Great kit for a very reasonable price. And Victor is a great company.

Don't know why Amazon continues to sell this item. The item is not as described on the packaging and this is in several of the other reviews. The Acetylene regulator will not fit a regular tank as it has a female fitting and not the normal male fitting. Had to replace fitting to use torch.

The Acetylene regulator actually does come with the correct fitting as stated in the product description. I myself did not catch this at first and I am a Welding Educator. True, the box does show a CGA 510 Acetylene regulator pictured...BUT the actual product picture taken in front of the box AND the product description specifically states that the fuel gas regulator is a G350-15-300 which translates into a CGA 300. When dealing with Acetylene regulators, there are around 4 different types....the 520, 510, 300, and the 200. The 510 will actually fit on propane cylinders as well. So, if you ordered this product and were dissapointed at first like I was, you actually DID get what you ordered and my suggestions are to 1) return it and get a kit with the CGA 510 if that is what you need. 2) purchase a separate regulator for the cylinder you have. 3) If you rent the Acetylene cylinder from a welding supply store, ask to exchange the cylinder for one that fits this regulator. 4) order an adapter fitting such as the Forney 87809 CGA 510 to 300 which is around $30 or the Western CGA 510 Male to CGA 300 Male adapter that is around $10.

I ordered this torch and when it came in, it had the wrong fitting on the acetylene regulator. I sent it back for replacement, thinking maybe it was a quality control issue when assembled. when I received the replacement, it had the wrong fitting as well. The box clearly shows different fittings one male and one female. haven't decided weather to send back for a refund. I hate the idea of buying more parts to make it work. I forgot to mention, I ordered a Performer 250 first, and when I got it, the regulator leaked. I wish I could give less than 1 star.

The torch is high quality, but the customer support form this seller is the standout. ESAB included the wrong torch head in this kit, and Eddie's made sure it got corrected quickly. They even through in a rosebud for my trouble.

Im a big time victor product fan i hope to get years of use like my last victor torxh set

One part was wrong and wouldn't fit the torch, but Amazon took care of it when I called them. Overall, good experience with issues addressed in a timely manner.

I have had this product for only 8 months and its faulty. Gas is leaking around the turn knob and has caught fire twice. It is now unusable for safety reasons. Victor is known for good quality tools hence the reason I purchased it over a cheap one. I cannot see any way to contact the company about it.

I relied on the Victor name/reputation and while this unit is of decent quality overall, some aspects disappoint. As an example the picture on the box shows a male fitting on the acetylene gauge but the unit is actually has a female fitting. Where most acetylene tanks are set up for the male fitting, an adaptor or fitting change is required. In my case the box had obviously been returned or opened prior to my receiving as the gauges were only partially wrapped/protected and bouncing around the box. They seem OK, you should be aware the hoses are U.S. made but the other parts are Chinese, I should have bought from a local supplier rather than Amazon so I could have verified more prior to purchase.
