Great for Hair Growth, But the Scent Is Strong
I really enjoyed using this hair oil and found it to be very nourishing for my hair. My hair felt healthier, softer, and seemed to grow much faster while using it regularly. I was very happy with the results and plan to continue using it. One thing to be aware of is the scent. It has a very natural, fresh herbal smell that I personally found refreshing, but it is definitely strong and may be too much for some people. The fragrance can linger, and others around you may notice it right away. Because of the scent, I would recommend using it on weekends, overnight, or when you don't have to be around a lot of people. While I didn't mind the aroma at all, some people may find it a bit pungent. Overall, this is an excellent hair oil that delivers great results. If you're looking for a nourishing treatment that promotes healthy-looking hair growth and don't mind a strong herbal scent, I highly recommend it.

Love this stuff...
This product will not stop hair loss although it may say so. This just conditions your hair to be more elastic and smooth. Lessen the breakage of hair...it also makes hair appear slightly darker in colour. Who knows why hair falls out. Hereditary issues, vitamin deficiency, hormones and my favourite !!!STRESS!!!. Im indo guyanese with wavy frizzy hair naturally. This works to tame my hair...you oil the hair thoroughly top to bottom. Leave on 1hr to overnight. I leave for 3-4hrs and wash my scalp well with a really cleansing shampoo and condition as usual. I noticed people complaining about the scent. Its a medicinal oil smell, indian gooseberries...i dont think its that bad...for me it works. I havent cut or trimmed my hair in over 2 years and it doesnt have split ends or looks dried out. I think for anything to work you need consistency.... I wash and oil my hair 2x a week in the summer/ sweaty months and 1x a week in the colder months. If anyones interested in other indian hair oils... Ill break them down for you Vakita Cactus oil smells amazing and it heavy weight its meant to be used before shampooing. But you can use a few drops on dry hair to tame. Vatika Black seed oil smells great and can used as a leave in after your hair is dry to tame frizzies Vatika Garlic oil smells sooo good like lemon and rosemary , heavy weighted and can be used before shampooing. And after a few drops on dry to fight the frizzies. Mahabhringraj hair oil is a medicinal oil you use only on the scalp to help with dandruff. You must wash it out. Navratna oil is for cooling and tingling of the scalp..meant to help with waking up the scalp. Must be washed out. Ive used all these oils and they all have their benefits. You can mix them as you like. I use mahabhringraj oil on my scalp for dandruff and the rest of the hair gets amla, garlic, cactus depending on my mood... Im going to tell you the best indian hair advice I know to growing out your hair....oil it faithfully & always keep your hair secured ...like in a bun with spiral bobby pins or an octopus clip or a braid with no tangle bands. It shouldnt be too tight, but firm. Its keeps hair from snarling and breaking. I know its not superstylish but it really does save your hair especially if your going to grow it out to your mid back or to a longer length and beyond . And when you do wear it out on occasion all the girls and boys will envy your soft gorgeous long hair... Ps in the pic my hair is oiled and awaiting its shampooing plus i like this pose reminds me of a troll doll.

It’s a good hair oil. I did a big chop and it grew my hair out a lot. It doesn’t smelly very bad at first but after some days it does begin to smell like 💩.

good
I've been very happy with this hair oil. It applies easily, has a pleasant herbal scent, and leaves my hair feeling soft, smooth, and well-nourished without feeling overly greasy when used before washing. With regular use, my hair looks shinier, feels healthier, and is much easier to manage. I like using it as a deep conditioning treatment because it helps reduce dryness and leaves my hair feeling moisturized from root to tip. The large 500 ml bottle lasts a long time, making it an excellent value for the price. Overall, this is a great-quality hair oil that keeps my hair looking healthy and well cared for, and I would definitely buy it again.

Be careful using this product!
Just like everyone that thought this oil would make your hair grow, so did I. Unfortunately, that wasn’t the case for me. After about 2-3weeks of using this product, I began to see bald spots on my head (see pics). I immediately stopped using the oil and went back to my natural options (raw coconut oil, “Now” and Shea oil). The bald spots started off as small as a penny, then eventually kept growing with time. Since the bald spots kept growing weeks after I stopped the use of this product, I started feeling depressed thinking I had Alopecia (a disease that eats at your hair). My bald spots often became very dry/flaky, forcing me to moisturize it at least twice/day. I recently went to Swedish hospital and my doctor told me that I in fact do not have Alopecia which was a huge relief. The doctor told me that I have a fungus and provided me medication. I am hoping and praying that my hair will one day grow back thick and strong as it used to be. I have not stepped a foot outside without a hat on my head since the first time I spotted my bald spots in early May. 😭😭. I wish I would have stuck with my natural products instead of using this damn oil with all these damn chemicals/dyes! I will post pics of the beginning stage and now. There’s about 4-5 bald spots/damaged areas on my head. #Holisticlife!

Bad smell
The oil has a horrible smell. The oil works good but not to have to smell like this.

Leaves My Hair Soft, Shiny, and Well Nourished
Dabur Amla Hair Oil has been a wonderful addition to my hair-care routine. The oil feels rich and nourishing, and it helps my hair feel softer, smoother, and more manageable. I enjoy using it on my scalp and throughout the length of my hair as a pre-shampoo treatment or for added moisture. A little goes a long way, and my hair looks healthier and feels well conditioned after use. The herbal blend with amla and botanical extracts makes this a great option for anyone looking to support stronger, shinier, and more nourished hair. I have been pleased with the results and would purchase it again.

Product quality
I like the fact the product works. I was able to mix it up with other products. It has a strong smell, so if you are sensitive to that, I suggest you to mix it up with something else to tone it down. After washing it off, there's no smell at all on your hair. I almost empty my bottle in just 3 months, I'll buy more.
