Great strings.
Great strings with bright, powerful sound and excellent durability. They bring new life and clarity to the guitar. First time using them and it won't be the last. I will recomend them to my clients.

Hard to tie where they will not slip.
I give these strings 5 stars for their quality and sound, absolutely amazing sound. But first time I have ever had such a hard time tying strings and not slipping. I had to revert to what I would call a fishing knot at the bridge or they would keep slipping. But once I did that sound was magnificent, but taking forever to break in so they will stay in tune.

The best classical guitar strings, without contest
No other strings I've tried even come close to the excellence of these Savarez 540R strings. It's not merely a 20% or 30% improvement or whatever, but rather completely transforms the instrument from being mediocre to truly being musical, with so much more room for expression, dynamic range, subtle but distinct variation in tone, etc. If you don't care about dynamic range or tone control and are fine with all your notes sounding the same regardless of whether you play closer to the bridge vs the neck or with different finger attack angles, etc. then by all means use other strings; otherwise these are the hands-down winner, and nothing else comes close - except for maybe the high-tension version of these. Note that the other Savarez strings such as the 500* series are trash compared to these, so even if other strings such as those seem cheaper, you're missing out unless you go with these (or the high tension variant) IMO - but to each their own!

Just what I needed!
I purchased these strings after working through three sets of the industry standard D'Addario EJ45 Pro-Arte Normal Tension strings, so I will try to compare the two. I got the D'Addario initially because they are cheap, and most people like them. However, they were not making the sound I wanted on my guitar (a very cheap Lucida LG-520). The sound with the D'Addarios was hollow and dull - probably due to my guitar, but D'Addarios were not helping it any. Since I am not yet at the level to buy a $600 guitar, I decided to try these strings due to reviewers indicating an increased brightness. These strings really did make a difference for my cheap guitar. The trebles are clear nylon and seem a little bit thinner than D'Addarios. The tone is bright, clean and very clear. Even the G-string which normally sounds very dull has increased brightness and clarity. The bases also sound great. They sound brighter and more metallic than the D'Addarios. Overall, these are expensive strings, but for me they are worth it in terms of the sound they produce. If they last 3 months, I think it would be money well spent. After that, I will probably try the D'Addario EJ45C Pro-Arte Composite ($5 cheaper, and also great reviews).

Excellent strings but the fluorocarbon trebles were too stiff for me
Tried this set on an Antonio Picado M60 630 mm scale señorita cedar top classical guitar. The trebles were bright and the basses were strong, yet they did not overpower the trebles. The balance and clarify across the six strings was good. However, although the set is rated as normal tension, the fluorocarbon trebles felt stiff. I replaced this set with Knobloch Erithacus EDQ 34.5 but I substituted the nylon 3g string with a EDC 34.5 fluorocarbon 3g string. The hybrid Knobloch set worked much better for me. By the way, the term "Accordian Accessory" is an artifact stemming from a clerical error from many years ago.

Turned my guitar into a magic box!
The perfect strings for my La Patrie Concert! The trebles are brilliant and resonant, and the basses clear and full. Harmonics at the 7th and 12th fret ring like bells, and the first and second string notes beyond the 12th fret sing. And—very important—they are easy to fret and barré*. WARNING: the trebles are very slippery, and the standard knot at the bridge tie block slips. My first string did, and left a mark on the soundboard. The trebles should be tied at the bridge with a double loop followed by the customary knot as shown in the photo, and looped three times at the roller (twice for the thicker G string and a turn to ensure that the string winds over the loose tail). With this kind of tying, it's necessary to eyeball the extra string length at both ends because there isn't much surplus. The settling time is no longer than for the standard D'Addario EJ45. I leave it tuned slightly sharp before putting the guitar away, and that helps. [*For the Concert guitar, Savarez 500 CJ High Tensions choked the tone, and were very hard to fret even with adjustments to the truss rod and 3 mm clearance of the 6th string at the 12th fret.]

Will make you into that gypsy that you deserve!
These strings are pure Flamenco pefection to my ears. When it comes to strings for classical guitar, unlike steel strings, you usually always get what you pay for & since the subtleties of sound is that much greater- tastes always enter into the opinions far more in the Classical string debates- so remember this when someone disses these strings. These strings are worth every penny- period. Why? Because they last so long compared to your basic Nylon strings set and are just percussion brillant and bullet proof even when you are striking them constantly with a lightning attack. Although I find myself playing in Open G/Spanish/Hawaiian-slack tunings alot lately- these strings are still perfect for the job- they keep their bright responsive tone and do not turn to limp noodles in your hands like conventional nylon strings do after a little bit of playing- these guys seem to go on and on.........really. Although I am not a classical player, I have played my fair share and these satisfy all my requirements for classical strings with a little bit of edge to their attack. Definitely 5 stars for quality, durablity and most of all brillant sound.... A most worthy splurge to buy & try !

Great Classical Guitar Strings
These were recommended by my classical guitar instructor. He uses them on his own classical guitar and now I use them on mine. They sound great!
