Great buy! Perfect solo, one person set up tent.
I sure did not expect to love this tent as much as I did after one use. My first set up out of the box was at the beach, at 4pm, during some ridiculously heavy sundowners. This thing was so easy to go up it’s almost like I was mocking the wind. I was inside and waiting for the wind phase to pass within minutes(20min max) That said, I would start with the car attachment first (secures the structure and everything else is easy). Also, the singly opens on multiple sides so, again attach the sides that says, vehicle first. Held up during the wind and I got and;ight drizzle my last morning - no leaks - no moisture inside. I waterproofed and seam sealed after I cleaned it out when I got home. I used sandbags inside the tent at the stake point and used buckets with sand bags for the canopy tie downs. Worked like a champ. I’ll still use my 10 man Coleman undone for the fancy “special guest” camping but this is my new solo mission, bonsai on the fly got a last minute cancellation weekend camping trip. It will live in my car. The solar lights were a harbor freight impulse buy. They were awesome, too

Get this model for "crossover" and hatchback vehicles
Subaru Forester + Sportz Dome tent = win at car camping. I spent a great deal of time deliberating which "SUV tent" to purchase, and finally decided that the Sportz by Napier brand looked like the best bet. They have several choices, and I finally decided to get the "small one" because I was planning some solo camping or trips with DH. Only after I ordered this one did I find the excellent company website sportzbynapier, where I found that their dome style is for "hatchbacks and CUVs", whereas the others are for SUVs. (except the truck ones, but that is obvious). So I guessed right. Maybe knowing this will save someone the trouble of trying to decide. I just got the tent today, and had my son who has lots of tent camping experience, basically set it up for me for the first go round, so this is a preliminary report. Overall we decided that it is a very good tent, well thought out and with good features, extremely tall and plenty roomy. We wish that the company had waterproofed the tent, but at least they did include instructions for that, so don't forget to do it. It has an extra rain tarp that shuts the thing down quite tightly, but the windows of the tarp roll neatly back out of the way, so might as well set it up that way to begin with, then you will be prepared in case the weather turns bad. He set the thing up in a few minutes on the first try without instructions. I believe it will be challenging for me to do it alone, but the process is pretty straightforward. Car-to-tent camping is a great idea as I can sleep off the ground on my new perfectly fitting Coleman SUV mattress; and I can stow all my gear in the tent and have it out of my way, but close to me at the same time. I'll have plenty of room to hang out or do whatever in my tent, and, if you have a group, you'll have room to sleep four in it nicely, too. It is over seven feet tall, but you can see that it is designed that way because it stands next to your car with it's wide open hatch and the connector sleeve has to go up high over it. It cinches nicely around the car for a good fit. After we got it set up, we dragged the tent over to my son's big family SUV--a Nissan Pathfinder--to see if it would also fit there. It didn't. So if you have a "real" SUV, get the other style by Sportz. The Dome works well for Subarus and other crossovers and hatchbacks. Happy trails!

Great Tent to Interface with our Baja!
The tent is a perfect fit for our Subaru Baja and we love that it has two door choices to adapt to your camping spot. We can set-up or take-down the tent in about 10 -12 minutes, super easy. On our first trip out (mid-October), I was amazed that the tent moderated the temperature and blocked a chilly morning wind. It’s the perfect tent for us. By the 3rd time we put up the tent, three of the grommets at the base had fallen off (I have a grommet kit and installed new ones). Zippers seem, so far, to be of good quality.

Would recommend to anyone!
Very good product, easy set up, instructions are easy to follow. Bigger than I thought it would be. It rained lightly and had no issues with leaks. Unsure if it would hold up in a heavy storm but at that point I would not be camping.

Yes! It fits my Dodge Carvan ..
Love the ease of setting it up!!! Love that is has more than one opening.. Love that you can still close the hatch when tent is attached... Remember not to set up this until your tail pipe is cool and never start your car when attach.. I love that you can remove the car and you still have a fully operational tent.. One small hurdle is I have a trail hitch it has trouble fitting around this , trying to figure out if I can put a little bit of screen around it to ensure that mosquitos stay out... I am so thrilled with this I highly recommend it for people who love camping out of their van..

