Review: Makes My Keto Do-able - These are what make and keep me full on my switch to a keto life style. I am a diabetic and these konjac noodles are a godsend, believe me. I have never been pasta addicted, but I did love all sorts of Asian noodle dishes; these noodles can be used in similar dishes. The switch from wheat and rice pastas to konjac was easy. No, the the taste is not the same (they are tasteless), nor is the texture what you are used to; neither are they easily flavored. They are simply palatable with no objectionable flavor, easily and quickly prepared, versatile enough to make any noodle based dish one likes. I add them to my bone and chicken broths, to my hot pots, to my stir fry noodle dishes, to bacon and sausage, to carb-free chowders - to any dish that requires fiber and more bulk. Currently I am eating a restricted-calorie FatFast diet for weight loss, and I include these daily to make the diet very painless for me. They have been good for keeping me regular, and they really help with keeping my blood sugar within normal limits. Just can't say enough good things about konjac/shirataki noodles. About this particular brand I can say this: I have used just a few brands, and of all I have sampled, these were both the least costly and the most odor-free (I should add, though, that I don't have a great sense of smell). Texture seems on a par with other shirataki noodles. You may want to cut them into smaller pieces if you have difficulty chewing or swallowing them - it's simple with a few slices of scissors. Don't try these noodles if you are not up to challenges and don't like new things. Review: no strange smell or taste - This is my first time buying konjac noodles and I kept on hearing about how fishy they would smell, and that this would effect the flavor of what I was cooking. I am happy to say that upon opening each bag there was no strange odors. I rinsed and boiled the noodles, followed by cooking them in a dry pan. they taste like nothing, maybe a bit salty, and have a texture like not so great calamari. They take on other flavors very well and will be buying them again soon.

Interesting
It is a very different product. Not much flavor, a bit like plastic. However, no carbs so it is still a better option than regular noodles.

Paleo pasta alternative
Used to order a different brand that became unavailable. I follow a paleo diet and found konjac noodles to be the best alternative to pasta. I came across this brand just recently but I find their konjac noodles excellent and the price is ok too. I like the texture, somewhat feels al dente. They have no flavor so they pick the flavor of the sauce you use. I enjoy them with an artichoke garlic pesto, they go well in soups and broths. Next day delivery with prime.

Big trade off, but useful
For 18 calories per packet these taste about what I would expect them to. Almost like nothing, just a filler. A somewhat plastic like consistency, no carb flavor, but again that's what I would expect for 18 calories. If you're doing keto(or any diet) and looking for something to fill you up these can work. I don't prefer them as there are better tasting low carb or no carb foods. Maybe an amazing low carb sauce could make these a preferable option. I probably won't reorder, because there are too many superior options available. Both in terms of flavor and price.

Flavorless and plastic feel.
For someone on Keto, finding zero carb pasta is a dream, so from that perspective this would seem to be good. Thats why I bought it. The downside is the flavor and texture. To be blunt, its like eating plastic, thats the feeling you get when you eat it, aside frkm having no flavor whatsoever. I actually tried adding it to a sauce and heating it with the sauce to see if it acquired the taste, but nothing. Iโll settle for not eating pasta while on Keto, as this really was not a suitable replacement.

Closest to actual noodles I've tasted
One thing I've seen a lot of people complain about is an odor that the konjac root puts off when you open the package. All you have to do is rinse the noodles before preparing. They cook wonderfully. The sauce clings to the noodles which I didn't notice with the other brands. They have a very similar taste and feel to noodles. They aren't going to taste and feel exactly like regular pasta, but these are so great for my keto diet. I missed pasta the most so these are well worth the try.

Tough to chew, Overall great product
This is the first zero carb pasta I've ever tried so I really didn't know what to expect. I do like this product. No flavor or smell. I would suggest using kitchen scissors to cut the noodles up into smaller pieces, it is a little too chewy but when cut up into smaller pieces is much more palletable. Cant wait to give it a 2nd try, a little expensive but overall im happy with this purchase!
