Great Fun and Replay Value
This game is fun all around. I bought it to play with my kids, and it has given us hours of fun. You can play the story mode as Batman and Robin, going through three different stories that each feature five levels. Along the way, you acquire upgraded suits to wear, as well as using lego pieces to beuild new weapons and items to help you along the way. Each level has a boss character or two, and you get to square off against a motley assortment of Batman's enemies: Joker, Harlety Quinn, Bane, Scarecrow, Man-Bat, Two-face, Riddler, etc., etc., etc. Then, after you have beaten a level, you can go back and play it in freeplay mode, choosing from among any of the characters you've unlocked along the way. Typically, you unlock villain characters by defeating them in story mode, and other characters by purchasing them using coins you earn during gameplay. But once you've unlocked Arkham Asylum, you also open up a whole new set of campaigns featuring the bad guys, with new story modes specifically for the villains. Some levels you will need to complete multiple times to get all the things there are to get, because different characters have their own abilities and sometimes you need a certain character to get to a certain item. For this reason it never gets old replaying levels you've already beaten, because going through a previously beaten level with a new set of characters makes the whole experience feel fresh all over again. This gives the game tremendous replay value. You acquire hero packs and red bricks in these levels which are useful because the red bricks give you new options and cool tricks to try out during gameplay, and the hero packs go into the trophy room at Wayne Manor to build status representing the different levels you've beaten. It's all quite fun and makes it worth your while to replay old levels. And the humor... gotta love the humor. My little girl was cracking up at almost all of the cut scenes, as the characters often act silly and do silly things. This is such a fun game. We absolutely love it!

LEGO Batman is great!
First of all let me say that the "LEGO" games that I've played so far for the DS are great! My first encounter was Indiana Jones and then I got "LEGO Battles". (Both are excellent btw) I've read reviews on the Star Wars games etc., but i just haven't had the time to get into all of them. From what I've experienced so far, the "LEGO" series of games are well worth the investment. Because for one thing, they're FUN. You have to 'blow up the scenery' in order to succeed. The graphics, story lines, quests, characters and character movements and abilities are addicting. Especially Batman for the DS. There are Hero and Villain modes. Who wouldn't want to play the Joker and have Batman be your sidekick in Free Play mode? It's just a lot of fun. I do have to say that I've been a loyal follower of the Zelda series (always bought the newest Nintendo system because there was a new Zelda game...) but now I'm starting to lean towards the "LEGO" series. Great job Warner Brothers and TT Games! Thanks.

great bar a few things
Ok so i go tthis game so that my little sister and i can rot our brains out together haha. and it is a lot of fun. most of the missions are fun enough for an experienced person to have fun all the while a 10 yr old wont be lost int he dark. so overall the game is great and i would give it a, 8.5/10 for fun. however this game has 2 problems which i will expand on. the first and worst feature are the vehicle sections, these missions are absolutely HORRIBLE. i mean they are about as much fun as running my knuckles through a cheese grater, except i could only do that once, in contrast to the 6 vehicle sections. these sections have camera angles that seem to try as hard as possible to piss you off, you will need to go to a specific corner of the map to do a specific job but you cant because the bloody camera is busy staring at the shiny brick on the other side of the god forsaken map. On top of that every section is basically you doing all the work in the only ship that actually matters while the other ship flys around stealing coins then losing them. Now we played this in coop mode so we can avoid the thick dunce they call an AI, but that didnt help because the partner always gets stuck behind a building you didnt even know was jutting out because of the stupid camera angles. I love this game but the vehicle sections are absolutely DISGUSTING. the next and only other main issue i had was something i went over above, camera angles, but only in coop mode. It seems that if you have a certain job to do, which your partner cant help you with, instead of zooming in on you and letting your partner wallow int he corner of view, it zooms so you can see both of you and everything within a 5 mile radius of the person farthest from the job. i kid, it really isnt that bad because honestly 90% of the time the camera was perfectly fine and well rendered, but just be warned, twice, maybe thrice, its best for player 2 to drop out for you to get a better view, then drop back in. in the long run however, the horrifically made vehicle sections that should rot in a special place in he.ll are the only major issues with this game. other than that its superbly designed. the drop in drop out feature through out is a great idea, so when one person is taking a leak you can steal all the coins (muahahaha) the game is very well designed as far as difficulty goes, it keeps it at a fair level for kids while making it interesting for adults it keeps the same basic idea so you are rarely confused (if you are, you my friend are an idiot) but is never repetitive it has highly replayable, which you WILL do just to get the blasted minikits to prove you cant be outdone but a lego game and other than the parts mentioned above you will always be entertained, and i do recommend this to anyone, whether you are 10 (in which case i apologize for the insults before) or if you are a "hard core gamer" that just wants a fun little game (in which case i would also like to point out that kiddie games make girls think you are "sensitive" lol) overall an 8.5 out of 10, just make sure to buy a bit of pain killers for the 6 vehicle sections...

Brings back so many memories.
I 1st got this game for my 11th birthday in 2010 with the Lego Batman/Pure bundle when I got my Xbox 360. Now since I bought it for PlayStation 3 it brings back so many memories especially when I would play it during the summer. Worth the purchase. You can't beat the classics!!!!!

Bat-tastic.
I bought this game for my four year old son for Christmas, but don't let his age make you think this is an easy game to play. He does fantastically, but he's also inhumanly good at video games for his age. His cousins (aged 7-11) play video games at relatively the same pace as he does, so I would recommend this particular game for most 7-8 year olds. I'm using video games at this point to encourage him to learn how to read, and it's so working (bwahahahaha), so yes, there is reading involved in this game, and he has fun AND gets frustrated figuring the game out, as any good game should aspire to instill in it's players. There is "lego" violence in it (punching, kicking, freeze rays, etc) for parents that are concerned about that, but the characters break apart like real legos, so there is absolutely no gore or blood or any of that nastiness. Right now the game's only downfall is that I have to actually limit his time playing...he used to just play games for a half hour or so and then go play something more active, but this game had him playing through 2 full charges of his DSi before I had to confiscate it...

Conoscevo già il titolo in quanto lo acquistai diversi anni fa per la psp. Il gioco è intuitivo, immediato e divertente come tutti i titoli della Lego. Il servizip di Amazon è come sempre impeccabile.