Poles broke
I really enjoyed this tent until the inner rope on the main Poles snapped as I got to my campsite. There's no way to replace the tent Poles, either. I will be looking at other tents next time, as I will have to figure out how to make these poles work in the meantime

Tent is good quality, good price when I bought it
This is a great tent and it has plenty of room, lots of screen mesh and seems to be very well made. The fabric, mesh and zippers are good quality and the poles seem sturdy. The walls can be screen or zip up the fabric panels for privacy or inclement weather. Plus complete coverage with the included rainfly which I did not put on. I assembled this tent on a sunny day with a slight breeze (windy would likely need 2 or more people) and it was not even up for 20 minutes so I can't comment on how it would do in rain. There are plenty of doors, even when attached to a vehicle. It's also nice that one can unzip the removable vehicle sleeve to convert the vehicle tent into a stand alone ground tent. It was a bit of a challenge to set it up by myself but I did get it up. Two people, I'm sure, no problem, but I usually camp alone with a big dog - no help from her. My plan was to use it with a small camper. It wasn't ideal for this because of the excess fabric where a rear SUV hatch would normally take up the extra fabric at the "vehicle sleeve" - this can bee seen in the attached photos. This would collect water if it rained and was generally a nuisance. The other issue was how to seal it underneath to keep bugs out. I wish it would have worked out better for me but there didn't seem to be an easy fix. On the whole, it was more of a pain than I hoped for, I sent it back. Not easy to repack for sure. I hope they provide a refund.

Great fit for my Prius
All doubts from reviews across several tents washed away on my first camping trip with this sweet tent. Snug fit to the car, no rain or bugs could get in, nice standup room and space, lots of options for open screens, with or without the rain fly cover, main door plus a side window opens like a door, ready access to the entire car, hatch can close to lock up while on a hike or swim, and purdy too.

A tent for across country trip in a SUV
We have not started our across Canada trip in our SUV yet, but have set up the tent in the backyard. Set up was easy and self explanatory and had it set up in about 15 min. by my self and we slept in the back of the SUV that night. I like the idea that there are two entrances that can be used, one opposite the rear of the SUV and one to the side, both entrances have covering that can be used as a awning ( I ordered a second set of awning poles as I intend to use both awnings at the same time. Packing up the tent was a breeze as well. I think we are going to enjoy our experience with the tent.

Great for Tesla Y
We used this tent for trip to Scottish highlands and it was great. It fits well for Tesla Y however we couldn’t open the boot fully but this was not a big deal. Tent is spacious and sturdy.

Awesome tent, easy set up! Even fits back in its bag!
Awesome tent!! Only took 10 minutes to set up and I managed to do it on my own, at night with a lantern. Allowed for a comfortable set up, with my self inflatable mattress in the back of the car. The attachment to the car fits well on my Hyundai ix35. I didn’t get it to completely seal though and the straps and hooks were a bit confusing and wouldn’t attach to my car door handles or anything really. But I guess it depends on the car and I could have tried harder lol. I was happy with the tiny gaps and we didn’t get any unwanted guests. I’ll try a bit harder next time and might get some strong magnets to seal, as others have suggested. The tent even fit back into the original bag (extended)! I haven’t tested it in poor weather and have only used for two nights. Overall, I love this tent! Looking forward to the next trip.

Amazing SUV tent
Easy to use. One person can put up. Felt more secure camping solo. Good quality and heaps of space.

Easy to set up....not sure how long the zippers will last, tent fabric pretty fair quality.
Loved the easy set up. This just over 5 ft. , 80+, female was able to set it up single handed first time. Roomy, sturdy, fit my Kia Soul perfectly. The zippers are questionable and need to be treated gently. No roof rails on my car so hold down with very strong magnets. Love that you can undo tent from car and use car if needed.
