I bought these for my (Mass)Drop HD6xx headphones because I've really worn down the original ones.Installation is a breeze--you just line the pad up in the middle and press down on the pads til you feel a click. Removing the old pads was a bit tricky. I basically tore one pad away from the mounting ring because I grabbed it wrong. The glue was probably also starting to weaken. If you're trying to keep your old ones intact, my advice would be to be certain that what you're grabbing is hard plastic, and pry up from the inside of the ring. If you do what I did and pull the pad away from the ring, a spudger or thin standard screwdriver can be used to pry the ring up from the outside of the ring so you can mount the new one. If you aren't sure whether you got the ring, the inner foam cover that sets between your ear and the driver should be loose if you got the mounting ring. If you didn't, the foam cover over the driver will be stuck in place.The new ones are a good bit thicker than the original ones, so I had to adjust the band a bit to fit comfortably. It's hard to imagine someone with a bigger head than mine, but I suppose it's possible you might max out the band before getting to a comfortable position. It's also worth noting that the sheepskin exterior is keeping my ears warmer than the solid velour original ones. You may prefer the plain velour ones if you run hot. They are less breathable than the original ones, but a good tradeoff between full sheepskin and full velour. Hopefully the foam core will hold its shape for a while, but I can't speak to that yet.I'm too old to be much of an audiophile anymore, but I will say that from my own perspective, there's not a substantial difference in the way things sound with the new ones installed vs. the original ones. I like the way my HD6xx faithfully reproduces music, and I'm pleased to say that these pads didn't affect it much, at least as far as I'm able to tell. There may be a touch more isolation thanks to the sheepskin exterior, but it's not substantial. These are open-back headphones, so that's not what I'm after when wearing these anyway.

These things are definitely worth the higher price tag. I can't compare them to other cheaper options, but I can't imagine the cheaper options doing the job better than these.Big pro: They couldn't be easier to install and they stay in place pretty well.They are SUPER comfy. The fenestrated sheepskin does not run hot at all. And this is coming from someone who runs VERY hot. Also, I never find myself having to adjust them like I did with the stock Sennheiser cushions that I was using.They also do not alter the sound much at all. If anything, they amplify the base a bit and (in my opinion) improve the sound overall.

I've had my HD6xx for about 9 months now and I love it. The stock pads were starting to flatten out and they lost their solidness. The sound was still good, but when I put these on, it sounded a lot more full and surrounded my ears better. These pads feel like they'll last longer than the stock pads because, with the sheepskin, they seem like they'll hold their shape better. All velour is nice and feels great, but this is a mix of the best of both worlds. The part of the pad that touches your head IS velour, so you still get that smooth silky feeling against your skin. I give this product 5 stars all around. Great replacements for stock earpads on this Sennheiser series of headsets. Grab one now!Edit: I wanted to mention the sound. For me, the sound signature wasn't changed much. If anything I like the deeper bass and the every so slightly toned down highs. Santana's Africa speaks has a lot of electric guitars that used to grate on my nerves. I can actually stand it now using these earpads. I wouldn't worry about it sounding awful, it's perfectly fine. I often wonder why people rag on the sound of these after owning them for a bit now. I think some people just like to complain. Always keep that in mind as you read Amazon reviews. Good luck!

So I am reading a few people complaining that after 2-3 years that the glue has come apart and they aren't holding together as well. It's like they forget that wearing something on your head, sweating and adding heat, that you aren't going to eventually have something come apart. Even the stock pads for all my cans have eventually worn out or come apart with every brand, especially if they are a daily driver and you use them for hours each day. So keep in mind that of course nothing is meant to last but these have served me well for the past year so far without any signs up coming apart or breaking. if get 2-3 years out of a 30$ pair of pads I would be more than happy and got my moneys worth twice over. The heat from your head and sweating slightly which everyone does, not talking about some crazy amount, is going to have adverse effects on any pads no matter the company. So please don't listen to the spoiled complainers who expect everything to last forever and be perfect. Just understand that these will change the sound profile on some headphones, I found on my 58xx's they didn't what so ever, if anything they made it slightly better. On my 6xx's they did change slightly but not the worst, just different overall. It can be fixed easily with an EQ or something like Peace. So I would recommend these to anyone who wants to gain some extra listening time vs. the stock pads. They are 1000 times more comfortable and I found myself using these longer than previously before I had any signs of discomfort. Enjoy them!

