Mesmerizing (SP?)
This is fun, but don't give it to your friends when they are high. They will play with it all night and ponder the meaning of life while the ball in their hand changes colors when they throw it in the air... and then they miss it and it hits them in the face... but still changed colors. Or do... it could be entertaining. My brother loves it. It feeds that need for a fidget spinner, but doesn't make you look like a 2020 wanabe when you play with it. You just look like an adult that still plays with kids toys. It is great in the office, people pick it up and it starts conversations about the design and manufacturing process that would have to go into building such a device. And it could save your marriage... I don't know how but I'm sure it can.

Seemed important to buy at the time. lol
Nifty device. Spin it and it changes colors. Now what? Nothing else. Gave it to my son who thinks it's pretty cool.

Great gift for your PT.
I’ve had a ball like this for many years, I didn’t even know they were still around. But I’m so glad they are. I’d had my ball in my bag from the night before. I was going to be sitting around for an hour or so, while my car was being looked at…the next day I went to PT and completely forgot about the ball in my bag, until I was bored and I opened my bag and saw it. The entire PT office was soon throwing my ball around, they liked it so much, I told them they could keep it until my next appointment. Well, on my next visit my PT asked if he could keep it a bit longer, his entire office staff was really enjoying tossing it around. Fearing I’d never get my beloved ball back, I ordered this one. Had it been blue I would’ve just kept it, on my next visit the guy at the front desk was playing with my ball,I opened my hands and he tossed the ball to me, thinking that was the end of his fun, I opened my bag, and tossed the new ball to them, told them it was theirs to keep. They love it, every day it’s passed from person to person so they all get a turn. It brings them such joy. They’ve done so much for me, I’m thrilled I was able to purchase this ball for them.

Great Gift for ANYONE
One of the funnest fidgets I own. It's so fun to throw the toy up and watch it change colors. It might be a bit hard for an uncoordinated toddler or young child to throw the ball up in the air high enough to get the colors to change, but it provided hours of fun for my husband and brother in laws. The adult men played with this ball for over 2 hours at our Christmas party, and it was dropped countless times. It's been around our house over a year and it's proven to be durable and interesting for a large variety of people. I would not hesitate to suggest this to anyone looking for a fun, inexpensive gift.

I think this is a knock-off
Purchased this thinking it was a genuine Hoberman ball. From the packaging, it isn't. Gadget itself is intended to demonstrate an interesting design principle, that when tossed the shape alters and self-assembles into an alternative configuration with different colors. It does, but with a fair amount of force. You can also pull on it, and get the same thing. This model requires a fair amount of force for the shift, I wonder if an authentic gadget would need less. Cost of return is as much as keeping it, so we will. Bottom line: it's a fidget spinner, based on a more interesting design principle. Won't hold attention long.

Private practice speech therapy clients love it
Several of my adolescent clients love to play with it and throw it back and forth. They can engage with more excitement when we play with it. They like trying to throw it in a way that keeps it on the same color. It’s a game.
