This seems to work surprisingly well. I say "surprisingly" because I really didn't expect it to work at all for our ADHD son. The effect is more subtle, but far better, than the zombie like effects and severe mood swings from his doctor prescribed Ritalin (Quillivant XR). We give him this plus a multivitamin daily and the improvement is obvious to both us and his teacher. We had researched and found that many people with ADD/ADHD have benefitted from taking a DMAE supplement. For our son, this has been the case. It certainly seems to help him calm down and focus on the tasks at hand. Thank you Nature's Plus

My daughter is so much calmer, more cooperative and able to focus when she takes this. She sees a top neurologist for epilepsy and he has approved this and I highly recommend it. She got her first case of the giggles the first week I started these and that really sold me. I can always tell by her behavior on days I forget to give her one.

My five yr old child takes two of these every morning, and it has really extended his attention span and improved mental functioning. Plus the taste must not be that bad, because my child chews them willingly. My child had been borderline autistic and adhd but the following has helped him improve to the extent that he is now functioning normally in a regular school: 1) prayers to Jesus 2) Super Nu Thera liquid from Kirkman Labs (tastes bad but mix it with apple juice) 3) Pedi-active chewables. Hang in there, cause miracles do happen!

Good product

Nature's Plus has recently changed the formula on this product. The new product has maltodextrin, which makes my child act crazy. Additionally, the new flavor is horrible. I have to make my child take them now, where before, she took them happily. As usual, "new and improved" is not better.

I tried AttentiveChild on my 4yo a few months ago. His behavior improve DRAMATICALLY but he had real stomach issues with is. I think the Magnesium was causing the discomfort and accidents. So I researched for a similar chewable with same ingredients minus the magnesium and found Pedi-Active. We started off with just one chewable in the AM and I also added topical magnesium (not oral). I saw small differences. Then we increased to two chewables in AM and I saw larger differences. I know some reviewers got up to 8 tablets per day. I am tempted to do so, but I am taking it slowly. I told my DS neurologist about this and said I think his ADHD is improving slightly. so he suggested that we add Vayarin (a RX version of this). So Vayarin is the only FDA approved ADHD 'supplement / medical food'. So I am not removing pedi-active, but we did add Vayarin and see even more results. So if Pedi-active is working for you, keep going. If you are interested in some tested, FDA approved version, check out Vayarin. We will do both for a while.

My 6 year old is taking 8 a day for his ADHD. He was having a lot of trouble in school because he couldn't focus. These have made a HUGE difference! He's doing much better in school and with his behavior. He would get very worked up and get to the point of being angry from frustration. Now he's much more relaxed. It did not change him. Just helped him calm down. We also Do fish oil. Hope this helps anyone looking for some help with their child.

The first time I purchased this item was from my local Nutrition store to help find some relief in my 8 yr olds over hyper activity, so I decided to purchase it on Amazon next because I could get a bigger bottle for quite a bit less $. My son has been taking these for about 2 months now, and I am really starting to see a difference in his over hyper activity. I am hoping that if we continue with this throughout the summer that it will help A Lot more once school starts back up. His teachers at school wanted him tested for ADHD and I will not have my child medicated by a doctor, I would rather go the Natural Route before having him medicated. I will update again after another month of him taking this to see if it is making a bigger difference in him. I purchased this at full price because I wanted a bigger bottle that I was getting locally.
