Orchid Purple, semi permanent hair dye purple - 118 ml - Lunar Tides

I’m not into dyeing my own hair…I usually let the hairdresser do it I put this on, for not even 5 mins, so it didn’t necessarily make my hair purple…but it did darken it a bit

Lovely colour but unfortunately doesn’t show up on my light brown hair, I tried to pair it with the fuchsia pink dye to create an ombré effect but only the pink showed up. Disappointed since this dye is supposed to work on blonde-light brown hair.

Fades after two washes into a blue

This stuff blew my mind. I’ve used so many brands of semi permanent color and this one washed out completely clear! How??? No purple running in the shower it was mind blowing. The orchid purple appeared super bright in the jar. I have dark hair but my previous purple washed out and I had some slightly bleached highlights I wanted to turn purple again. I did a spot test on a small piece and left it in for 30 min. It was a much deeper purple than I expected and not bright at all. So I went for it and covered my head, opting to keep it in for an hour since it wasn’t touching my scalp and I wanted it to be deeper color than the test spot. Unless it fades super fast, I can’t imagine anything being better than this! It had no bad smell at all, and yes- there were purple dye marks on the towel I was resting my hair clips on while I added dye to sections of my hair carefully, but no kidding, once I washed it out ZERO color leakage. Where did it go??? The dye is thick so it’s best applied with a coloring brush in sections. I had to rinse really good because I couldn’t tell if it was still in my hair since all the water was running clear!!! Incredible sorcery. Truly magical.

Le produit n'est pas aussi vibrant que sur l'image n'est pas très efficace et "blanchit" quand je le frotte sur les cheveux, mais j'ai pu le mélanger sans soucis avec le dark violet.

I usually use Arctic Fox or Ion dye, but unfortunately Sally’s hasn’t had hardly anything in stock lately and amazon didn’t have the color of Arctic Fox that I wanted, so I got impatient & thought I would try this Lunar Tides. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY. Read the other reviews and listen to them unlike I did. As soon as I saw this jar of dye I could tell that it was not as good quality as other dyes that I have used. I ordered the iris color & it was a darker purple than I expected (it was supposed to be pastel) however the color was also translucent rather than opaque, which I thought was a bit odd. I tried to return it, but apparently if the sell is through a third party seller than you have to pay for your own shipping. In this case the shipping was more than the product, so there was no point in returning it. I’ve learned my lesson never to buy through a third party seller again. Amazon is not trustworthy enough to buy things that I can’t return. So I did end up trying this dye. The best way I can describe it is that the texture seemed more watery then creamy like other direct dyes. So when you apply the dye it pretty much disappears in your hair. Basically the color looks dark in the jar but is very light once it’s applied, so it really doesn’t dye your hair. I’m not sure what they make it out of, but it’s very low quality.
