You can’t go wrong with this headset
Excellent headset! Sony for the win, once again! The headset is comfortable and well-built, the sound is perfect, and connecting via Bluetooth is very easy. The left and right sides are color-coded (red for right and lavender for left). The battery life is super long-I can use them two weeks before charging, which is surprisingly quick. I’ve had this headset for 5 years and they are still like new.

Great Value
These over-the-ear headphones are very lightweight and comfortable to wear. They seemed to be designed to be operated while wearing them because they speak to you as you press the buttons, e.g. Power On/Off, Bluetooth Pairing/Connected/Disconnected, Noise Cancelling, Ambient Sound, etc. Press the power button briefly and it tells you the power level, hold the button a few seconds to turn on/off, and hold it for seven seconds to go into Bluetooth pairing mode. If you have Near Field Communications on your device, my cell phone has this capability, the Bluetooth connects and disconnects when held near the device. In the box are the headphones, and two cables: a headphone cable, and USB-A to USB-C cable. The USB cable is less that 8 inches, not sure why so short, it is difficult to plug into my charging transformer or computer. A 5-volt charging transformer is not included and it is not clear the desired wattage. It did take 7 hours to charge initially. It is listed as having a 35-hour playback time on a charge. The sound quality is very good, I play my music at very high fidelity and these headphones are handling the music exceedingly well. One thing that I wish Sony included is a case for the headphones. There are third-party cases available online. These headphones seem to provide many of the features of Sony’s higher end headphones at a more modest price point. I would certainly recommend them for everyday use. I tested the tree modes; Ambient, Noise Cancelling, and Off. We live on a busy street with much traffic, cars and heavy trucks, which was a perfect setting for the test. Noise Cancelling mode did a great job compensating for the exterior noise, the traffic is loud, and I could barely hear it. As expected in Ambient mode the microphones passed through the street sounds with the music, good if I were walking around and needed to also hear what is going on in the environment and listen to the music. Ambient off turns off the microphones so there is no pass-through sound, so it will depend on the outside volume and your music volume as to how much outside sound you hear. Ambient off also means that Noise Cancelling is off, so if you do not like the compensation that noise cancelling provides, this is your mode. I need to also disclose that I did receive these headphones at a discount in exchange for my honest review. I am pleased with the quality that these headphones provide at a very reasonable price.

This are a budget set of wireless bluetooth headphones that give good performance.
I like these headphones and am planning to keep them. They can also work as a phone communication device with the mic built into the headset. They are comfortable, If you're used to getting ear aches with press against the ear small headphones these are much more comfortable as they go around the ear instead of right on top of it. The biggest issue with these that I noticed right away was the noticeable difference in sound quality between the bluetooth wireless connection and the normal 3.5mm headphone jack cable. The wired connection was head and shoulders fuller, clearer more robust sound in my opinion. I was able to tweek the equalizer on the playback device to improve the sound to some degree, but I can't get over the sound difference between the headphone cable and the bluetooth interface. The second issue is range. For a blue tooth device about 25-30 feet is about all the range you are likely to get. If you have a large workarea that you roam, these will start cutting out and dropping conversation when you get out to about 20 feet. It's wireless but reliably, I was only able to get about 15 feet away from the bluetooth device and not have to wory about it cutting out. This technology is still fairly pricey so if you don't need wireless right now. I'd wait. I would NOT recommend wearing these or any headphones while driving. The noise cancelling / ambient noise cancelling technology makes traffic very faint while you are wearing them. NOT SAFE for driving should be a prominent disclaimer.

Fun to Use
When I turn them on, they pair with my phone automatically. I love having them on my ears for this because when they power up, suddenly there is silence. The noises around me abruptly stop. I love this! In a noisy environment, quiet is a gift, and these headphones make every day a little bit like my birthday. Of course, you can turn off the noise canceling. I do that every once in a while to remember what I used to struggle with but not too often. In short, I adore the noise canceling. The sound quality is great. They do well in the lower registers. I note this fact because, in the past, that had been a problem with some headsets. The weight is good. I’m not aware of them weighing my head down as I have been with some other headsets in the past. I cannot tell you whether they are durable because I treat them as if they were made of glass because I like them so much and really don’t want to risk breaking them and having to wait for a new set to arrive after I re-order. I would definitely buy these again. (Truthfully, I *have* bought them again. They are so wonderful with my cell phone that I bought a set to use with my computer.) On the downside, after several hours of wear time, I like to take them off for a little while because the ear cups press the sides of my head a little bit too hard. (To be fair, I suspect the snug fit might be necessary for the noise canceling feature to do its work.) I hasten to say that the snug fit around my ears does not stop me from using these every day.

