Excellent price/performance ratio
This is a solid machine for the price. I have had good luck with MSI products in the past (mainly graphics cards), and this laptop seems to be of the same level of quality.Pros:Good build- The metal body feels light, but well constructed.Fast- The combination of the i7 Skylake processor, 16gb DDR4 ram, and 256gb SSD makes this computer fly through startup and any other tasks I have thrown at it.Storage- 256GB SSD and 1TB HDD is a good combination for my needs.Display- 4k looks amazing, and the color is true to life. Screen has 60hz refresh rate, which is better than many 4k systems.Gaming- This has handled all games I've tried (Witcher 3, Fallout 4, Skyrim, Elder Scrolls Online, GTA 5) at high or ultra settings in 1080 or 1440 with good frame rates (45+). That said, the frame rate drops significantly at 4k, but honestly that is to be expected in pretty much any current laptop. For normal HD gaming with currently available games, this computer performs very well across the board.Bundled software- Normally I uninstall ALL manufacturer specific software immediately, but for the most part everything included by MSI has been helpful. This includes the Steel Series keyboard software, display profiles, and sound technology. The only software I uninstalled was Norton; I would consider its inclusion a con.Cons:USB ports- There are enough ports, but they are all on the left side. This makes it slightly more awkward to use a wired mouse (a necessity for gaming).Inability to set custom backlights for keyboard- The keyboard is laid out in three zones, and the lighting colors can be customized. This is cool, but it would have been nice to set the lighting on a "per key" basis (WASD, for example).Battery life- A few hours at best. Keep your power supply nearby.Overall, I would probably rate this at 4.5 stars, but the cons aren't bad enough to take off an entire point in my opinion.

Box came in damaged ( out side shipping box was in perfect condition). But product seems to be ok. MY son only wanted this laptop for Christmas. Seems to be a little slow to respond to normal set up. He is 13 and seems to be happy. Processors does not seem to click between screens and handle normal computer use very well. I am not a gamer so was trying to surf internet and do simple set up.

BEWARE, Just don't do it.
I'll Attempt to keep this short, but cover everything.Received the GS60 Ghost Pro 4k-053 after weeks of debating it, and then going and checking it out at a not so local store.Ran many comparisons and checked all hardware on the display model to make sure it was up to my liking. So here's where things get sketchy.Display model of this system had a samsung pro 950 NVMe drive (which matches specifications on manufacture website at roughly 2000mb read 1500mb write speed.) System was snappy with very little bloatware, and was very nice. So I decided to order it from amazon.Once I received this laptop it seemed like everything was laggy/slow. Kind of felt a bit strange to me. So I took a look at the hard drive and system information. The ssd that was included with the shipped product was a Kypix Msata 400mb read/ 300mb write ssd. Far different then the NVMe drive that the display model had. Also the shipped system was loaded with quite a bit of bloatware. Windows kept locking up and crashing Explorer.exe so I attempted a reset on windows 10. After reset the system still would not preform and had multiple errors as described below. Contacted customer service about these problems, their solution was for me to buy a faster SSD if I wanted performance. So now I'm working on installing a absolutely clean version of Microsoft windows and installing all the software one by one and testing, but I am posting a buyer beware as I either got a budget cut lemon... or a mistake and customer service was very unhelpful. This will probably be the last system I get from MSI unless they fix the issues.Items that did not work.Killer application would not launchMSi battery calibration tool would not launchMsi true color would through an error.Steelseries keyboard utility was not installed. The audio software (can't think of the name) would not load any profiles and made no changes.ECO mode failed when attempted to toggle hot key.and the Drive was a complete bait and switch.TLDR;-Pro'sNice deisgn4k screenGTX 970MDDR4Decent Battery-ConsBait and switch drive msata 400mb read/ 300mb writepreloaded o.s. locked up and failed multiple times, also half of the programs did not functionoem image on the recovery partition just reinstalled all the glitchy programs and lcoked the os againcustomer service was a joke (did contact)Thunderbolt?!? -system says yes, documentation says yes, People say no.Update 2/29/2016left fan would not opperate, after contacting support and getting annoyed ended up opening up laptop and found the connect for that fan was half in and out, and QC marked it as good that way. Then contacted support again as usb drives cut out. Was instructed to flash a bios updated that was not for this laptop. (I noticed before I did "Good thing!") Was instructed to download drivers from there website which the page shows this model but doesn't show a single driver that is correct for this system.Still waiting on a resolution for usb cutting out, Has been a week.Update 3/2/2016If I could give this product less than one star I would. Support has been completely ignoring me about the usb and bios issues.More finally got a response after hounding tech support with another ticket. They recommended an RMA that could take 25 days to complete plus shipping time, and to leave all personal information on the system and remove passwords "yup on windows 10 seems like a smart move since it's tied to an online account."System may be hopeless and returned to amazon as defective, since their RMA would take it out of the return period with no promise of repair.Last update. MSI offered to RMA the device with a 10-30day turn around where I would be without the system for that period. Their tech support is absolutely bottom of the line. After being transferred to marketing when told I was being transferred to a supervisor I have decided to take my own advice in this review and go with a different product.
