Love the smell, the hold. Great hairspray for the price.

PLEASE READ BEFORE YOU BUY. For over a decade I used and swore by the Salon Grafix Mega Hold hair spray - it WAS the best I had ever tried because it came out as a nice full mist which spread evenly and perfectly held my hair in place without weighing it down too much. When it came time to re-order now early in 2026, I saw the review score was lower than I expected but didn't think anything of it and ordered a 4-pack as usual. When it arrived, the bottles sounded like there was a liquid sloshing around in them when you'd shake them, almost like water in a water bottle which had never been the case before. The first time I used one of the new batch, it came out in a much more concentrated stream no matter how much I shook it, nothing resembling mist whatsoever. In digging into the reviews and comparing an old bottle to the new one, I see that they changed the formula of the hair spray at some point in the last year or so. The old bottle features "Alcohol Denat." as the first ingredient with "Water" coming in third. On the new bottle, these two ingredients are swapped with "Water" listed as first and "Alcohol Denat." as third amongst other changes to the ingredients. The result is it gets applied to your hair completely unevenly, mats your hair down, and generally makes it look awful. I thought I maybe got a bad one-off bottle but all 4 are the same. On top of that there's some BS loophole that says you can't get a refund so I'm stuck with these bottles I'll never use. I cannot believe the company would test and approve this change knowing how awful and ineffectual the formula is now. The difference in bottles also reveals there's a new distributor. Clearly they're trying some cost cutting measures but I can't imagine this new version is sustainable given how useless it is. DO NOT BUY THIS CHEAP, UNRETURNABLE, WATERED DOWN GARBAGE!!!

It's great used forever that's why I keep buying it it has GREAT hold even in humid weather will continue to buy it the unscented is great also

Local store did not continue to stock or were out. Went to trusty Amazon and in a couple of days had my purchase in hand. Product holds hair in place pretty much all day, not sticky and a lot pleasant scent, sprayers worked.

I don't know what happened, but this is not the same formula. It is practically all water and comes out like a fire hose and doesn't dry. My return window closed, so I am stuck with six cans I cannot use. I had no reason to test it. I bought this batch to save. Then, when I needed it, I discovered the problem. Should I test spray every can when it arrives, so I can return something that doesn't work, or suit the description? Is there a zero rating I can use for the review. I have used this a product by name for years. But now it is not the same product. Nor does it spray the same. Others have the same opinion. I will not ever buy this product again! Furthermore, I called the company by the number on the can. I pointed out the old formula had first ingredient, alcohol . Now the new formula has first ingredient, water. A representative had no compassion, and no understanding, simply stating, "The new formula will not change!" Don't pay for pressurized water in a can to spray on your hair and ruin it, just before you leave the house!

Purchased Salon Graphix freeze hairspray. Formula has been changed. It does not spray in a fine mist anymore. It comes out in clumps and makes hair look wet. The old formula worked. Why change it?? Now I have six cans that is worthless to me.

Best hairspray for keeping hair in place

This hairspray holds your style in place all day without being sticky or too heavy. Best of all, you can actual comb through it to style your hair for the second day. I have used lots of hairsprays over the last 40 years, and this one is my favourite! There are more expensive hairsprays, and hairsprays that do a lot of advertising, but they don't work as well. My local drugstores changed ownership, and they dropped this brand. I was thrilled to discover that it was available on Amazon.

Love the product and live the service.

Great product although it leaves a residue on counters and floors. I suggest when using you put a towel on the counter.

Best hairspray ever!!!

I have fallen in love with this hair spray since 2014, the first time I went to California. Now this is the only way I can get it in Canada. I love it so much. It saved my hairstyle. And the smell is perfect for men.
