Never buy plastic fasteners
Buy metal only! Airlines are tough on carriers!! Heat, cold, temperature changes, age ...will weaken plastic bolts. You won't know they are weak until they fail and you don't want them to fail when some idiot airline employees drops the carrier or just picks it up. If that fastener is around the door and that plastic bolt fails.....the door will open and the pet is gone....likely forever.I shipped my animals when active duty for over 20 years. If the carrier came with plastic fasterers, I replaced them with METALDelta (If I remember correctly) REQUIRES ONLY METAL FASTENERS for pet carriers. The other airlines could care less if your pet carrier fails from plastic fasteners and your pet escapes.
