Makes quick work out of grooming sandy horse arena/ pastures and gravel driveway.
I was so thrilled with how this rake performed in my sandy horse pasture for which I purchased it, I spent the whole day grooming my long gravel (roadbed-grade) drive as well. Due to a few other reviews describing bent and broken tines, I was apprehensive about attempting to rip up the drive which had become very compacted and uneven / washboarded over four years of use with no ability to "fluff it up"......until now! In my opinion, the tines appear to combine just about the right amount of stability/rigidity with enough flexibility to give when they get caught up on a bad spot. Also note: I was hoping to avoid having to buy the Kolpin "accessory toolbar" to mount the rake onto the 3-point hitch. I tried to install the rake on the three-point which also has a straight-hitch bar but, no dice! I had to go ahead and order the 60" toolbar as well but, it was worth it and vastly improves the performance and maneuverability of the rake.

Not the same as a tractor rake
I struggled a little with how to rate this because this take is probably sufficient for a ATV to run over gravel or loose dirt. However that's not what a purchased it for!I bought this to use behind my JD 1025R for clearing brush, limbs, and occasionally smooth a garden. I knew going into this purchase, I would be customizing it for my application. Here is my observation, the tines are typical "made in China" quality. None of them seem to be the same. Some twisted, some under bent, and some over bent. However don't expect to look at the end once it's assembled and see a straight line, and don't expect to look from the back and see a even line across the bottom. There is as much as a inch spread between them in some areas.Another thing I noticed is the tines are spread farther apart than you typically see on a quality rake. This causes you to require more passes to do the work. It also doesn't move material when angled as well, too much material slips between the tines. Please be aware it is very light, probably a good thing for ATV use, but not good for moving a 4-5" tree branch when clearing with a tractor.I was able to use my home built drawbar hitch to attach it with (picture attached). I added a kicker brace to give it a little more stability that just pins into place.Even after all that I am still pleased with my purchase. This was a budget issue for me and the rake will do for the time being.

great product and awesome customer service
I recieved this rake on time, there was one tine broke out of the box, and one broke within 15 minutes of first use. Sounds bad, but I contacted customer service via email, and before the day was out they responded with an apology, and said that there was a problem with the heat process during the making of the tines. They sent me a complete set of replacement tines. Customer service does not get any better than that. Oh yeah the rake does exactly what I bought it for, spreading gravel on my 1/2 mile long driveway.excellent product + excellent customer service = happy customerI highly recommend this product.

Don’t waste your money
This is total junk and it broke first time using it on sand. Don’t buy this product it’s poorly made and terrible quality. This vendor should not be allowed to sell this product on Amazon.

Not recommended for big land raking. This is not a tractor!!!
The set up is nice only doesn't work too well. When raking debris even with down pressure it tends to release all or most of the gathered debris, which can be frustrating. Doesn't really catch any roots or sticks bigger than 3" as a matter of fact any debris that size will cause the rake to lift releasing everything it has captured. This product may be ideally used for seeding feeding plots or raking really light leaves such as pine straw etc. It was too expensive for me to just keep so I sent it back which is a slow and difficult process. My advice is to keep the boxes until you have had a chance to try it on your specific application. Once it is delivered the return process can take 2 months since its considered to be a "heavy bulky" Item. Thank God my UPS driver was a friend of mine. It really looks nice but i think just renting a skid steer will be better for large property. I bought this in a bundle so about 1700 will now go towards a down payment for a new tractor. Don't be like me and think you have found the shortcut or alternative to buying a tractor or you will be disappointed.

Nice rake from Amazon w/FREE shipping
I am satisfied with the landscape rake and received what I expected. I am pulling the landscape rake with a small JD 2305 tractor with 3-pt hitch and trailer receiver bar. To connect the rake I had to purchase a foot of 2 inch square tubing from a local machine shop, drill four 5/8 inch holes and paint it black. We have a long row of 70 ft Rocky Mountain Austrees, Austrees shed a lot of limbs when the wind blows. This made a 2 day job picking up limbs from the winter a one hour job. One tine broke in the first 15 minutes and another later that I did not hear. An email to Kolpin and I promptly received replacement tines about 2 days later. We had 30 tons of 3/4 inch washed rock delivered and spread on our road and driveway. I angled the rake one notch and finish-spread the rock with no problems or broken tines. I would recommend this rake for any light to medium duty tasks that it is designed for. Kolpin should be commended for their fine and prompt customer service.

After first use a tine broke
Thought this .might be a goodproduct for light work but maybe not. After first use there was a loud ping and a tine broke and almost hit me in the head. Not so sure about this product.

Handy implement
I use this for raking grass and pine needles in my yard. It works great mounted on my Kubota 2301. I strongly recommend this for anyone who has a relatively large yard to care for.
