Very happy, great temporary fix
I accidentally broke my top front tooth. I needed something temporary until I can get this fixed. The tooth isn't gone completely. Its mostly gone, but the root is still there essentially. It's like a small stump. So I need to have that pulled and an implant put in. In the meantime, I was scrolling on Amazon for a quick temporary fix. I bought a pair of the fake dentures and then the imako tooth tinted plastic. The dentures did not work out. Too thick for my upper lip. And I followed all the instructions from people in the reviews for the imako plastic but i could not get a good tooth made. It took me a few days to get the hang of it. So if you're also trying this.. do not give up after a few tries. You will get it. Here's my advice.. The reviews say to heat your water for 30 seconds. Thats not enough to soften the plastic completely. I had to get it to a boil. Once it started to boil, I took my bowl of hot water and went to my mirror and dropped the plastic into the water. It turns completely clear when its at its softest. Once its clear, you only need a very small piece of that moldable plastic. So rip off a piece while its soft, and play around with molding a tooth in your mouth to make sure its the right size first. So if you have too big of a piece, you can rip more off. If its too small, you can put it back into the hot water and add more back. Its so easy to work with when its hot and clear. But it also cools and hardens quickly as well. So you have to be fast in molding your tooth. If you mess up and it hardens.. pop it back into the water. I did this so many times my water cooled down and id have to heat it back up. I did this trial and error for days. I was starting to get it , but even when I got a tooth that looked okay, it wasn't comfortable in the back and for my bite. So I put it back into the hot water until it was moldable again and ripped more off. The piece i had was essentially too big , so it was creating a bulky piece in the back. So i made it a tad bit smaller. & I realized I had to work on the back first. Make it flat/the same as your other teeth. Then bite down to make sure you're other teeth won't hit it and give you a lisp when you talk. Biting down while its soft will make sure your bite hits exactly where it needs to. Then, I made sure it was the same width and length in the front as my other front tooth. I then used a tooth pick to make the "crack" or "line" between the teeth look more natural. That also kinda pushes it in tight for a nice tight fit so that it won't fall out. Once i got a perfect tooth, I let it harden in my mouth, in place, and then popped it out. It was such a tight fit that it took me wiggling it out for a few seconds to get it out. Thats a good thing. That means I can take it out when I need to and put it back in when I need to. and not have to worry about it falling out when its in. Everyone I showed it to was amazed how good it looked. The color isn't an exact match, but thats okay. It's better than looking like im missing a tooth. Now that I've figured it out.. im so pleased with this purchase. For the first few days I thought it was a waste of money. Now im happy because I can literally make multiple teeth out of just one of the hunks of plastic. And it comes with two. So I can essentially make approximately 8 replacements with having only spent $10.

Miss leading
This was very misleading to me as a valuable customer. It never got soft as the instructions described. To return it. I have no idea where is a whole food store located here in my area.

Great value and it works
Great product as a semi permanent fix. I use to use them for a while before I finally just got a bridge to fix the missing tooth. You have to place the material in boiling water and let it soften then take a piece and make a small ball, place your fingers in behind it and and push from the front with your other hand. Wet you hands. This will take some practice to get it looking correct and passable for real tooth. Also on the back part towards the top push a little to the left and right to make a little area so it will not come forward. If it is too tight to remove redunk it in boiling water just for a second with a spoon and it will only soften the edges and place back into the spot but kinda wiggle it a little as it cools down to make it not so tight. The material is super white. I use a tea bag into the boiled water and place the material in there for a few minutes and then take it out and let it cool down and place next to my teeth to check for color match. just keep doing this until you get a closer match to the color of your teeth. You will have to make more as the color will change when you eat foods or drink tea or coffee. Again I wore mine for 2 years before I did the bridge but definitely a very doable solution. I don't think it will cover 2 missing teeth gap but you can try. I am actually getting an implant and they offered a Invisalign type appliance to cover the gap until the bone heals which will be like 3 months and honestly I do not like the Invisalign appliance. I cant eat with it, its tight, difficult to remove and I have to place it in a case when I am not using it. Temp tooth I can pop out easily when eating or eat with it and just stick it in my pocket. I will honestly just use the temp tooth until the implant gets placed. This Invisalign thing cost me 500 dollars and I will end up using the 10 dollar product anyways. The only reason I went with the dental appliance was because the site where they removed the tooth had stiches and I didn't want the temp tooth to get in the way of the healing. I had to wait 10 days for the lab to get the appliance made anyway and now my gums have healed so now I can wear the temp tooth. LOL.

