These pads are very thin and tend to stick together, so you often end up with more than one when you take them out of the jar. They seem to work well to take off your eye makeup - each pad is quite saturated. I'm still deciding if I like them better than a cotton pad used with liquid eye makeup remover. Not sure which is better. Second time I bought them - they were all dried out and did not work at all :(

I’ve used these makeup remover wipes for several years. The purple topped item I received was very different than what I expected from an Almay product. The pads were rough and had a flowery scent and definitely did not work as well and left an oily residue that I haven’t experienced in the white capped Almay product pictured. Definitely don’t recommend this purchase!

I ran out of the original Almay makeup remover pads (non-waterproof ones with a pink label) so I figured I try these waterproof ones (with a blue label). The ones with the pink label were great even with a bit of oil, so when I read the bad reviews of these in the blue label ones, I assumed the users were irrational in their complaints of the oil. The oil in the pink ones just washed away when you cleaned your face in your nightly routine. "These can't be that different," I foolishly thought to myself. First off, these pads are ROUGH! They hurt my eyelids (and I don't have sensitive eyes). And secondly, there is more oil in one of these pads than there is on a fat guy on a crowded bus with no air conditioning in the middle of July. But this oil doesn't wash off! I even get in the shower and hold my face under the water while trying to rub off the oil, but it won't come off! After using these pads, you have to dab your eye sockets and surrounding areas (because it goes everywhere, regardless of how careful you are) with a dry towel/toilet paper before showering, and then use a mild soap on your entire face to make sure the oil is off. This product is HORRIBLE. Stick with the original pink label pads. Very thin, almost like paper. Very dry. Burns the HELL out of my eye every time I use them. Dry but somehow very oily to the point where I have to wash my hands afterwards. Gross. I now have a welt under one eye. Unknown if it’s from this stinging, awful product or not. I’ve used them for a week to ensure it wasn’t just me. It not. It’s these paper hell pads. So much pain. Really. Run away from these! (For reference: I’m 42 and use remover everyday. No product has e er caused me this much pain)

I've been using the non-oily Almay pads for a couple of years and thought I'd try the oily ones, expecting them to be more moist. No way! The pads in the jar I got were so dry I had to add liquid eye make-up remover to make them usable. I might just as well have used a plain cotton round. I suspect the jar I got was very old, and that the original liquid had dried up. So many other users complain about how greasy these are, but that wasn't so in my case. I would have welcomed a little grease.

I love these but can't stand the oil version. The description says oil-free but they are NOT. Tried to contact Amazon for a refund but already opened them. They offered a UPS label but I'm not driving to a UPS store for their mistake. Sometimes Amazon really pisses me off with their customer service.

This is sold by the Almay company so they are legit and not some “dupe” item. They ARE oily- you only need one. After that a good wash with clarifying face soap. As someone who can’t use regular eye makeup wipes Or micellar water cause they’re too drying and make me break out, I much prefer oils, even if they are a bit frustrating. I was using other oils like vitamin E prior to getting these. I’d say they’re good for a full eye makeup look & I normally just wear mascara and MAYBE liner during the week so these will last me a long while. If you don’t like oils for makeup removal I would suggest another product.

This is my go to eye makeup remover. Very gentle and does a great job. Highly recommended.

Having tried lots of make up removers and pads after not being able to get Amazon's Find pads or Quickies anymore I looked at reviews and this was no 1. I needed something to remove waterproof mascara without making my sensitive skin sore. This is the best I have used, a little greasy but does the job really quickly and well without having to rub hard. I use one side for 1 eye then the other side for the other eye. I finish with a make up remover wipe all over my face and lastly to remove any residue round the eyes. Its more expensive than others but works really well & I will continue to use.

My wife likes these for her makeup