I decided to finally replace the original pads on my HD6XX headphones. I haven't until now because about 2 years ago I mostly daily drove my Anandas, but I really wanted to experience the really warm tone of the HD6XX again so I used them for a few days. They didn't sound like I remembered, as everything just sounded kind of blunted and melded into the mids. Like I said, these were with the original pads and I think I got my HD6XXs on the second or third wave that (Mass)Drop did so yeah.... the pads were very old and pretty squished down. I was a bit skeptical of how much new pads would change the sound since I changed the pads on my AKG headphones and they didn't change that drastically. But wow was I wrong...I guess the HD6XX is much more sensitive to pad changes, because the sound is night and day. I thought I might as well give the Dekoni pads a shot since they use a different foam than Sennheiser (stock pads are pretty notorious for wearing down quickly, although most people like the stock sound the best) It's been years since I have heard the stock HD6XX pads so it's hard to compare from memory, but if I had to guess I am pretty sure I would actually prefer the Dekoni Elite Hybrid pads over the stock ones.TL;DR: the bass is accentuated a little, the mids are very slightly recessed more but still intimate, the highs are still rolled off a bit but sound a little less "veiled". The best change is that since the earpads are slightly deeper, the soundstage opens up a bit but the instrument separation is very noticeably improved. This is exactly what I wanted for my HD6XX so I love them--if these changes sound good to you, seriously just buy them already. You won't regret it.The Dekoni pads do change the stock sound, but mostly for the better in my opinion. Overall, it is still a very warm sound signature just like stock. However, there is definitely more bass presence, which I prefer. I used to have to EQ a couple db of bass to get it just where I liked it, but now I just leave my EQ flat and it sounds great. The bass is accentuated without sounding bloated, and the only time it may sound too flubby is for very bass heavy music like EDM. But if you're a bass head, you're probably not using the HD6XX anyway.As for the mids, male and female vocals still sound excellent. They are just moved a tiny bit backward into the mix since the earpads are thicker than the stock Sennheiser pads. I think this is mostly because the soundstage sounds a little more open. Don't get me wrong, it still sounds pretty intimate and has the HD6XX sound, but it is just opened up a tad more, which some may or may not like. But since replacing the pads decongested the music compared to my old squished pads, wow instruments like piano and electric guitar sound absolutely awesome. They sound very lush and present in the mix, so if you listen to a lot of rock music, then get these pads!For the highs, not too much has changed. The overall tone is still warm, but I think since these pads sound a little more open, the highs don't quite roll off as much compared to stock (again it's been years, so I could be wrong) From what I remember, these pads sound a little less "veiled" while not sounding too bright either.I think one of the best parts of these pads is the slight opening up of the soundstage, because it still has that intimacy especially with vocals, but you get a noticeable boost in instrument separation. Since the bass is more accentuated and the mids are separated a little more, you can really hear the each part more distinctly so it sounds even more detailed. You really hear all of those vocal layers if you're listening to a song with harmonies, or those little details sitting lower in the mix are a little easier to suss out. If you have some older pads like me, then switching to these pads is like shaking off the old rust and making your music shine again.The only minor gripe I have is that since the HD6XX can be a pretty clampy headphone even with stock pads, you definitely notice the clamp a bit since these earpads are a little thicker than stock pads. I am hoping my headphones break in a bit after wearing them more with the new earpads, but honestly I'm really nitpicking here. If/when these pads wear out, I am definitely buying another set because I am just in love with how these make the HD6XX sound.

Lets start off with the good news and slowly progress to the bad ones. I gave them quite a bit of listening time, and here are my resultsAesthetics and fit- they look gorgeous on the hd 600s, just beautiful, a perfect fit that inserts easily into my Hd 600s.Comfort- This one is pretty subjective and depends on personal preference. The memory foam is perfect, yet the sheepskin gets warm pretty fast, much faster than the velours. Not a positive in my opinion. They also increment the clamp force of the headphones.Sound- Yikes- Want more bass in exchange for the timbre and beautiful vocals of the hd 600? These are it- The bass is about the only positive increase on the Hd 600s, otherwise there is a sacrifice in the timbre, vocals become slightly recessed, and the highs lose a lot of their sparkle.- The soundstage is just gone. Which is sad because my PM-3s now feel like they have more sound stage than these do.If you have an allergy for velour, want to make your hd 600s into thicker sounding headphones, and prefer memory foam, these are for you.If you value the Hd 600’s magical sparkle and moderate sound stage, then run away from these and don’t look back.

This review is for the Elite Velour version.I bought these to replace the stock ear pads for the Massdrop H6XX's and these are basically like a dream. Super easy to install, very comfortable, and the sound quality is not *that* different. The immediate difference is an increase in bass and a small decrease in mids, but not much else. Some of the other reviews are really aggressive stating that the sound quality is "garbage" or the sound stage is "ruined". They *do* sound different from the stock pads, but the stock pads themselves sounded different between the day I bought them and the day I replaced them due to wear and taking on bodily oils and such. You're gonna notice a difference no matter which option you pick, so honestly, if you're looking into replacing your stock pads, just buy these and save yourself the trouble.

