I've had one of these for about 10 yrs. Saw it on a baking show and loved the idea of having a measuring spoon specifically for measuring the same amount of yeast as in one of the little packets. But I buy yeast in bulk and store it in fridge, and it was tedious and time consuming to measure out 2 and 1/4 tsps of loose yeast. This little spoon takes care of that for me, making it efficient and fast. While teaching our teen grandson how to bake breads and pizza, he learned grandma's methods so indeed he wanted one of the spoons. I ordered it here on Amazon and gifted it to him to take home. His mother (my older daughter) finds herself "borrowing" it from her son whenever she bakes. It's a great tool for your baking supplies. Highly recommend it.

Perfect yeast spoon it equals a packet of yeast! And since I have 2 pounds of yeast this works for me now I can bake bread to my hearts content

This is the best 'do I really need this' thing that I own! I make bread for the household quite often and buy yeast in that little jar, not in the standard 2-1/4 tsp packets. The spoon delivers a packet's worth of yeast with one spoonful, vs. measuring the one teaspoon, second teaspoon, 1/4 teaspoon dips into the jar. Yes, really, how hard is that to do, but it's just so satisfying to measure it out with one spoon, it really does make me smile every time. Additionally, the spoon is terrific quality and design. It has a nice heavy weight to it, and is just easy to hold, feels good in your hand. If you like making bread, this is a great little thing to spoil yourself with.

This 2.25tsp is beautiful and well made and feels good in my hand. I tend to use approximately 2tsp for my loose tea, so this works delightfully for that purpose. I really like the teardrop shame and I may likely invest in a second one. Thanks!

I know it doesn’t seem like a big deal, other measuring spoons always have something on or in them because I’m baking. This is just a nice convenient thing to have, and for the price why not? I find most recipes call for one package of yeast, this measures one package of yeast. And it is very pretty, it’s stainless, it has a nice weight, It will last for years I’m so glad somebody thought about this. I intend to buy four more for all of the daughters and daughters in law.

Love this thing!! When I started baking my own bread regularly I couldn't believe there wasn't a remeasured 2.25 tsp out there. Turns out I was just searching with the wrong words. I still only found this one and one other and the other was twice the price. I do think the price of this spoon is a little much still (hence the 4 star) but it is so handy and makes my life easier so I would spend the money again if I had to. Made well and is sturdy. I wish the edges around the scoop were rounded a little more for comfort but other than that this is awesome! Update: I use this all the time and it is just like new. Makes my life so much easier!!

I liked the feel of the spoon and saves me from searching for two measuring spoons. Design flaw: it needs to have a hole in the handle as I hang up my utensils with small command hook inside my cupboard. Time saver.

The yeast measure arrived promptly and, even though I have yet to actually use it, I am very pleased. It is obviously well made and the measure (1 1/4 teasps yeast) is accurate. Time will prove its endurance but as of now, it looks to be up to the task. As well, it is actually "pretty" , not a description one usually makes about a spoon but it is appropriate now. Oh yes, the price is also perfect.