Very easy to use, no stress, great results -- but be warned
This stuff is super easy to use, and worked perfectly for me. As has already been said, one piece is much larger than you need. I just put it in a cup of boiled water, waited a minute, fished it out with a spoon and pulled off what I thought I needed. I fit it into the gap between my teeth, and it easily molded with my fingers. It was a bit small so i removed it, and It's easy to add a little back to the ball you're using, using the hot water to soften the pieces first. The material becomes clear and very soft, and super moldable. I tried a couple of times to get what I wanted, but it was so stress free that I never once felt like I was doing something wrong. Once I had a look I liked, I left it in and it cooled and hardened to the whiter color. If feels secure and looks good. I'm super happy. Amending this, and puttng a warning in the title. I'm not changing the stars -- it IS easy to use, and it's very effective, in my particular case. I have a missing tooth in the back of my mouth, one of my forward molars, and it's visible when I talk or smile. So, to have that filled in has been a complete game changer. Remarkably, it stayed in place for a couple of weeks, with no shifting at all. BUT -- it did become very yellow over time, only a few shades lighter than the stars on this review. For me, it was still a help, because it filled a gap that, once filled, made things look normal. But if this had been in the front, it would have needed to be changed far sooner than it was. And that's the warning part -- when I wanted to change it, I couldn't get it out. When I put it in, it was malleable and I molded it to a good shape, not realizing that the shape created absolutely trapped it in place. It had served without budging for a couple of weeks -- but once I wanted it out, it's been a 3 day effort to get this thing out. Wiggle, wiggle, shift, pry, pull -- being supremely careful to not damage the bordering natural teeth. It was STUCK, which was why it never seemed unstable (which I liked, and still do appreciate). Finally today, it had gotten somewhat shifty, but simply would not come out, so I started syringing very hot water on it, ( a bit of an ordeal and left my mouth a little burned, like hot tea would), and finally pried it loose. No damage done -- but I'll be a lot more careful with the replacement, to make sure I'm not creating a shape that would be impossible to remove. Hope that makes sense. End of story -- I'm still planning to replace it with a new piece that is not discolored, and I'm still happy with it -- but for some, the yellowing (more noticeable after about a week) and possibility that it might not easily remove would be a fair deal breaker.

Helpful when you need a temporary filling
Fairly difficult to get perfect onto the tooth, but it helps keep food out of the horrifying hole in my tooth. One star. I cannot remove the plastic. I wanted a temporary filling, BUT I AM UNABLE TO GET IT OUT. Hey, update months later 09/26 today I went to the dentist so they could take it out, but they ended up telling me that the plastic is helping avoid worse tooth damage. So, back track to when I flipped to order this. I had a filling fell out ages ago, don't remember when, and I never got it fixed. However, same months ago (around when I ordered this) I was feeling weird about not being able to floss in between two specific teeth. So, I get better floss and do that...and part of my tooth chips away! I freaked out, because I didn't want to wait before going to the dentist again to fix it, I didn't have a place that would help me just yet. So basically, tooth chipped and I used this product. While, yes, I am having a VERY hard time removing it, it has also helped stop severe tooth decay. Anyways, I really want to cry now.

It’s not easy to use, but with patience it works really well
TLDR: This stuff is far from a magic, perfect fix but can make a HUGE difference to help things look at least a little better. It can take a lot of practice and patience to figure out how to use it correctly. Sometimes you’ll need to reheat it to make it soft again a few times (or more) before you’ll get it right. My two front teeth are badly broken, but since they are luxury bones I have to do what I can to not want to kms from how self conscious it makes me feel. This stuff has been a real life saver. If your dental problems are as bad as mine, prepare to need a decent amount of time and patience to figure out using it. I boil hot water, place a strainer bowl in it, and set the product in there. After it sits long enough to get soft, lift the strainer to remove the water and you can easily grab the amount of softened material you need. Try to figure out the amount you need and the basic shape as fast as you can while beginning to apply it to the tooth. Then I use an old credit card, tweezers, and a flosser to get a better shape that will stay in. When it starts to harden up again, gently bite down to make sure it will set in a more natural feeling way. For my front teeth, I make sure there’s extra of the product behind my teeth, then gently bite down while also pressing against the part that shows on the front of my teeth as it cools to the point of no longer being moldible. This helps it to take a shape that will stay put and have the ability to be popped out and back into place. Sometime a I’ll also need to use the card to make sure the bottoms of the “teeth” are flat and in the right spot. Usually right after I make a new one, it’s strong enough to eat with. But eating with it in does wear it out faster and also discolors it, so I’ll usually take it out to eat. I also have a molar that’s very broken that I use this for as well. For that one I wrap the material all the way around the tooth. Definitely bite down as its hardening for a molar or it will be very uncomfortable to wear. The little cap that gets made is also easy to take off and pop back on as needed. Once I make a “tooth patch” it’ll last for a reallyyyy long time. Usually it’s too bright white colored at first to blend in with my natural tooth very well, but over time it becomes more dingey and matches better. Tea or coffee can darken the color more quickly. When being used to patch up teeth, it isn’t super convincing looking from up close. But it works really well for pictures and being on camera. I’ve also trained myself to speak without showing very much of my teeth, and it definitely passes on making things look sooo better than without.

Big mistake that I regret it
I’m just surprised of the positive reviews they made me try this product and we ended up making an urgent appointment with dentist during weekend to be able to take it out as hot water was not help at all even after hours of trying. We had to pay $80 for the visit even though it was partially covered with insurance as well.

Little goes a long way
Easy to shape, natural colour. Fast to soften in hot water and harden just as fast in cold water or just room in temperature when left alone. Good product. Last time it was a little more tinted, now its just too light. I preferred the natural version.

Very inexpensive, temporary solution. It works!
A very simple procedure to alleviate the issues with a missing tooth. Besides cosmetic issues, the tongue gets very abraded by playing with the gap. It is very useful that it comes with two pellets. That way you can keep a good one and try to improve with the other one. Once it is warmed up in the hot water, as the video shows you can remove some material with a spoon edge. I can easily chew soft foods and carefully chew harder foods like meat. It is very easy to install and remove as you wish. For a front tooth I was able to lineup the front of the tooth to look somewhat natural. Behind the tooth I spread it out a bit on the adjoining teeth and the roof of my mouth - see photo. This prevented wiggling and allowed to put more pressure on it for chewing. Good for front teeth, but I’m not sure how it would work for other teeth. The crown fell off this tooth and it will be several weeks before I can get an implant so this was the perfect cheap fix.
