No more seepage.
After replacing a couple of hoses with no success I decided to replace this part. Installation done, leak gone. Pull up a you tube video to watch for installation tips.

Genuine
I purchased this to replace a third Dorman version of the same part. All the Dorman versions failed the same way, by disintegrating at the arched tube. The OEM that came with the car lasted seven years and only failed by cracking at the seam allowing me to at least make it home, so I expect similar longevity from this part. The Dormans all only lasted two years max! This part is genuine, high quality and worth the few extra dollars and extra shipping wait vs the knockoffs.

Right part at right price
Outstanding! Great price on this part that worked perfectly. I was able to remove all the hoses using a small channel-lock pliers but it was not fun. I definitely agree that you should get the hose clamp pliers. My old part cracked right at the joint where the large radiator hose nub meets the unit. A weep turned to a leak. This was a fairly easy switch. I did take the air intake hose loose so I could see the heater hose that goes on the rear. I also replaced two of the clamps that were nearly impossible to get back on without the right pliers. I went to a normal stainless clamp as they are much easier to install. Don't forget to get some new antifreeze as well. You will waste half a gallon or more. I should have drained the radiator down half way before I started. Anyway, great part at great price and it was here in 2 days with free prime shipping. Happy customer.

OEM the way to go
Look it's plastic it's cheap . Blame Chevy for building such a cheap car. Worst car ever. I was considering the aluminum aftermarket. After reading reviews. It's has the same problem as OEM . The bleeder valve leaks. That's why I went with oem

No leaks vs skp
bought the cheaper skp water housing from the rock and it leaked from the start. This gm one was good no leaks. The parts looked the same. Removed the gasket and applied some o-lube (both times) and torqued to spec. 6mths and a few k miles still good no leaks. Now the cheap oil cooler gaskets are another story...

Better buy thru Amazon
Purchased for my wife car. Arrived and installed with no issues.
On the original part on my engine, the pipe that the large hose connects to had developed a hair line crack along the seem of the where the two halves of the mold come together to make the part. Under heat and pressure coolant would fizz and bubble out of this almost invisible crack. I bought this part and the ABN Flexible Hose Clamp Pliers from Amazon as well. Those hose pliers or ones like them were critical in getting into tight spaces to get the hose clamps off and thus the hoses so I could swap out the part with this new coolant water outlet. After swapping out the part I washed down the engine with a hose (make sure your engine is not too hot or you run the risk of cracking it) to wash away all the coolant so it no longer smelled and so I could determine after the next couple of days whether I had any other leaks and I did not. The hose outlet pointing straight up comes with a connector that goes into the hose that goes to the coolant overflow tank, I left the old one on because it seemed find and did not want to run the chance of running the hose as it seemed to be on the connector pretty good. I just saved the new connector in case I might need it in the future.
