My picky little Malitpoo loves Canidae Pure Petite Premium Freeze-Dried Raw Dog Food! I’ve tried so many other brands, and this is the first one he will actually eat. The ingredients are super clean, the pieces are small and easy for him to chew, and it doesn’t upset his sensitive stomach. I really like that it’s real, freeze-dried raw food without fillers—you can actually smell the quality when you open the bag. His coat looks shinier, his energy is up, and he finishes every meal. This has definitely been my go-to food for him for at least four years. The price is affordable. Highly recommend for small dogs with big appetites and picky tastes!

My Yorkiepoo went nuts over this food! We've been feeding her other freeze-dried raw products and she likes them, but most of the brands that are a mix of kibble and freeze-dried nuggets have just a handful of the freeze-dried in the whole bag or they aren't appealing to our picky eater. But the Canidae Small Breed has a freeze-dried coating on all the kibbles and our fur baby loves it. The kibbles are very small so this is definitely edible for even your smallest furry friend. And with a 10-lb bag for under $27, it's a good bargain too! I would highly recommend this food.

This kibble was exactly what I was looking for. My 4 year old Chiweenie is a picky eater, and other small size kibble I bought never seemed to suit her in either taste or size. However, this kibble is slightly larger than rabbit food and is just the big enough for the dog to understand that they have to chew it and not just swallow. As far as the taste is concerned, I'm not going to give it a first handed try, but it appears that it is flavorful as my Chiweenie devoured the entire meal without hesitation, so "NO TRANSITION TIME NEEDED." Since this is a limited ingredient premium dog food, expect a higher cost per feeding; here is the breakdown: * As of 07/14/2020 the 10lb bag is $33. (subscribe and save is 5% less at $31.34) * Per feeding instructions, you can expect to feed a 10-15 pound dog for 75 days. (1/4 cup 2x per day) * Based on the 10-15 pound dog per day cost is $0.44, $3.08 per week, $12.32 per month. So, if you want to feed you dog with premium ingredients and not break the bank, I suggest trying this product. And, if you are like me and think 1/2 cup of dog food per day just doesn't seem to be enough sustenance for an active dog, you can always throw some vegetables in with the feeding. (Green Giant green beans is my dogs favorite)

Have used Canidae for a long time with no issues. Last 2 orders, 4 and 10 pound, have had a high percentage of crumbs. They have been good about refunding purchase. I will buy 1 more time. Dog likes the food and would like to keep getting it. Keep my fingers crossed on next purchase.

I used to be in the pet food industry and have tried many, many foods on my current dogs and previous dogs. 12 years ago for the first time a small dog came into my life. He is a Chihuahua/Dachshund mix. He has lost several teeth and for dinner I soak this food in hot water to soften the kibble. Many, many years ago in the industry I was told that if you soak kibble in warm/hot water and it expands to a huge size, it might contain a ton of filler. This does not expand so to me that's a huge plus. Also my boy's poops are solid and does not poop a ton each day. I add oil to the food just for his coat which is bordering on the rough side. We're on our 4th bag and as long as he is good with this, I will keep feeding it to my beloved, loyal, faithful, precious baby!

My extremely NOT picky will eat anything mini schnauzer does not like this at all. I have to dress it up with other things to get him to eat it. Won’t be getting again.

It tasted so good , I will never eat human food. Again
