TravPack-30L Top Rated Best Lightweight Travel Backpack in USA- Handy Foldable & Durable Hiking Camping Daypack for Men Women & Children-Water Resistant for Outdoor Sports and active lifestyle (Black) Review: Perfect For Hiking, School & Everyday!! - First I bought one. Then 2 more!! This is an attractive, semi-durable, roomy, lightweight, practical item. Semi-durable bc you're not going to use this to haul heavy or very sharp items. It's a petite version of a normal size backpack, but not so small that it wouldn't lend itself to more practical uses. Additionally, the arm straps could, but may not, handle extremely heavy loads. IMO, it's not intended for an "only" pack on extended stay, week-long hiking trips, or climbing Mt Everest. As an add-on, definitely!! The snaps are plastic, not metal. My intention for use, originally, was hiking/camping. Once I got it, I wanted to use one as an everyday purse. So I got another color, and am using it for a roomy purse with sufficient pockets for papers, makeup, extra jacket/sweater, kindle, whatever "stuff" I need, etc. Also great for day trips, flea markets, craft festivals, biking, school, sports activities, gym bag, groceries, concerts (if they allow backpacks, some don't), emergency kit for car, baby supplies, pet needs, ....anything! While this is water resistant and I haven't put wet items in, I'd suggest keeping a plastic bag inside to use, if necessary, for swimsuits, wet diapers, and what not. I am short, and have back, neck, and shoulder issues. I have no issues with this pack. It balances perfectly whether using over both shoulders or hanging from one. Sorry, Vera Bradley, you've been replaced!!!! When the vendor followed up to ask how I liked it, I responded, "I don't like it, I LOVE it!!!" Speaking of vendor, I had some special requests, and they are so responsive, personable, and aim to please. So why a 3rd pack??? My daughter travels stateside and overseas for work and pleasure. Fits great under airplane seat. I didn't want mine sprouting legs and running off with her, lol!! So I bought her one as a gift!! Dodged that bullet!! Ha ha ha! The price, quality, practicality and dependability of vendor, makes this a great gift option. It's gender and age neutral. Children, teens, hipsters, genX, yuppies, mid-life crisis participants, elderly (hang it on walker if you have one!!), etc. Looks good on everyone. I'm sure I'll be getting more for other purposes. Get yourself one, or two, or three, or....... Review: Good travel backpack - I was in the market for an ultralight travel backpack and was struggling with getting this backpack or getting an even lighter weight one. I chose this one because it has the extra bells and whistles like the extra straps, the sternum strap, and lots of pockets at the expense of increased bulk and weight. The material is thicker than I expected. I was expecting parachute thin like the sea to summit backpacks but this one is slightly thicker so it should be tougher and I would think it would last longer than thinner material. Something I must have missed in the description is that the zippers are waterproof! They're the kind that uses a rubber flap to seal against rain and if I had known that, I would have bought this backpack in a heartbeat. The folded size is definitely bigger than stated in the description. The 8.5 in x 8.5 in is about right, but the thickness is more like 3 inches. I'm sure you can squish it down to 1.2 in, but in it's natural state, it's 3 inches. The stated unfolded size is about right. One minor problem was that the shoulder straps were fed through the buckle the wrong way so they didn't stay cinched down and the straps kept sliding all the way to the end. This was fixed easily by feeding the straps through the buckle the right way. If yours comes this way, I'm sure there are diagrams online that show how to do this. Overall, I think this will be an excellent backpack for traveling. Edit: 3-2-16. I had a chance to use this backpack for a business trip a few weeks ago and found that the top grab handle had torn out taking with it part of the shoulder strap. Keep in mind that I hadn't used this backpack up until this point and I don't even remember pulling on that handle. I contacted the seller and they responded extremely quickly. All they wanted was a picture of the damage and once I emailed that to them, they sent a replacement backpack right away. The seller is top notch and I would definitely buy from them again.

