I have a 3-year old Silver Lab who has had skin/fur issues on and off for the past few years. I purchased this product after reading a previous review (a few reviews down) of another silver lab that this product worked for. Silver labs are a diluted color breed that are notorious for skin/coat issues. Oliver has had issues with thinning coat, itchiness, and patchiness that come in waves as the seasons change - nothing that has affected his health, but annoyances that both he and I (and other people) notice. He was tested for a thyroid issue and those tests came back normal. I've tried everything the vet has recommended - switching to a salmon-based food, allergy shots, allergy tablets, fish oil pills, medicated shampoo, conditioner, etc and nothing has really treated the problem completely. The veterinarian finally said that it was just how he is and something I'd have to live with. I finally decided to try this when he lost an old-man style patch on the top of his head. I did the 8 week recommended program with Dermoscent and it really is a miracle. I don't usually write reviews online but if your dog is struggling with any skin/coat issues, you need to give this a try. All of the problems you see in the pictures are gone. No more spotting, no more hair loss, no more itching, and on top of that, his coat has thickened significantly and is very shiny. It looks HEALTHY. The hair on the top of his head filled in as well, which is something I was worried would never come back. This product also has a pleasing scent and is easy to apply (just once a week for 8 weeks). Now that the 8 weeks is over I'll be watching for any issues and if they do happen I will be sure to buy it again. This is the only thing I've tried that really works and does exactly what's promised. THANK YOU for a great product and a happy dog & owner.

I bought this for my 9-year-old blue Doberman who started shedding large patches of hair and had dandruff and itchy skin. I noticed a real improvement after about 1.5 weeks — the shedding slowed down, his skin looked healthier, and he was scratching less. I now use it every two weeks to maintain results. It’s easy to apply, gentle on his sensitive skin, and doesn’t have a strong smell. If your dog has allergies, dandruff, or patchy shedding, especially an older dog, this is worth trying.

This product is amazing! I am beyond Thankful that I found this. I don't generally leave reviews so instantaneously, but this product is a game changer, so I had to. We saw immediate results. Our 9mo old Great Dane baby was having some serious itchy skin issues, all of a sudden. Probably due to the severe weather changes. Because we are super specific with his diet since GD's tummies/guts are so sensitive. He was chewing so much that he was creating hotspots and drawing blood. I was on the hunt for something that would be gentle and soothing, and effective! The first hotspot meds I bought did not work at all. This product, WOW... I have never in my whole dog mom life seen something work so quickly. Within the first couple of hours he just had relief. He was barely chewing, to 5 days later he isn't chewing at all. Honestly, I am singing the praises for this product. The savings on a vet bill is a bonus to our baby boy finally feeling so much better in his skin. Thank you!!!

Like the product. It gives my dog's coat a pleasant odor and takes away that yeasty smell from his whole body. My only complaint is that when you order it, Amazon is very dishonest about the delivery date which is often WEEKS later than originally told. Don't want to do autumatic shipments yet because we haven't been on it that long and haven"t been on it that regularly due to this shipping problem. And I'm not sure that would help anyway.

We thought we’d tried everything to help our Carolina Dog (American dingo) with her dry itchy skin…. But we hadn’t… yet! Our poor girl was so itchy that if we gave her a pat on her back or gave her a little “belly rub” or “butt rub”…. ABOVE her tail! ;). (Just don’t know what to call that spot) Well, no matter where we’d touch her, her skin would twitch and she’d pick up one of her back legs to itch and scratch at the spot. Her whole back was itchy like this. Sometimes her skin would get so “hot” that she’d literally just sit and pant and stare at us beggin for help! We tried all sorts of vet recommended products and everything I found here on Amazon that promised to help with itching or dry skin…. Poor baby. Nothing worked. We tried supplements, changing food, adding omega oils, fish oils, dinovite, we tried it all. The only thing that brought relief was drugging her with Benedryl! At my last vet visit, my dog had noticeable dandruff which I hadn’t noticed before. This sparked the vet to suggest this product. Of course I was skeptical and after looking at the list on ingredients and my own apothecary of essential oils and carrier oils, and nothing that some were the same, I wondered how this could possibly work. The answer is simple: MAGIC!!! It’s so easy to apply and seemed to just kind of sit there on her neck/back. As indicated I brushed her a few days later and already noticed there was less twitching when I brushed her. We applied it religiously once a week for the first month, and when we were deciding if we should buy it again or not we just looked at her sitting there peacefully smiling and not panting or itching or looking miserable and quickly placed another order. The next box we used it every other week and now I am about to buy then third box. It’s night and day for our pup! Her fur is amazingly soft. She smells great (never was a stinky dog, but it’s a bonus!) and the itching has completely stopped. I was prompted to write this review when she just came over to me and I gave her a nice butt rub (above her tail, people! Don’t be gross!) ;) and she just looked back and smiled and enjoyed it. I am so happy she has found relief. How does it work? I have no idea…. That’s why it must be magic!

Really good to moisturize really dry skin with your dog! And it smells amazing on them still after 3 days.

I have a three year-old labrador with sebaceous adenitis, and this product has been a godsend. I use one tube once a week in conjunction with giving him jojoba oil soaks. Yes the product kind of has a funny smell. It reminds me of pine shavings so we call it his gerbil juice. He does not seem to mind it at all. For some reason, I wish they would make the pipe a little easier because when you do snap it open it never comes out like it’s supposed to. I actually have to take a pair of kitchen shears and snip it down even further. But it really does help to moisturize and keep my dogs skin and coat looking beautiful.

This seems to have made things worse. No other changes, to diet, routine, treats, supplements, activity,. But following the first application, the dog's "itch zones" only spread. We've moved into summer at the same time (and unusual rain & humidity); maybe that's impacting it too. But on went the Essential 6 and Dog was dryer, itchier, & sheddier within hours. Discontinued. Otherwise, no "bad" reactions, scent is good if you're into that strong essential oil odor, but dissipates quickly anyway. I think it's a ripoff and they got me.

En verdad son muy buenos, mi perrito tenia la tendencia de rascarse mucho desde que lo adoptamos, dentro de su tratamiento obtuvimos estas ampolletas como complemento, me ha ayudado mucho para que se desenvuelva aún más en su día a día, sin tener que rascarse a cada rato y ya no me preocupo bastante cuando salimos a pasear en áreas verdes o de tierra.

I bought this on recommendation from our vet to help with our dog’s sudden development of flaking skin and fur loss in tufts, not just usual shedding. On our second box now and it really has helped; no more clumps of fur loss and skin flakes have all but cleared up. It doesn’t bother the dog having it on and the smell of essential oils divine - like he’s been to the spa!
