Okay, I just had to write this review immediately after opening our order! Asian Taste Preserved Duck Eggs are EXACTLY what we've been yearning for, a genuine taste of our childhood memories! These delicate treasures arrived perfectly intact, not a single crack or chip in sight. They were nestled securely, clearly packed with real care. That alone was a massive relief and a sign of quality. But the real magic happened when we peeled them open... That first bite was an instant time machine! The rich, complex umami flavor, that unique creamy-yet-firm texture of the egg white, and that gloriously intense, molten, almost-cheesy yolk... it was EXACTLY as we remembered from years ago. No weird aftertastes, no off-putting smells – just pure, authentic, perfectly balanced preserved duck egg perfection. It’s incredible how a single taste can transport you back decades. These eggs captured that deep, savory, slightly fermented magic that made them such a beloved treat in our family. The flavor profile is spot-on – complex, earthy, deeply satisfying, and utterly unique. It’s not just food; it’s a sensory memory unlocked. Ngl I almost puked eating this the smell is terrible but the taste isn’t bad. It’s more of an acquired taste. The color was darker than the picture it’s like a brownish black.

Ww were slow to eat one. But surprisingly they are really good. The yoke is super creamy and the white is kinda like jello. They do smell like ammonia after shelled, but it dies down if you let it sit for a minute without the shell. Little bit of salt or soy sauce is the way to go

Taste like fart

OK so I like the duck version of this. I tried it once via chicken egg. It was mild taste of blue cheese it was expensive because this restraint made the egg them self's. Because they said duck was to strong. I wanted that experience again with the chicken version but couldn't find any so I was scared to try duck but I actually really like it. Like really like it. Idk if it's this brand that I like but for my first experience. This duck century egg was on point. Value for money is questionable but I understand the Waite time process so it's OK value for your first time try.

Absolutely wretched, but I hate eggs so it's not their fault. They taste just like eggs with a texture similar to gelatin. Unpleasant if you don't like eggs, but I you like eggs they'd probably work for you. Supposed to be cut up and put in rice porridge with pork, not eaten like a hard boiled egg.

The eggs themselves come in-shell. However, the shell itself is pretty and makes a good presentation, and they are as easy to peel as conventional hard-boiled eggs. This is my first time eating century eggs, but the flavor was straightforward and consistent between eggs. The amber-black contents of the shell tasted pretty much like hard-boiled egg, but was a pleasantly hearty version that reminded me of the livermush my great-grandmother used to serve me on weekend mornings when I visited. It makes me feel full and satisfied, and it goes well with coffee in my opinion. For anybody the flavor resonates well with, I believe it will be a new morning staple. I will be buying this again.

I tried to give these a fair shot. I really, REALLY did. The smell when I opened the package was powerful and unpleasant, but didn't necessarily smell... unhealthy? So even though they're shelf-stable, I popped them into the fridge to get some of the odor down. Took a little nibble of the yolk and the former white to see what I was working with flavorwise, then diced one, mixed it into a stir-fry, and served it over rice. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't good either. Definitely not for me, but the flavor is interesting and complex enough that I can see why other people like it.
