I'm spending like an hour peeling plastic off this campfire, definitely need someone to help you if you're arthritic or have motor issues. This product seems relatively sturdy, if a bit flimsy on the metal siding but looks easy to repair and folds away very nicely. Everything fit wonderfully and set up is very easy, could probably do it intoxicated if required. Overall, happy with the price, purchase and size, lightweight and portable but if you're planning to use this for backpacking grab the smaller size! Otherwise the larger one is great for beach activities. The bag it comes in isn't high quality canvas but it appears durable enough to last a good long while a long as you aren't tearing it up!

It does not come with instructions. However, the ad shows how it's put together so there's the instructions. I have the larger size. I put it together and it's sturdy. Big enough to grill or just make a pit fire. It is easily disassembled and returned to it's carrying pouch. The pouch is an added benefit. My only dislike was the blue coating on it to protect the metal. Seems easy enough to remove but it was a bit of a pain to get off the hinges. I respect that they did that to protect it though. I recommend for portable campfire/pit grill!

We took this camping recently and in an area where ground campfires aren't welcome, this was an extremely portable, well built option. Cooking on it was a breeze with the included grate and cleaning was a simple sweep out and disposal of the ashes. I can't give a full 5 stars however, as the grille itself did not last a single cook session. One of the metal cross pieces broke on the first cook of heating up precooked hot dogs of all things.

The hardest part is peeling off the blue stuff, but once that is done, this is a GREAT piece of equipment to have for outdoor fun. Lightweight, easy to carry, does exactly what it says, exactly as it says, and makes for safe and relaxing ambiance, especially if you put a fire blanket underneath it! I actually bought 2 sizes because I was so impressed.

First the least significant issue, the dimensions. The dimensions are slightly misleading as it pertains to the base. The important dimension is the top, where you load the firewood. The top measures at 16.25" square. This is a very cheaply made product. The same thin steel gauge you get from a tiny portable wood cooking stove. You will spend a full tedious hour trying to remove the blue protective plastic film that has been penetrated into the bend and crimps of the design. Causing a guarantee that you will be burning plastic upon first or second use. If you're young and/or patient, this is doable. However, if you are old and arthritic, look elsewhere or plan to enlist a younger family member or friend. The base is made of cheap steel rods that appear to be plated stainless steel. Don't plan on this part lastly longer than a few years after regular use. The grill is a joke. Don't plan on cooking round items, such as hotdogs, on it or it will either roll off either side or towards the middle if the grate is heavily utilized with food on it. Stick to a couple of long rods you can place over it and a cooktop of your own choice. I got this for $35 and only a few days later, it went up to $48. Honestly, not bad for the wallet but it isn't a buy-once-and-cry-once item. It will wear out quick. I'd say two years tops. We will see. Design is poor. Nothing opens up and stays square-ish. As a result, nothing sits right. The top firepit portion does not sit properly on the base. The ash tray sits off kilter as nothing is square and same goes with the ash grate. Lastly the cooking grate sits oddly like a poorly pitched rooftop with small gauge rods hovering too high from the coals. Try not to cook with flames if fat is dripping into the flames as that introduces fat-soot to your meats which is not recommended for consumption. If it's just to burn wood for an adventure or two per year, this might be worth the purchase. Just remember the work you need to put in to removing that plastic film. Not fun but only needed to perform at first.

I've used this for five campfires now, one time to cook. It's nice to be able to be real close to your fire. I like that there are vents to allow air to feed from below. It packs flat and light. The cooking grill seems to be at a good height for cooking. One drawback is that purchased firewood is too long to sit in the grill. I bought the 12" X 12" grill. The 17" X 17" grill may allow for purchased wood to be down in the grill. Your logs have lay on the top edges and straddle the coals below. I found that splitting the wood into thin pieces was the best way to go. The wood will burn in the middle and cut itself in half, then fall into the grill. It was easy to wipe clean. It stores into a small, flat pouch.

I was slightly sceptical as to the effect of this fire because it has a relatively light construction. However, it is sturdy and well designed to take medium sized logs. The fire burns well and is well ventilated. It does drop ash through the various air holes, so a fire retardant mat or similar under the fire pit will protect the ground underneath or just catch the ash. I can easily see this fire pit being used at home as well as whilst camping.

10/10 for this foldable fire pit..size is very compact(almost the size of ipad pro) so u can carry it with your camping gear..build quality is good and its sturdy.deploying and packing away is very quick. Easy to use and not heavy; lack of toughness in the materials used makes me hope it survives one outdoor season..

Yo lo utilizo de fogataro mediano y me ha resultado muy satisfactoria, aún muchos lugares que no dejar hacer fogatas en el piso y esta es una solución. fácil de armar aunque un poco pesado por la base, la parrilla no la utilizo por que se ve un poco inestable.
