Synchronicity and the psychoid archetype
The author operationalizes the synchronicity concept in the context of the development of Western scientific thought as well as the psychological development of the lives of Jung and Pauli. The psychoid archetype is used as core concept to explain the union of matter and spirit/mind which can manifest in a synchronicity. Fortunately the author moves away from a shallow, "New Age" description of synchronicity. I found the book very accessible and a good read on the topic of synchronicity.

Can't anyone write a book these days without politics?
Can't anyone write a book these days without being political? The author defends Muslim philosophy while berating the United States' "shortsightedness of foreign policy with it's self righteous and imperialistic flavor." This in a book supposedly about psychology and synchronicity. I couldn't finish the book because half way through it I found myself distrusting the author, fearing he has a hidden agenda that has nothing to do with the book's subject.

Synchronicity: Understanding A Meaningful Life
Ever since I heard the word, "synchronicity" I wanted to understand more about the concept, or should I say phenomenon. In this book the author does a good job of explaining synchronicity in a way that I can understand. He shows its importance to psychotherapy, relationships, and life in the real world. He also shows how intelligent scientists, psychologists and theologians are working together today to understand how the importance of synchronicity can be included in the "official" way that science and religion looks at life, thereby helping us deal with the problems of our time.