TravPack-30L on the streets of NYC and the waters of Biscayne Bay
Recently received my TrimFitLite backpack. Before taking it out to work with me, I examined it carefully and was impressed with its fine materials and workmanship. It's very light, yet very well made. As a professional filmmaker, I put my gear through hard labor in all kinds of unusual situations and circumstances from shooting on city streets to mountain tops and deserts. So I put it right to the test and took it out on a music video shoot I was assistant directing. Not just any shoot-- but one that took place entirely on the water. The band performed their song to playback while riding waverunners in the bay in the shadow of the downtown Miami Skyline. I and my new TrimFitLife backpack were out on the water from sun up to sundown and I stuffed it with a number of small tech devices, cables, spare batteries, paper notes, sunscreen, snacks and water to be readily at hand for me. Depending on the moment, I was either wearing the pack or dropping it down on the deck somewhere if I had to get into the water or up on the fly rig we constructed. It worked well all day long and kept my most needed items right next to me. Very Useful features to me were: the grab loop that allowed me to hang it wherever there was a hook or the like nearby; the waterproof zippers; the numerous well-sized pockets that were great to separate snack items from tech items; and, most useful to me was the CHEST STRAP, which kept the pack from flopping around when I had to wear it while running or doing strenuous activities like, maneuvering from boat to boat or working on the fly rigs above the deck. Great, low profile backpack, guys! I am even using it more conventionally, like when I don't want to take my larger, heavier full-size backpack around NYC with me for running around to parks & activities. This includes day to day meetings, and most recently, to carry my laptop & notes on trips to my accountant. (thankfully tax day's over and that won't be happening for awhile.) Right now, after about a month of use, the TrimFiltLite appears to be a well-designed product that's made from quality materials. I'll report back in the future to see how well it wears under my, often rough, demands. Suggestions to the design team: a small, thin and light, foam insert that slips in when you want to protect computers, tablets, etc. some kind of firmer bottom insert, that can be used to make a flat support for the bag when needed.

Nice pack for a day trip
Nice pack for a day trip. A bit thin and smaller than i expected but for the price and use it was adequate. If i wanted a more substantial one it would have been many times the price of this one. It does pack away easily so i can take it along in my jacket and open it up if i need it. Its not padded but again it served the purpose.

The best, well priced travel back pack ever
The best, well priced travel back pack ever! The back pack is made of quality material, ample pockets and compartments for storage only adds to the value of this pack. We are traveling abroad now and it has proven to be the best pack for the beach, hiking and everthing else. It is nice looking and the storage case it goes in is a perfect size tho for in your luggage. I highly recommend this for anyone looking for a day pack, beach pack or a useful smart looking carrier for everyday use!! I am considering purchasing another for my husband!!

I don’t recommend this product
I don’t recommend this product, it isn’t durable, the zipper on the front bag fail with a few times of use and begun to be stuck and didn’t close well, I can’t fold it again or store something in the front bag; it is too small to pack a day travel stuff, even if you pack few things. If you are looking for a real hiking backpack it isn’t an option. Now I use it as spare backpack in my car.

Great Travel Performer: Exceeds Expectations
I travel for a living and have piles of this type of bag in my closet. So, I bought this one. I really like this bag five stars so far. It performs perfectly. What I like best is: 1. Quality: fabric and stitching is excellent. The zipeers were tight and I was worried at first but they perform well and do the job. 2. Compartments. Well designed, located and super functional for wallet, extra power brick, wires and stuff. 3. Folds up super tight and small for placing into my bigger back pack on the plane. Once on out it comes and opens super easy. Design Great. 4. Big main compartment with inside sleeve perfect for my Surface Pro 4 and the deep water bottle pockets keep bottles in their place The only thing about the bag is the zippers just are not as smooth as I like, but better as it wears a bit. If anything goes it may be the material around the zippers as they pull hard on the system. It may be the weather stripping that waterproofs the bag. I totally love this bag and will buy a second backup for when this guy dies.

It worked great. I used it on our trip to WDW
It worked great. I used it on our trip to WDW. It was comfortable and light, and I have a bad shoulder and back. I carried everything I needed for the day.
