though we're good at keeping it out of them. It leaves her curls so soft and bouncy, not tangled and dried out like other products did. I cannot recommend this product enough for parents who want a more eco-friendly and gentle option for their babies and toddlers. I'd use it for myself it smells so great!

Actually gentle on the eyes and smells amazing. I tried it on myself and, although it was uncomfortable to have soap in my eyes, it does not sting like some of the other "tear free" baby shampoos.

Since my baby was born I was using the Mustela brand (which is also very good) I decided to change to this product because my baby had a small allergy on the skin and it would not go away and I decided to change the bath gel to see if it improved, I was looking at many options and I decided on this product because of its natural ingredients it incredibly improved a lot in less than a week, its skin is very soft, for me this product is spectacular

I have to admit, I don't wash our children's hair (or mine) with any regularity. Ours are 2 and 4 and all I have ever done is oil their heads with coconut oil and use a comb to scrape off the cradle cap. I then rinse in the tub with warm water (no tub toys for this part or they'll get yucky). This works amazing! They can sit in a chair and watch a show while I do the oil and I only need to do it twice a year or so. And, no, their heads don't smell and their hair is beautiful. My son likes to keep his hair long so it's just now gotten to the point where when I do the oil scrub and plain water rinse it's pretty noticeable that his hair is still oily for a week or so. I'm not trying to advertise my weird hippie ways in a way that makes my kids look "dirty" to others so, that brings me to this shampoo. Two lathers and rinses and no oil! It smells wonderful, and leaves hardly any scent once it is rinsed out. This has a pretty short ingredient list, none of the super bad chemicals and is from a company that I trust, and since it works so well I'm thrilled. We can continue to wash our hair once a year and no one will ever be the wiser;) I should also mention that my daughter has extremely sensitive skin, which is not normally a problem for us as we don't use any products on ourselves (only coconut oil and ACV, and nutribiotic coconut oil soap when needed). It's only when we have traveled and traditional soaps or lotions have been used that she gets eczema. And it can be terrible.....the only baby wipe she can tolerate are 7th gen which I still have to wipe off after using with a wet towel. This shampoo has caused her NO problems whatsoever so I recommend to parents try if their children have similar skin sensitivities.

The smell is great. It cleans very well but leaves the hair kind of rough. Will go back to the cetaphil one

I love this shampoo. I have used it for all three of my kiddos. It seems to be very gentle, does a nice job of cleaning, is easy to wash off, and has a nice scent. I have even used it on my own hair when I was in search of a chemical free option. I recommend this to all of the new moms that I meet.