Great, but not flawless
The WHCH710N headset is wonderful. Sure, it's not flawless, but it's still a headset worth buying. At a retail price of $200, I've seen it on sale often for $100. That's a very competitive price for a headset with this feature set. The Pros: Excellent build quality. These are sturdy, well built, headphones. Although the majority of the build is plastic, in a way that's a good thing. Excellent sound quality. These headphones produce amazing sound, with a more flat sound profile. Good noise cancellation. The noise cancellation is good enough, but at certain angles, noise can leak in. Amazing audio controls. The controls are outstanding. With them also being physical buttons, it's far easier to control and handle without an accidental gesture activation. Outstanding Bluetooth connection. The Bluetooth connection is simply outstanding. I cant notice any audio delay at all, and it truly feels like a wired headset. The Cons: The leatherette ear cushions. They arent that comfortable, but that depends on the ear size of the user. If you have small ears, they will be fine. But if you have larger ears, you may have discomfort. I personally use (and recommend) the SteelSeries Arctis ear cushions as a replacement. ($14.99+fees USD) Clamping. Depending on the users head size, it can feel a bit clampy. It doesn't hurt, but you can notice it feels snug if you have a bigger head. Ear discomfort. This headset has a strange black cube that is under the ear cushion, in the middle. I do not know what it is for, but again, depending on the users ear size - this black cube may dig into your ear, causing discomfort.

CRAP
We’re absolute worst. Have had for a year and I hate them so much, they do not fit, constantly messing with them in flight (which is when I use them the most). Bluetooth forever f***** can never have them connected to two devices. And currently can’t get Bluetooth to connect anywhere but my iPhone. Even after hard reset. And cushion around earpiece is crap - discovered this only after trying on my moms of a different brand. DO NOT RECOMMEND.

Comfy, but Lackluster Sound
I purchased these as a replacement for a pair of Sony MDR-XB9501n that cracked after a few years of pretty much living in them 24/7. Despite previously owning headphones whose primary feature was EXTRA BASS, I'm not a huge fan of bass - so naturally I was looking for something with less of it. Sadly, these are still too skewed toward lower frequencies for my liking. Not only that, but the mid-range is dull at best, and while the higher frequencies have their moments, I was immediately disappointed by how lackluster my overall listening experience was right off the bat. I will say that the quality improved significantly when using the provided cable, which is to be expected - but as that's not going to be my primary mode of listening, it's not enough to convince me to stick with these. Before I even put them on, I was surprised by how cheap the construction seems to be compared to my previous Sony headphones. That being said, these are much lighter and significantly more comfortable. I could easily see myself wearing them for hours at a time without issue. The button controls are pretty standard, and everything is more or less in the same place as it had been on my other pair. To be honest, I'm weird and usually forget that I even have the option of using the controls, so they're more of a bonus than a priority for me. My only problem is the noise cancelling option. I prefer to do much of my listening with noise cancelling switched off, so on these, every time I turn the headset on and off, I have to cycle through two options just to listen without it. A minor gripe, but it makes the apparent lack of app support (or maybe I'm just unlucky?) that much more frustrating. After doing a little searching, I'm still unclear whether this particular model is supported by Sony's Headphones Connect app, as my MDR-9501n model was. If it is, then I had no luck getting my headphones to do what the app's name implies they should: connect. They connected to both my PC and my phone with a few minor issues; I just couldn't get them to show up in the app for some reason. Speaking of noise cancelling, this feature seems markedly less effective than what my previous 'phones had to offer, and there's an obvious hiss that occurs when it's active. I definitely wouldn't be relying on these to perform well in an environment where noise is an issue. I haven't played around with the ambient sound option, so I can't really speak to its effectiveness either way. They're certainly not bad headphones - although, in my opinion, you can get better sound for the price. Ultimately, between the merely mediocre noise cancelling and a sound profile which just isn't for me, I think I'll continue searching for a pair that better suits my needs.

This is the sound Sony was built on
I'm old enough to have had a Walk-Man, a Disc-Man, and all other manner of popular Sony products over the years. But in the 90s, I felt Sony was just banking on their brand rather than the quality of their products. Then came the Bluetooth boom in the 2000s, and Sony found themselves behind the times, with deep competition. So they threw themselves back into R&D, and started producing some premium quality audio tech once again. The WH-CH710N is one such product. The sound quality is pristine, with a level of clarity that deserves the Sony badge. With their Bass Boost technology, the bass response is amazing without being overpowering -- truly, this is Sony's signature. Furthermore, the active noise cancelling and ambient sound modes are quite good, even during calls. And the microphone pickup does a decent job of focusing on my voice, and background noise is kept to a minimum. Overall, the Sony WH-CH710N is a quality product with an approachable price tag. My only real gripe is that there is no travel bag/case included, while some other comparable products do. Still, if you're in the market for on-ear headphones, this is definitely worth considering. Happy shopping!

Product is fantastic but beware from which seller you are buying
The product is great and meets all the specifications mentioned but I bought it from blumaple seller which claimed the MRP of the product is INR 34,999 but the true MRP is INR 14,990. I called and confirmed with Sony customer care. Blumaple claimed the discounted price to be INR 15,499 and unfortunately I bought it at this price. Later, when I told my friend that this is a good product he looked into it and told me that he sees a different price and MRP which forced me to dig into this and I found out the truth. Again, product is fantastic! Just be careful and buy from authorised sellers only.
