Rothco Womens Cargo Pants

For reference: I'm a size 8-10 or 29/30; 8's for sizes that run large or are super stretchy (e.g. Kut from the Kloth) and 10's for things with less stretch or a closer fit (e.g. Sanctuary size 29 or 30 and Ann Taylor size 10). I got these pants in olive in a size medium and they fit as expected. The zipper/drawstring combo is useful because the waist is too large for me, although not significantly. I'm pretty straight up and down, so someone with a narrower waist might need to cinch them in more. The quality of the fabric and workmanship is excellent; they're twill, but the fiber blend (cotton and raime) is relatively soft, compared to other combat-type pants I've had that were all cotton. The pockets are deep and plentiful. The only drawback is the length, which others have noted. The inseam on size medium is 33.5". I'm nearly 5'8" and have long legs, but they have to be cinched tightly at the bottom so I don't trip on them. The extra length gives them a harem-y look, which doesn't bother me but you can always have them shortened if it's not to your taste. These are great for gardening, dog walking, and just hanging around the house. They don't show dirt, are super comfortable and are a big step up from my ratty old sweats.

The style is great, the size was a little off for me. I read that everyone said they run big, so I bought an XL. I wear a size 18 in jeans. I am a curvy 18 with hips, thighs and a behind. So I tried on the pants and it fit perfect everywhere except the waist. The waist was tight for me. BUT the pants have a draw string. I just don't button them and use the draw string to tighten the top and now the pants fit great. I recently wore them in the heat 90-100 degree weather and they kept me really cool. I guess since they are baggy my legs were nice and fresh. Very comfy very cute.

These pants are just what I was looking for . I do construction work . I was looking for a pair of cargo style pants with lots of pockets for different items that I don't want to put in my tool pouch . The adjustable drawstring waist is perfect because my weight goes up and down . It doesn't dig into my waist at all . They're roomy enough to wear long johns with in winter . Love the drawstrings at the bottom of the leg openings because they can be cinched in to adjust the length , and also keep cold air and ticks out . For reference, I'm 5 ft tall , female . I have a 27 inch waist , 30 inch circumference 2-3inches below my belly button ( this area is where the waist of the pants sits for me ). I have 33.5 inch hip measurement . These pants are easy to bend and kneel in while working. Plenty of room in the crotch area ( I hate working in pants that have a binding crotch area ). They seem very well made . My boyfriend wears Rothco BDU pants . That's what led me to this brand . The pants are also flattering, despite being baggy . Being a woman , I prefer flattering clothing . Even if I'm just working. They don't create a diaper look in the butt area . They drape in such a way as to flatter the hiney ! LOL . Hope this review was helpful. I ordered the XXS( extra extra small ). They're a tad long on me , but the drawstrings on the leg openings fix that :-)

These looked really cute in the picture. I got them and thought they were cute. However, I am 5'8" tall and when I put them on, they were 6 inches too long. Okay, so I hiked up the legs and tied the shoelace at the bottom of the leg to make them shorter. (Yes, they have a sort of cord that's like a shoelace about 3/4 of the way around the bottom so you can cinch up the ankles. The problem is that the "shoelace" doesn't go all the way around the opening of the leg, so there's a big pleat of fabric somewhere around the leg when you cinch them up.) Problem is, they bunched up and the legs ballooned out to where they looked like clown pants. They fit in the seat and kind of in the waist, but they are too short-waisted and felt like they would fall off, too. The legs are huge! I sent them back post-haste....as fast as I could. They looked hideous!

They're cute, but I wish I hadn't listened to the other reviewers telling me to size down! I wear a 14 in jeans and would normally choose XL, but since other reviewers indicated that they're very large, I took a chance and got the L. I can barely squeeze into them, so I'm exchanging for XL. Other than that, though, I think they'll be great. The color is very nice, the fabric looks very sturdy, and they're really long - I'm 5'9", and they touch the floor (not a problem, with the ankle ties - I'm just not used to finding pants online that are long enough!) EDIT: yesterday I received a pair of XL pants and they are HUGE. They're also a completely different style. The (too small) size L hit at the hip and had a drawstring waist. The XL are really high waisted and have belt loops. I wonder if they sent me XL in a mans' size on accident? The previous pair were a more feminine cut. I needed them for this weekend, so will have to decide whether to squeeze into the tight pants with a pair of spanx, or belt the big pants and deal with a lot of bagginess.

I love this brand and fit of cargo pants! I now have them in every colour! Super high quality, washes incredibly well! My first pair I bought 5 years ago, have washed them a million times and I think they’ll last a million more years!
