Colorful, Joyful, and Full of Heart
“This is such a fun and beautifully illustrated book for teaching shapes through everyday life and culture. The rhymes flow nicely, the art pops with color, and it’s packed with warmth and personality. My kid loves spotting familiar things like tortillas, sombreros, and maracas while learning about circles, triangles, and squares. It’s educational, inclusive, and just plain joyful — a shape book with soul.” — Praying to the car gods

Great book for little learners
We love these books! Our daughter really loves the illustrations and frequently requests Round is a Tortilla or Green is a Chile Pepper as one of her bedtime books. The illustrations really are lovely. Even though this is not the bilingual version it’s still really worth having. I hope there will be more in this series.

Great for teaching shapes
I read this book aloud with preschool through kinder students. We focus on one shape each day, so this book is perfect. The book has 1 to 3 pages about each shape and has illustrations showing the shape in real life. I call students up to try to find the shape in each picture. Very useful for teaching!

Excellent for Bilingual Pre-K Classes
This book, along with Green is a Chili Pepper by the same author, has been useful to teach and reinforce shapes and colors in my preschool class. I like that I can read the book in English, but it does include some Spanish vocabulary for food, household, and celebratory items that are familiar to the students in my class.

Good little book, was hoping there would be more shapes en español
It's a great little book, it came in perfect condition through the mail and my preschool students loved it! It has some good Spanish vocabulary in it and even a glossary in the back. I just wish there were more vocabulary about las geométricas, the shapes, incorporated into the book, similar to how Green is a Chile Pepper has the colors in spanish. Even so, it's still a great little book for young readers and anyone who is wanting to learn basic Spanish from English!

Great book for toddlers
My son really loves this book. He really likes the pictures and has pretty much memorized this book. He just turned two. I like that he can make real world connections to it (the food items, he is familiar with). Fun to read!
