RaceFace T2 Tailgate Pad Black, L/XL

I looked at several bike racks for my car but they were all expensive and labor intensive, or would have damaged the finish. So I started looking at options for my truck. I researched three or four types (again all expensive and/or labor intensive) before coming across this one. It appeared to be cost-effective, safe for the bikes, safe for the truck, and easy to install- almost too good to be true. Super glad I decided to take a chance on it!! It takes a few minutes to adjust it the first time, but from then on it only takes about five minutes to install/remove. It takes even less time to secure the bikes in the bed of the truck, and once they’re in place they don’t move. It was a perfect fit too, for my older F150. I couldn’t be happier. I live in a place with weather extremes, so I don’t leave it on all the time- but it’s so easy to take on and off that it really doesn’t matter. I just keep it in storage with the bikes until I need it. Highly recommend!!!!

Looks great! L/XL size fits well on my Tundra. On and off in a few minutes. I took some time getting it set, but now it’s off and on easy. I’ve only loaded three bikes at once, but had plenty of room for more if I get more friends. Soft on the inside so I’m not worried about my tailgate. Bikes ride comfortably and don’t move around. Velcro straps seem up to the task. Backup camera has plenty of visibility, and internal soft pieces (top and bottom of the cutout) move around to adjust for that. Some vignetting, but not annoying. Cheaper and easier than a rack that fits in the tow receiver. Looks cooler too.

This tailgate pad was highly recommended on YouTube reviews. Bought it to transport our new e-bikes and it protected my tailgate perfectly. Not one scratch. Looks like it was tailor made for my Toyota Tundra. It fit perfectly and it looked great. Great value for the money and it got the job done. It does what it was designed to do and does it well. If you're in the market for one of these definitely give this one a look.

I installed on my 2021 F150 in July 2022 and haven't taken it off since. No issues yet with material fading from the sun or wind damage. I'd say the claim that it holds 6 bikes is a bit of a stretch. 4 bikes is pretty tight. There would be some major frame/fork collisions with 6 bikes at once. but it definitely holds 4 bikes well without collisions. I gave it four stars because it's a little bit of a hassle to install & the fit is not quite right on my 2021 F150 tailgate. Raceface needs to sell one that fits the new wide-top, style tailgates. I'll get a photo up soon.

Built very well, 4 straps feed down and up to secure it on. Use needle nose pliers to help grab straps. I installed solo but if need 2 people can install easier. There is also 2 reinforced rings so you can run a cable and lock pad to truck. Size fits perfect for full-size install mine in F150. Appearance looks good I like the black. Price is good !

I have had this on my truck for about 3 years now without ever taking it off and it looks brand new. Other than some dirt marks from loading my muddy bike. Super great product

I have a 2018 F150 and a Specialized Levo ebike. I wanted bike mount to hold bike stable Was disappointed and returned it. First, this is a pain to install. Slipping straps under tailgate was difficult and took a lot of time and finesse. Fit the tailgate fine once installed. Second, my bike has a short mud guard on front wheel. Needs to be removed before bike can be mounted. Third, once bike is mounted, it leans back and forth slightly; enough to cause abrasion under the down tube over time with dust and grime. It would require additional stopping in he mid or rear of the bike to secure without sway. Too much hassle. Decided to bite the bullet and get a hitch mount bike rack. Quicker to install and mount and even locks the bikes in more securely without bike damage.

Like the fact that this the only tailgate pad that fits any newer full size truck like Silverado, Ford and Dodge RAM. Six straps help to couture the pad to the odd shape of these new truck tailgates. The four main straps keep it more secured than the three straps found on some other pads. Grommets allow for securing the pad and bikes to the truck via (not included) chain or lanyard which I will be buying soon at the hardware store. The convertible/removable pads that allow for backup camera/tailgate handle access is a perfect solution to the problem. I am very happy with the material, fit and finish of this pad.

This is a really great one, but it does take a bit to break in. I drive a Lifted Ford F-150 2023, and it accommodates for my back up cameras and backup light.
