Delivery was prompt, product is a good value. Fit chart is worthless, so you have to find someone in the comments that is about your size. I got XL, weigh 185pounds, 5ft9in, heavy legs(NOT chicken legs), 34inch waist, 30 inch inseam. Plenty of room for expansion in the XL waist for my size. XL Length is plenty long for my inseam. These are NOT road rider "tights", but more like a relaxed fit for road or average mtn bike fashion with room for thin crash pads under, even with my stocky legs. I will likely use them more for XC skiing as they are quite warm, with occasional cycling at the limits of my feet and hand temps for cycling. Zippered ankles are excellent. I will be wearing them with sports suspenders to keep them from hiking down. I would recommend them for people that want a relaxed fit, very warm, long pants for winter sports. Edit: 4 rides in low 40degF, 2 mtn bike, 2 road ride. For the $31 price, I am very impressed by these. Definitely not goretex at that price, but the front cuts the wind nicely. I like that they are NOT overly warm, combined with being thin enough to wear over padded cycling shorts without getting the loaded diaper effect. They work well with thin XC mtn bike knee pads, either under or over the pants. They don't seem to flap around on a road bike, but they are a "relaxed" fit, which I happen to like. I just don't think about them while on the bike, which is a good sign. The suspenders work well with them. These are probably not warm enough for when our local XC ski days that drop into the teens or single digits(deg F), but would work well for "higher" snow sports temperatures. I have already recommended them, and they seem to be pretty popular in the Bend Oregon Fall/Winter mtn bike scene.

I am rating these pants 5 stars based on my initial out of the box impression. After I looked at the size guide I bought the 2XL to fit my 34 waste and decent size thighs. They were definitely too big in just about every respect. My guess is that the 2XL inseam is about 32-33 and the waste is about a 36 or bigger. Even with those measurements I could have kept the 2XL (the extra length sits on your sneaker / shoe ok and I could have tied the waste tie tighter) except the crotch area dropped or 4 inches too low when I wore the pants on my hip. So I reordered the XL and they are a near perfect fit. The waste is comfortable and probably can accommodate up to a 35 waste or slightly more but they sit on my hips comfortably and do not sag at all beneath my crotch. The inseam is probably around 30 inches. The sit on my sneakers slightly. The only other impression I have (other than they look just like the picture) is they are very warm. Keeping in mind that I generate a lot of heat when I run I will not be able to wear them unless it is at least under 40 degrees. I'll have plenty of opportunity for that this winter so I'll report back with my recommendations for the optimum temperature range for me. I have no intention to use these for running in the rain as they aren't waterproof (and don't pretend to be). Just how much they might keep out the wind on the bicycle I don't know but I might give it a try if I get a chance to ride when the temp is in the 40s. UPDATE 12/23/16: I have run several times in this cold November / December in these pants. I will probably never know their true bottom range of temperature. I have run in 32 degrees with 22-25 mph wind resulting in a windchill of 20 degrees (what an idiot - it was snowing too!), 28 degrees with a little wind and windchill of 20 degrees and other times with temps in the 20s but little wind. I have never felt a chill on my legs even when I start the run. Since I don't like to run in temps less than 20 I will never find the temp at which I would need a wicking or other first layer. I still haven't tried them on the bike. Here's a thought after wearing them a couple dozen times - they are designed with cycling in mind. The zippered pocket openings are on the side of the pant and make for easy access when you are on the bike seat. The leg bottoms are tapered enough that my guess is there will be no chain issues. I hope to get a ride in at some point this winter if I can get a 45 degree day with clear roads.

This review is on fit only. I bought one pair for my husband and one pair for me to wear while cycling. We have not worn them yet while cycling so I cannot review performance. However, I wanted to comment on the sizing since I read so many reviews about sizing being off. I agree. For your reference, my husband is a 36-38 waist, approx. 220 lbs with a 32" inseam and he normally wears a size XL in sweatpants. The 4XL [XXXXL] in these pants fit him just right. Also, I have a 33" waist, 43" hips and a 32" inseam and normally wear a womens size 12 jean. The XL in these pants fit me just right. Of course the crotch area is a little bit baggy since these are cut for men, but it is not enough to really bother me. Usually pants are about 1" too long on me since I have shorter legs with a longer torso. These pants were just the right length so they might be a tad short for someone with normally long legs. Overall, the sizing is small and not represented of standard U.S. sizing so its best to take a shot [as I did] and go up in sizing and try them. I recommend going by the weight in pounds they give rather than the size mark. The quality of the fabric seems to be very good. The outside of the fabric is extremely water proof as water just beads up and runs off. The inside is a short fleece with a waffle pattern and seems to be very warm. I was heating up while trying them on in the house. I'm not sure how breathable they will be while riding but I'll find out. At least I know I will be very warm and dry. I just hope I don't sweat without the material being able to breath. Also, I turned them inside out and washed them in cold water then hang dry. Also, they are obviously made in China as I could not read any of the tags as all of the print with the exception of the size mark, was printed in Chinese characters and, maybe that explains the sizing being off.

I LOVE these pants!! My ex had them and highly recommended them - I got a pair and couldn’t be more happy. They’re super soft and warm. I had a hard time deciding what size to get and I ordered them too big the first time (2XL). I’d say they’re actually pretty true to size - I’m 5’1” and 180lbs, XL fit very comfortably. I love wearing them on bike rides or just hanging out at home, even to sleep in! Update: storm of the century up here in NE. I wore these with some knee high wool socks (on the thinner side) and nothing else underneath. Was outside shoveling for over two hours and then took a break to chill and drink some tea and admire my work afterwards. I wasn’t cold at all, actually I was quite comfortable and enjoyed sitting and watching the snow for a while. These are honestly the best pants I’ve ever owned. I recommend them to everyone and am totally going to get myself another pair. Also I’ve gained a little weight (it shows quickly because I’m so short) and they still fit comfortably, I like them slightly loose. 100/10 will buy them again.

