Review: Save your knees on tough climbs. - My wife and I got these because we are starting to do more hiking and sticks weren't cutting it anymore. This is our first set of trekking poles and they are very nice. The grips are comfortable and the height is easily adjustable. These poles will save your knees on tough climbs. We've used them on a few trips and they are holding up well. Review: Perfect poles, poor instructions for assembly - Once I figured out how to join the pole pieces, I found the poles perfect. The poles are perfect, but the instructions for assembling them are poor. It took some ingenuity and mechanical intuition to get them right. If you think the joints are flimsy, try again. They DO work. I complained to the company and strongly urged them to include complete instructions. They want people who have a problem to go to the web where they've posted a video on connecting the pole pieces. IMO, that is not sufficient.

If there were more stars to give, I'd give more.
If there were more stars to give, I'd give more.... I've now used these poles for TWO years. They have been with me, covering over 1200 miles, within those two years, and I couldn't be more pleased. They are extremely durable, dependable and comfortable. To have rubber hand grips, the comfort is exceedingly surprising. I use rubber tips over the metal tips to help prevent wearing of the metal, bc the metal is not replaceable.... Problem solved. I have NEVER, NOT ONCE had these poles slip from the height I set them at. Once you lock them in place, there is no need to worry at all about safety on decent. I've used them crossing rivers, creeks, in snow, in sleet, on very rocky trails,..... you name it. It almost seems to good to be true to get them at sick a great price.... But em. You won't be sorry you did.

Never would have thought a pole could make a difference.
I really like this product. I recently purchased these in preparation of a hike. Like many other new hikers I was skeptical of the usefulness of trekking/hiking poles. Our hike was 5 miles. Moderate to strenuous. Now I am in pretty good shape. Not great but I do take care of my body, Im a blackbelt in Taekwondo and I have a fairly active life. This hike was tough. Not too tough but it wasnt a cake walk either. 400+ foot elevation change , rocks, creeks, mud, lots of different terrain. There were many times along this trail I was grateful to have this pole to lean on, help steady my footing, and generally assist me as I was hiking. I had one time that it came loose on me as I was using it. A quick twist and I was right back at it.

Help for a bad knee
Hurt my knee and I will be in the mountains in 2 weeks. I had to do something. I am a newbie at this. The sticks are strong, adjust easily. I have not got the strap pressure worked out yet but they do help. I need more work on my cadence because I normally do not walk this way. For the price I have no regrets

I was very pleased with the quality and weight of the poles
I ordered the poles on Thursday; they arrived on Friday, and my son and I hiked Mt Washington on Saturday. The poles came as advertised and saved my knees a ton of pounding. They also allowed me to safely navigate the steep climb down. I was very pleased with the quality and weight of the poles. Just want I wanted.

and they are sturdy, convenient
I have taken these poles on several hikes now (I hike on the Pinhoti Trail, Calhoun County, AL), and they are sturdy, convenient, and well-designed. They are easily adjustable, and the anti-shock feature works well. They are a bargain for the price!

Pretty good
The poles are pretty light, straight forward to extend (check the pamphlet inside), and grips are fairly comfortable. However, my biggest complaint is on my first hike with them I tripped over a log and bent the lower end of one pole, luckily I was able to bend it back with a bit of pressure once I got home, but not exactly confidence inspiring. Overall, I'm sure they're great starter poles, just hopefully they don't keeping bending. (also hopefully I don't keep tripping ;) )
