McNett MICRONET MicroTerry Towel,Deep Blue,X-Large

I like these towels - and more importantly so do my very fussy kids. They are much thinner than normal towels, very absorbent, dry super fast and are lighter on the packing - but they also feel much more like normal towels than the other micro fibre travel towels. The only thing I don't like is the lack of range of colours - not good when you are trying to kit out the whole family. The XL is also a great towel for coverage and I can easily wrap my kids in them, but if is space is at a premium and you are not so fussy you might like to try a smaller version.

Ich war auf der Suche nach einem großen Reisehandtuch, was nicht so dünn ist wie die gewöhnlichen sehr leichten Reisehandtücher, zumal diese nach einigen Wäschen anfangen zu stinken. Also habe ich dieses hier genommen. In Größe XL kann man sich komplett darin einwickeln. Es fühlt sich fast an wie ein normales Handtuch, ist in XL natürlich nicht mehr ganz leicht, aber immer noch wesentlich platzsparender als ein normales Duschhandtuch. Das Handtuch hat mich inzwischen schon auf zwei Reisen begleitet und ich find's immer noch toll. In Kürze kommt unsere dritte gemeinsame Reise.

Be sure to choose between "micro-terry" and "suede ultra compact" towels from MicroNet. The X-Large micro-terry towel (35" x 62") weights more than 17 on (490 g). The Large suede (30" X 50) towel weights only 6 or 7 on (180 gr) and can fit into a pocket. The more heavy X-Large can serve as beach towel or small blanket. Both have sturdy pouches and are fast drying. Note : X-Large in suede is presently out of stock. Large in micro-terry is available.

Love it! Absorbs well, comfy and it can double as a blanket. I never go on a trip without it. After 2 years it still looks as new.

Das McNett Handtuch hat meine Erwartungen voll erfüllt.Platzsparend und dennoch sehr saugfähig.und bei der Größe auch sehr gut als Badehandtuch zu verwenden.Ebenso praktisch ist die Aufbewahrungstasche die man auch super als Hygienebeutel benutzen kann während man das Handtuch verwendet.Am Handtuch selber ist auch ein druckknopf angebracht mit den man es überall aufhängen kann.Kann ich uneingeschränkt weiterempfehlen

Platzsparend in jedem Rucksack verstaubar. Trocknet perfekt und ist auch nach einigen Wäschen wie neu. Fühlt sich weich und anschmiegsam an. Das beste Wander- und Campinghandtuch, das ich besitze. Absolut empfehlenswert!

This is such a good idea for travelling. Took it on holidays and it really was so easy to carry and use plus it doesn't take up very much room in my luggage.

Das Handtuch ist schwerer als andere Microfleece Handtücher, ist dafür aber deutlich angenehmer beim abtrocknen. Nach dem ersten waschen hat sich gleich ein Faden im Tuch verzogen, das wäre bei den anderen Tüchern nicht passiert, 2 Sterne Abzug für die langlebigkeit.

I purchased one of Micronet's previous versions of this towel in 2008. Although the original towel dries quickly, seemed to keep any odors at bay, and was soft, it just seemed to soak up water, leaving it difficult to dry off if you run out of dry areas on the towel. In addition, the smoothe texture of the towel clinged to wet skin and felt a bit strange if you are used to terry cloth towels.This version is a big step up in terms of feel and performance. Although the new texture is not as soft as terry, it feels more absorbant and less clingy as you are using it. Dries easily as well. Granted, I've only used it after two showers, so I can't speak to the durability of the product. That said, the previous version of the towel, which I used regularly for several years, is still in good shape.If there is one gripe, it is that the improved texture of the towel seems to come at the cost of some of the softness of the previous iteration. Again, it's not uncomfortable, but it is slightly more "scrubby" than a terry towel, relatively speaking. This could mellow out after extended use and washing, so more to follow ...

This towel can pack pretty small and dries incredibly quickly (generally under 2 hours). While it is able to be compacted into a fairly small size, it is still a larger bundle than the microfiber towel that does not have the terry, weave knitting. That being acknowledged, this towel felt like a real towel (the non-terry microfiber towels can feel slimy when wet) and the size that I purchased (X-large) was great because it could be used as a beach towel or as an extra toss blanket.If space is at a minimum, I would go for the microfiber towel without the terry weave. Just note that the feel is going to be a little different -- almost slippery. I think it would be possible to get a cheap terry towel at the store that could fold up nearly as small as this one but I don't think it would dry as quickly. The price for a store-bought terry towel, over this Micronet towel, may be a little more appeasing as well.Update January 2011: I started to use the Micronet towels as regular bath towels. I have found these towels to wash beautifully. I have had no problems with them tearing or threads coming loose. These are well made towels -- the towels I purchased at the time this review was originally written are still in great shape.Update November 2014: I still have the towels that I purchased in 2010 and I still use them! If I go on a trip, the microterry towels are the ones I take.

I purchased this to use during a recent Afghanistan vacation. I have absolutely no complaints. This towel has much more texture than other microfiber towels. It is also considerably more bulky. In my view, it's a worthy trade-off. I prefer this over my other standard MICRONET due to it lacking the stickiness of smooth microfiber material. If it ever wears out, i'll buy the same towel again.

I was looking for a towel that could fit in my backpack. The regular size towels are bulky there for take up a lot of room limiting the amount of things I could store in my backpack. This towel is compact in size, works the same as the regular towel, and dries super-fast.

Bought this for camping and it is perfect for that. I like using big towels and this fits the bill perfectly. Two of us used it after swimming at the beach and it dried us off with no problem. Hung it up on a clothes line and it dried quickly. Have not washed it yet, so not sure how it holds up there, but it is definitely a keeper.

I am currently using this towel while living in the barracks in the Army. Its is a huge towel for how small it compacts down to. I plan on taking this with me when I deploy. Love the loop on the top so I can hang it from basically anywhere. Also, it dries fast. Great product.

I ordered this towel because I travel a lot in Afghanistan and most of the time I travel with a light load. This towel is perfect. I am 6ft tall and I wrap the towel around about 1.5 times and goes from mid chest to covering my knees. LOVE IT

The towel is nice. It is quality made and comes in a nice storage pouch. Dries quickly. It is just not absorbent. It kind of just pushes the water off you and not really dries you off. We bought a set for camping because we don't have the storage for big bulky towels. Definitely fits that bill. My husband also takes it to the gym. Has many uses.