If you have read any of the reviews, or looked at the sizing chart you are already aware of the strange sizing on these pants. I'm 6' tall, have a 36" waist and weigh 235lbs. I read every one of these reviews trying to find somebody who was close to my size. I happened to read a couple of reviews that suggested either the XXXL or the XXXXL size would fit. Since I live in Minnesota and planned on doing a lot of winter biking, I went with the XXXXL size with the thought that I would most likely wear a pair of expedition-weight long underwear underneath when temps drop below zero. In addition, I used the "contact the seller" option and the manufacturer confirmed that this would be the size I should go with. (They got back to me within 24 hours....Thanks 4ucycling!). I received the pants promptly and they fit just a little loose (as expected) but have a draw-string to cinch them tight around my waist and fit just fine with room to wear long underwear when needed. The pants themselves are lined and seem to be well made. All zippers worked and I appreciate that they have zippered cuffs on the legs. The reflective parts on the pants will be of use when I ride at night (short Minnesota days in the winter!). I had a chance to test them out during our fist snow fall this year, and they kept me warm and I had no issues with overheating while pedaling my fat bike through fresh snow. Overall I am extremely pleased with these pants and do not hesitate to recommend them at this price point.

These are great, although the sizing is a little bit tricky. I ordered three pairs (XL, 2XL, and 3XL), assuming that at least one each would fit me and my husband (I am 5'10" and about 170 lbs, he is 6' and about 200 lbs). I ended up keeping all of them - I like the XL for xc skiing (no base layer on mild-to-warm days - I wore them with a base layer at about 35 degrees and was sweltering by the end of my route) and the 2XL with a base layer for cold xc ski days or dry spring alpine ski days. I haven't worn them in a strong wind yet, but the fronts seem fairly wind and water resistant (water will soak in with pressure, but melting snow beaded off well). The backs are very stretchy which makes for a forgiving fit (NOT water resistant nor intended to be - I wore them alpine skiing when it was warm and snowed unexpectedly and my butt was soaked from the lift). They are easy to move in and warm. I think they will be a great alternate to running tights for hiking/running on cold days, where a base layer is too warm but tights alone leave me with cold thighs. The construction appears to be sturdy. Great purchase.

January 6, 2017 Boise, Idaho. The reason I am putting the date and where I live is because of the temperature when I tested these athletic pants by 4ucycling. First and foremost, it is -7 outside right now (without wind) and I wore these pants without any base layering and although I was not riding my bike (I am a very avid cyclist) they kept me warm while I was outside drinking coffee. I was not moving around a lot but still, they kept me warm for the most part in such frigid temperatures and this is important because if I was moving, I could have stayed out longer. My face was getting cold so I went in. January 4th, 2016 we had the most snow in Idaho's history and I was wearing these pants to shovel snow with no base layering and they kept me quite warm and the temperature never got above freezing for the past few weeks here. On January 4th, these pants kept me very warm to the point where once I got inside, I had to take them off due to me sweating so much. I am 5'8" and 150 lbs, 32" waist and 30" inseam. I bought the large and they fit good. Not tight but these are not "riding tights" so it may be a good thing and the length is a little long but that is ok especially once I start riding in them they will not make me look like Erkle. For warmth, I say these pants by 4ucycling are an excellent value but it is too early to tell how they will hold up to the rigors of constant riding ( Very few people will ride in -7 temp.). I would highly recommend these pants especially for the value and I have tested all kinds big name brand clothing.

Really, if they are CYCLING pants, wouldn't blocking wind be sort of part of the package? I mean, maybe not windPROOF like plastic, but at least shed some wind? Unless you cycle inside (then why "winter" pants??) cycling involves actual wind plus the airflow from your speed. I've had some thick fleece pants/tops that shed some wind, so that was what I was expecting. Nope, not with these, these don't do that. Wind comes right through. Now, that said, they ARE nice warmup pants for the price. They fit well and seem intentionally cut to allow movement, like they are intentional, not like some budget brand clothes that are haphazardly thrown together to make something that "looks" like pants but doesn't move with you. These are very comfortable to sit around in and move around in. I'd like them for just lounging, actually. But not in the wind. They do feel warm ... when not moving and there's no wind ... so insulation against radiant loss seems decent ... just not with airflow - convective loss. I think I'll use these as part of a layered system. They will probably be a nice mid- layer, above a tight-fitting base layer and a thin shell layer on top. And they might add just the right "boost" over tights when temp drops below what the tights can handle. So not unhappy with these. I'm not returning because the price was decent (sale) and i think I can use them. Just going to have to keep shopping for an actual pair or two of ACTUALLY windproof cycling pants.

I went a size larger than usual because I wanted to ensure they were long enough. I am 6'2" tall, weigh 195 lbs, have a 32" waist and 34" inseam. I have an athletic build, with larger quads and gluts. I usually have to order pants one size larger if there aren't any tall sizes available, so I wasn't too concerned with ordering an XL this time, but the waist and but fit great. The tapered leg fits snug but not tight, as I was hoping. The length is just long enough. I would have liked the pants to be an inch longer, but they will work fine, since there aren't any tall sizes. Overall, the quality looks great, and they fit better than I was expecting. The material is soft, semi-windproof, and a little stretchy. The elastic waist is comfortable and snug enough that I don't need to use the drawstring. The zippered leg bottoms are nice to get my big feet through. I am happy with my purchase and would recommend this product to others looking for an athletic pant that has some stretch, warmth and wind resistance.