This installed flawlessly on my HD 6XX's. At first I did not think it was going to work, but I realized you sort of have trust that it will click in with force.The bass and comfort is improved from stock. It does change the sound drastically in my opinion, but it is explicitly mentioned in the product's about info below that it will change.I mainly purchased for comfort, forgoing any sound change. I am extremely happy with the comfort, the sound difference I have accepted (as the product was accurate and honest about the difference) and the only mild complaint I have is it makes my ears warmer than my head. I personally do not mind this though.

Sulla carta tutta un'altra bestia, rispetto agli originali e ai già di per sé solidi Sheepskin, sempre prodotti dalla casa americana e da me in precedenza impiegati, un progetto pensato per regalare all'ascoltatore un dirompente compromesso tra analisi e divertimento. Domanda: come suonano, a confronto?Premessa, doverosa. I cuscinetti in pelle erano ormai giunti a fine corsa, scenario confermato sia dalla fatica ormai provata durante l'ascolto, dipesa in parte dall'eccessiva enfatizzazione delle frequenze medio-alte, con tutte le conseguenti fisime da "audiofilo" (sarà la cuffia? L'amplificatore? Oppure la testina del giradischi?), ma soprattutto dalla sostituzione con questi nuovi Elite Hybrid, i quali, installati assieme a un nuovo paio di foam disc interni, hanno da subito restituito colore, fuoco e corposità generale al suono riprodotto. Prima cosa, come già accaduto in passato: all'installazione, dimenticate per un istante quanto vi siano costati, dovrete fare un po' di pressione affinché gli spessori, ostruiti dai dischi di assorbimento, si incastrino ad arte nei padiglioni, a operazione compiuta dovreste comunque sentire un click di aggancio/conferma. Come da prassi, hanno bisogno del loro tempo di rodaggio e accomodamento, all'inizio il tutto vi sembrerà scomodamente confuso e fuori fuoco, sta di fatto che, dopo all'incirca due mesi di regolare ascolto, il suono, da equilibratamente gustoso e coinvolgente, anche a volume largamente sostenuto, almeno sul mio impianto e con le mie orecchie, è divenuto eccessivamente invadente sulle medie-alte frequenze, decisamente più incisive e, per i miei gusti, troppo appuntite e stridenti, con il soundstage decisamente spostato in avanti e le voci frontali troppo vicine all'ascoltatore. Un risultato piuttosto deludente, aspettandomi, in presenza dei fori di assorbimento, il minor numero feedback acustici possibili e una maggior linearità e definizione, a livello di tridimensionalità stereofonica e fedeltà del suono. Inoltre, le strisce di velluto hanno cominciato a pizzicare in brevissimo tempo, pertanto ho deciso di tornare alle Elite Sheepskin, certo, meno definite e dal sound più scuro se messe a confronto, ma per le mie orecchie più facili e meno faticose da impiegare.

These are great earpads, at least for the first six months or so.Even without heavy usage, the glue holding the leather to the mounting ring degrades, and the leather part slowly detaches from the mount and foam making it unusable. For the VERY high price, I expected to get a fairly long use period out of these, as it is i got just 9 months... And these weren't even on my main pair of headphones!Honestly the stock Sennheiser pads last longer, as they normally last a year or so, and they are known to degrade quickly.

以前同イヤーパッドのメッシュレザーのHD800S用を購入した際に、低音の量感が無くなったとレビューさせて頂きました。HD800S用のDekoniイヤーパッドは厚みがある為、耳までの距離が純正イヤーパッドよりも長くなります。低音は遠くに飛ばない性質がある為だと思います。したがってHD800S用には低評価をつけさせて頂きましたが、低音が強くこもりがちなHD660Sはむしろ相性が良いのではないかと思い購入しました。その結果、低音のこもりが改善されました。嬉しい誤算だったのは全体的に音場が広くなった事です。左側を純正イヤーパッドにして、右側をDeconiイヤーパッドにして比較してみた所、明らかにDekoniイヤーパッドの方がボーカルや楽器の音が全体的に少し後ろに下がった感じでした。今回はエリートベロアを選びましたが、HD660S用のメッシュレザーを購入して比較してみようか検討中です。どちらにせよ、HD660Sのこもった低音に悩まされておられる方は一考の余地ありだと思いました。

Provate su sennheiser hd660 s2.Essendo un aspetto soggettivo, vanno comunque provate in quanto non abbiamo tutti le orecchie delle stesse dimensioni.
