Perfect Reliability
+ Extremely secure wire attachment system, the set I bought over 5 years ago still has a perfect and secure connection, you never need to worry about these ever coming loose. + Easy to wire up and even comes with a sweet little matching screwdriver. + Thin profile. + Perfect and reliable connection to a wide range of cables; I've used them with high-quality 12G copper wire and low-quality 16G CCA wire with excellent results. + High quality copper core with thick gold plating means excellent conductivity. + Looks cool and is very easy to handle, very easy to grip. + New design has brighter and easier to read polarity markings. - Would be nice if they came with a few spare screws. - The quality of the core and screws of the current design is slightly inferior to those from 5 years ago. The quality is still excellent, however. - It would make sense to me if these were sold in 10-pair and 14-pair packs for 5-speaker and 7-speaker setups, respectively. I bought a set of these over 5 years ago and have been so happy with them I bought the same model again when I needed more. These banana plugs take a little more work to install than some of the tool-free plugs, but having a permanent, reliable connection to your speakers that will last a lifetime is more than worth the extra time and monetary investment. I have these terminating KnuKonceptz 12G Kord Kable and highly recommend this combo if you want audiophile-grade cables at an excellent price.

Well-Designed Banana Plugs — Easy to Install, Solid Connection
These Sewell Silverback banana plugs have worked great so far. They were easy to terminate and felt secure once installed, which is exactly what you want when wiring speaker connections. My original order had some missing parts, but the seller quickly resolved the issue—excellent customer service on that front. One tip for anyone installing these: twist your speaker wire and insert it in a “U” or hook shape, wrapping the wire slightly around the set screw. This allows the set screw to clamp down more securely on the wire, reducing the chance of it pulling out and improving electrical contact. It’s a simple step that really enhances the reliability of the connection. Overall, these plugs are well-made, affordable, and easy to work with. I’d happily recommend them to anyone looking for a clean and reliable speaker termination.

First stop for banana plugs
Sewell Direct SW-29751-6 Silverback Banana Plugs So by first stop, I don't mean this is the first type I've purchased. These will now be my go-to for banana plugs. Prior to this, I bought cheap little single screw types wth red and black plastic sleeves, and these are worlds better and worth the price. First, the main piece. Assembly is self-explanatory (or at least should be), but for those who have wondered, the screw closest to the tip is really the one that makes the electrical contact. The one at the back can act as a little bit of a relief as it holds the jacket. If your wire gauge is too small, first get yourself a larger cable (I'm using 14AWG). If that can't happen, you can easily insert any scrap rubber or jacketing into the assembly at the back to effectively make your wire at the back. I especially like this plug as the tip doesn't have a part that spins or slides around the shaft. This tip is effectively one piece of metal, which means great contact. Now the casing. This is where I am really pained to dock one star. The casing is not really a part of the plug, just a shell to color code and provide something large to pull on to unplug. This has a benefit, and that is once you've screwed on the plug, you can then attach the casing. In Pro Audio, the casing goes on before the plug, and if you screw that part up (terminate before putting on the casing or use the wrong one), you have to start all over. With these, you could swap colors to your heart's content, so keep track of your polarity. This feature/approach also has a downside. The insert that is at the front of the casing has the threads which screw to the plug. This insert is only glued to the casing. One of the 12 plugs (6 pairs) I received was already "broken", with the insert being seperate from the plug. The fix however, is easy-- superglue!. This does mean that the force you use to unplug this cable is being exerted directly at this glued point of contact. However, this does not even cause me to flinch towards ditching this product. The fix is too easy and really won't impact me. Pros: - Looks Nice - Crazy solid connection of the plug to the wire - Can swap the plug casing colors without full disassembly - Tip does not have a free spinning/sliding portion (don't worry if this is gibberish to you) Cons: - Metallic casing (watch out not to short your plugs!) - Casing can detach from threaded insert, if defective or forced Overall, I would get these again in a heartbeat. ----------------------------------------- Yamaha RX-775wa 2x Klipsch RF-82 II 14AWG copper stage speaker cable 46" Samsung with 9' seating distance :) Sony Blu-Ray Player

The gold standard of banana plugs.
These were a good snug fit in my speaker jack and the 14 gauge OFC speaker wire fit very firmly into the jacks. The two set screws got a very nice grab on the wire. I have no doubt I have the best possible connection between the stereo and the speakers.

strong, good quality banana style speaker connectors
The product comes in a nice cardboard box; the connectors are set into a clear plastic vacuform insert. It’s a nice presentation and also protects the connectors from shipping and storage damage. The set also includes a small bladed screwdriver. Because I was installing these connectors onto thick Audioquest Indigo 2 speaker cable (four solid copper, approximately 22 gauge, strands per channel), this screwdriver could not provide enough torque to screw down the attachment screws. Perhaps with smaller wire, the screwdriver would work. Unlike other bananas, in order to separate the inner connector from the outer cylinder, it is unscrewed clockwise. And instead of sliding the outer cylinder onto the wire first, it is not screwed on until after the inner connector is attached to the wire end. The two set screws first need to be unscrewed; then the bare ends of the speaker wires are inserted. The set screws are then screwed down flush with the side of the inner connector. It required a lot of force with a large-handle screwdriver with this Audioquest wire. The resulting attachment seems solid and secure. They insert snugly into the amplifier’s 5-way binding posts. These Sewell connectors appear to be strong, well made and a fair value; they should provide solid electrical continuity for many years.

Well made, worth the price
I bought these because I was impressed by the quality of HDMI cables I'd bought from this brand. I wasn't disappointed in the quality or the brand. To reiterate what others have said; the build quality, design and packaging are great. I also love the way the positve/negative (black/red) are clearly visible even in the dark confines at the back of a stereo cabinet. The included screw driver is almost a must have since the screws are so tiny and may require enough force that a lesser tool might bend or damage the slot head. I used 14GA pure copper wire and that is definitely the limit for size. I did solder the very tip of the stripped wires which didn't make life any easier. I had to back out and re-tighten in a different order to get some of the screws to sit flush enough for the banana end plug to thread back on. Using the harder copper clad aluminum 14GA wire could be a problem. The bad, mentioned by others, some of the screws were loose in the packaging (not installed in the plug). They are a PITA to get the threads started as they are so small. Most I found laying in the tray but one must have been inside the barrel of the plug. I didn't notice it was missing until I tried to tighten it. Fortunately I was able to find it on my table. Have a clear well lit working area when you go to install these. Sewell would do well to include a couple of extra screws along with the screw driver.

Well made and easy to use
Well made and easy to use. The two screws that lock the wire to the plug are very secure. I suggest working over something that will catch a screw if you accidentally back it out all the way and it falls. The small screw driver that comes with the plugs works but is not high quality, it can't be at price of the banana plugs. Suggest you get a high quality set of small screw drivers with rotating caps, they'll be useful for other things. I like Wiha screw drivers. Don't go cheap on the screw drivers, you might as well use the screw driver that comes with the plugs.

Me siento estafado. Recomendado solo para quienes tirar su dinero.
