Dungeon Craft Board Game: Volume 1 Loose Leaf Inside a Custom Box, Water Resistant, Dry Erase by 1985 Games

It makes rearranging maps, organizing enemies and terrain, and the overall immersion, a much easier thing to juggle as a DM at my table.I love this purchase. So much so that I bought the other kits and maps from their store after purchasing this one!Important notes:- I HIGHLY suggest getting a paper cutter to speed up the process of slicing everything. Cutting by hand can get very tiring very quickly.- The prints, specifically buildings, do NOT line up on both sides, but rather are mirrored images. You'll see this in the first photo where the buildings are shown one way versus flipped over. If you notice, the chimney icons flip sides and the building outsides no longer match the layout of the insides. It doesn't matter which way you flip it, the opposite side will always be mirrored. This is true of everything in their lineup. If you're cool with this, you won't have a problem! Otherwise, it may throw things off and you should be aware of it.- All pieces are double-sided. One side will look different from the other. Examples: A closed chest becomes an open one; An enemy on a stone background becomes the same enemy on grass; A flowing river of water becomes a flowing river of lava; and much more. There is a wide variety of pieces as a result, with many options at the DM's discretion.- These pieces match the gridded terrain boards made by from the same company. Some pieces have grassy backgrounds, others have stone. They work very well on top of the accompanying boards, and may look awkward if you use different ones instead.- Because of the lamination, the pieces are slick and will slide on top of the board if you don't have them stuck down with simple scotch tape or something similar. This can be frustrating if a player accidentally bumps the table or moves their mini a little too forcefully across one of the terrain pieces. Be aware of this!- The images are beautiful and the quality is pretty good. You're getting a great deal of stuff for a reasonable price, especially when compared to sources like Dwarven Forge. This is an excellent, cost efficient solution to anyone who doesn't want to spend hundreds upon hundreds of dollars for small dungeon arrangements.- There are A LOT of pieces. Like, a lot. Storing them can be difficult, so what I found was good was getting a binder with those clear paper protectors and using those to store pieces. For smaller pieces, like the smallest 1x1" tokens, I used coin collectors sheets. I used slotted and sectioned clear display sheets for everything else! It worked out well, but cost a little bit extra.Overall, I highly suggest this purchase. It's been a (literal) game-changer at my table, and I suggest it for any up-and-coming DM's who want to provide a little more visualization for their players!

These are great. Cutting them out is a pain but whatever.They are thick and laminated. They work really well. I don't have the basic set so there are some things I wish I had that aren't included in the cursed lands set. There are also several things where there are multiple copies of a tile that probably don't need multiple copies. But overall its good value and a very useable product.

I got these for dnd with kids and they are everything they say they are, though I do wish there was some way to keep them from sliding around but that would not stop me from buying them. our game has moved on to using digital maps but my 9 year old loves to use these to play on her own.

Over all the pieces are great. They've been a great help in setting up campaigns. They work well with basicly any maps from other manufacturers. Only thing that would have been nice is either perforations on the pages, so that I didn't have to cut out everything, especially the hundreds of tiny 2×2 pieces, or just having precut packs of shrink wrapped pieces, rather than sheets. Especially for the larger rooms and things where it was only the one thing for 90% of the page with 1/2 an inch border that still needed to be cut out seemed unnecessary and wasteful. A lot of access bordering to throw out after cutting. But a minor complaint from my sore hand, over all a good quality purchase.

I love it. Really handy. Just know that there is a lot of cutting to do,but it's worth it. This volume 1 set is the best set for RPG. There are three types of setting in this : wilderness, town and dungeon. Also I love the heroes and monsters. I wish there were more of those. I would love a set of ships and ocean stuff but not any hell stuff.

This was a hard item to buy but I am so glad I did. The artwork is awesome and the variety of items, rooms and creatures is top notch. I spent a few hours cutting them out but it was so worth it. Order a 1” or more three ring binder and some clear pocket pages to store these in.I used these for my game that weekend and was very impressed with storage and transport. Took 10 minutes to setup and break down the game board. The group really enjoyed the look of the tiles on the board.I will be buying more of the sets. I highly recommend if you are not interested in buying, making and transporting terrain or you just want to have more terrain with versatility.

love this box set you need to be careful when cutting it out but its great for putting down quick and easy to put away

This is as advertised, and I am pleased with the quality. I will agree with some other reviews that it is a bit of a pain to cut out all the pieces, but you can do so as you need them. Personally, I am cutting them all out right away and sorting them by category in Ziploc bags. Cutting can be difficult on some pieces because the lines are not always terribly visible (such as on a green grass background) but you can usually flip the sheet over and see them more easily on the reverse side. There are a few pieces that have no lines at all, however.My only other small complaint is that not all the pieces seem to be to the same scale, thought I could be mistaken since I haven't really compared them all.Overall, I am very satisfied.

A must-have for any DnD DM

Great quality product. Lots of choice, I have had fun using it in my campaign. Will purchase other products in the future.
