I bought this and received it at the end of November. Beginning of February is starts to malfunction. It has no obvious signs of defect so it must be an issue with the wire connections. I loved that the cable was longer, but the fact that was braided made it stained easily. The head also didn't fit well into my case.My big issue is that I sent a claim request with all the info required, even copied my email confirmation from registration. A week passed with no response so I sent a message to them where it says they typically respond within 24 hours simply asking if they received my claim or if I should resend it. Again, no response. I specifically bought this one based on the reviews and warranty. Not a big fan of spending $14 for a cord that didn't even make 90 days. And after having cords for so long, I know how important it is to always always always disconnect it by the head, not the cord.

If you are buying this cable because of the "lifetime warranty," I would suggest you look elsewhere.This is the third cord I have bought from Luxtr and all have failed within two months of using it. I figured it wasn't a big deal since I have the warranty. They replaced the first one but have since stopped responding. Originally they had me make a claim by messaging them on Facebook which was already odd. Since then I see they no longer have a Facebook page. Making a claim on their site simply returns a generic "Thank You" with no actual response.If you're looking for a cord that will last only two months this might be for you. If you are hoping to have the warranty honored, you may want to look elsewhere. It has now been two weeks and have not even received confirmation that my claim was received.

The webpage for the Luxtr cables on Amazon is misleading. There are two separate cables listed on the same page. At first glance it appears that the cables (in 6 colors) are all identical, but there are the normal cables (white & black) with a smooth sheathing, and the cables that come in different colors which have a braided sheathing. I purchased the white cable for the Lifeproof Fre case (iPhone 6) several months ago because it is one of the few that will reportedly fit that case, and it did fit perfectly. However, a reorder of what I thought was the same Luxtr cable, just in a different color, showed that the casing around the connector was thicker and would not fit the Lifeproof case. I sent two separate emails to Luxtr and received no response. So much for the bogus "personal" email you receive after purchasing their cables from the owner himself promising "Please know that I'm here for you if you need anything at all, and I genuinely want to make sure you're totally satisfied with this investment". Yeah, sure. This one is going back...

I bought this in white and then thought I needed a color to differentiate my cord in a large household. However when this pretty pink cord arrived, it wasn't the same size as the white one and won't dint through my iPhone case to reach my iPhone. The white one has the slimmer lighting head that fits through my charger. Now I'm stuck with a cord I can't use and I'm back to trying to keep my cord from being removed from the charging area I have it in.

Its a nice long and thick cable, but it doesn't fit into a lifeproof case as was my intention in buying it. I'm sure I can still find a use for it with work phones, but I'm a little bummed its not small enough to fit through the port in my lifeproof case. Its proving to be a huge struggle to find a decent nylon braided cord that will fit in the port in my lifeproof case.

THIS CORD JUST CAUGHT FIRE! I had it charging my iPad on the table next to me when I smelled something burning. I looked over and it was sparking and smoldering. Fortunately I could unplug and disconnect it before anything around it burned. My grandchildren were using it for their iPods all weekend and I usually leave my devices plugged in at night . We were just very lucky this didn't happen then. It was purchased in Dec., 2015 and was not misused.

I was looking for a second cable for my iphone 6 that works with the lifeproof cases... this one fits! The color is really nice, too. It feels a lot more sturdy around the wire to end connection points than the apple cable. I've only had it a few days but so far it's pretty wonderful. I'm also a big fan of the color; it's a nice pretty color and the cable is kind of a clear.

I received my cables very quickly and they look great. I got a rose gold and the darker gray. I haven't had them long enough to know how well they will hold up. My husband actually had to grind down part of the end of the charging cable because it wouldn't fit into the charging port of my X-Doria Defense case but fits perfectly now.
